Life happened today, and I felt the need to be vulnerable and open about my daily struggles with chronic pain and the importance of mental health. After a severe car accident in February 2023, I’ve been navigating not only physical injuries but also the mental trauma that came with it. This experience forced me to slow down, reassess my hustle-driven approach to real estate, and prioritize my well-being. If you’re feeling burned out or overwhelmed, know that you’re not alone and it’s okay to take a break for your mental health.
Real estate is an industry that often glorifies hustle culture, but we need to talk more about mental health and self-care. I’ve learned to restructure my business, delegate tasks, and make time for myself, which has been crucial in my recovery process. Therapy has played a significant role in helping me manage anxiety and panic attacks, allowing me to get back to serving my clients effectively. Remember, taking care of your mental health isn’t a sign of weakness but a necessary step to serve others better and live a balanced life.
