Tbh, as a Plat player, I feel the same way The rein just holds W and gets the fuck in there

He kinda has to on account he is a melee character and he synergizes so well with Ana cause of nano. A nano rein is scary when he is barreling at you at Mach 2 ready to flatten you against a wall and then shatter your whole team. He so much fun if you get good at him

I remember when nobody wanted to play tank in ow1, let alone main tank, and my friends didnt have fun playing because of it. So I started playing the rectangle man, and i know this sounds cheesy, but in every sense, I had been called, and I had answered. I love playing rein because he has to be there for the team, allowing them to play to the fullest, but can absolutely wreck house if needed

Now that they fucking YEETED most of the ccs and tanks are limited to 1 I can fucking play rein without having to worry about being cc'd into oblivion for dropping my shield for 1 nano second

@@astupidlylongnamethatstoolong i never played much tank but i remember, when i mained mei it was the very first time i’ve intentionally played worse out of pity. i had a dva frozen pretty much an entire game, just cycling freeze, wall, ult and at the end all she said was a fucking sad face emoticon :(( and i felt so bad lmao, i stopped freezing tanks more than like once every 30s when i could help it.

Rein and Winston are the best tanks are easily the best tanks and they feel like tanks, Rein being the sheild that bullies you up close and Winston the sheild that creates space and changes the flow of the game.

I swear the ranking system is broken. I was gold 2 on tank, went on a small like 3 game losing streak before finishing out my 7 wins with a 50 and 5 game and a 55 and 3 game, and I ranked DOWN from gold 2 to gold 3. I feel like I played pretty well in my other games too even if they were losses

@@bananamonkeygaming14 won a couple wins with loses beforehand, hit 7 wins total, no changed, continued win streak and got to the next 7 and still no change

Stacked with my brother, him on tank and me on heals. We both hit 7 wins at the same time. I ranked up one level, he ranked DOWN TWICE. He even got POTG on several occasions.

@@ComedyVault101 It is most definitely broken. Nothing has changed since OW1. I spent most seasons in OW1 getting placed in gold or low plat, had to spend all season climbing into masters, then the next season I'd do well on placements and get put back into gold or low plat again. It was infuriating.

She's so boring to play against because she doesn't really have any counterplay for DPS and especially support. Her two biggest counters, Sombra and Genji, have been nerfed recently. Her biggest non-tank counter right now is an enemy Widow, but then the game turns into a Widow 1v1 with a 4v4 going on in the background. Not very fun for the other 3 players that keep getting sniped from across the map and have to walk from spawn every fight. For tank, it turns into a game of having to focus the Widow while still being able to peel for your team. This wasn't an issue in OW1 as the off tank could focus her, but now since there's only one tank, focusing her completely exposes your frontline and backline. The change to one less tank, less shields and increase in her health have made her powerful again, which really sucks because she is so unhealthy for the game. She's also incredibly powerful in half of the maps in rotation right now. Her playstyle is anti-Overwatch, and her being so good in this game sucks the fun out of it. She needs a rework, as do the other DPS snipers.

@@joecon601 PREACH! I'm happy I am far from the only one to think like this. There doesn't exist a true widow counter because of her effectively infinite range in Overwatch. Only another widow can properly counter a widow. I really hope she gets a rework at some point. Thing is, I'm afraid she's just too damn popular for that to ever happen. Blizzard are a bunch of cowards and it would take community wide backlash for her to ever be considered for a rework. Thing is, for some reason the community seems overwhelmingly in favor of keeping widow as is. If she ever starts to get far more commonly played at the rank I play at I'll put down the game for a while.

@@Kurppalumppu the anti-Widow sentiment is definitely growing online. I’ve seen a lot of people on YT, Twitter and Reddit start to realize how bad she is for the game. But you’re right, it’ll take a lot of backlash for Blizzard to consider a rework for her.

@@joecon601 'She needs a rework, as do the other DPS snipers.' I'd argue Ashe and Ana are okay, but Hanzo with his massive arrow hitbox feels so unfun to fight against. If Sojourn gets hard nerfed I can definitely see Hanzo and Widow becoming more and more meta. The Genji nerf was definitely really stupid, so many high level players were getting placed in lower ranks, I'd wager if the nerf was undone he wouldn't be anywhere near as prevalent in low ranks as he was at the start. I really hope we get a Widow counter for supports at some point; one of the big issues of playing tank was having an enemy Pharah/Mercy that your DPS cannot deal with, and you have no counterpick. The new tank is designed directly to fix this, hopefully supports will get something to deal with snipers at some point, it's a major design gap where support feels very helpless against certain heroes. I usually go Brig, but her lack of burst healing to save low health heroes (especially the tank) isn't ideal in many team comps right now.

There is nothing more infuriating then getting 1 shot by a random hanzo arrow. The pure embodiment of skill in this game.

He didnt.Most high elo reins have good enough reaction time to block shatters that arent in their face, so it becomes more of a mindgame of shattering when the enemy reins shield is gone.

it looked like it was a gamble i supposed..the enemy rein just dropped his shield for no reason and flats just shattered at the right time.

chance and experience, most players tend to have a rhythm with their shields, you can predict when they'll drop it
