How AEW FUMBLED Andrade 

I always felt like his best run was was when Zelina vega was managing him with the US title belt, His series of matches with Rey was entertaining to watch, His heel work was superb.

The Andrade and Sammy drama ruined any future he could’ve had in AEW and then trying to get out of his contract really didn’t do anything for him

Upper mid card is the correct place to put him. I know that he wants to be the top guy but it's never going to happen.

Tony just never cared about the guy,he felt important when cody was around but after he went back to wwe,andrade just felt like another guy

Perhaps, but also Andrade fumbled himself by never getting better with promos or vignettes. And then getting into backstage “happenings”

Andrade is one of those guys who should have been a champion in AEW. Not necessarily the world champion but TNT or in later years ROH Champion. And before someone says anything about ROH in AEW, remember Chris Jericho and Claudio Castagnoli were ROH World Champion in the beginning and currently Eddie Kingston ROH World Champion now.

I can agree with this tony didn't know what to do with Andrade he either kept losing or just not appear at all for months on end they put him in the hardy family for literally no reason

AEW has fumbled half their roster

They didn't fumble him or anything like that he was just an unlucky victim of Aew getting bigger and attracting the higher stars,when he signed he was undoubtedly one of the top names on the roster but then other bigger ones became interested and got signed leaving him lost before he really got started!

Andrade can't cut promos. It's probably why he needs different manager to build his character whatever that is. You can't get push if you suck on the mic. Now that he is back in WWE, maybe if rey Mysterio work with him, there is hope just like how he helped Santos Escobar.

Ever since Andrade first came to AEW, something just seemed... off. Almost like he didn't really fit in there (maybe he felt the same after a while). And the whole backstage drama with Sammy "Daddy Jericho Will Always Save My Dumb Ass" Guevara didn't help in the slightest.

Honestly don't think they did, his inability to connect verbally with an American audience is the constant issue Will ps that comment with he is a hell of an in ring performer!!

Shame that AEW didn't fully utilize him. I did enjoy his AEW run and hope things go well for him.

Andrade is a midcarder. Unless he's portrayed as a jobber, that's not fumbling the dude. His opinion of his talents have never translated to that in the USA.

He's an amazing in-ring storyteller and that match with Buddy Matthews was a great homage to their respective WWE women. He could use a manager to help him with promos in English. And he needs a good booker and writing to build heat and feuds. WWE is doing a great job building feuds right now, so he's got a ton of potential if they use him right.

Before I give an unpopular opinion, lemme say that I love Andrade. His NXT character is an all time favorite of mine. But what could he have done in AEW that someone like Scorpio Sky couldn’t have done? I think the loaded roster hurt him more than anything

I love Andrade, but same problem as Malakai, didn't want to job. I'm sure the suspension over childish drama didn't help. I hope WWE does something with him, but given their track record..

If WWE booked Andrade on RAW the same way as AEW, they can send Andrade to NXT since he's a former NXT Champion.

Andrade was getting focus since collision debut and had great showing in C2 and perhaps the biggest win of his career against danielson and he could have been upper card of aew but now in wwe he is an afterthought,did not get much to do in rumble then signed to raw last week and could not make to show this week and might spend wm in catering 😢

I was in attendance for Andrade vs Darby vs Sammy and it was the best match I’ve ever seen live. Excited for what he can do in his second run in wwe.

They did not fumble him. He failed to get over. Rush took the exact same faction & gimmick and people love him.

Andrade has potential to beat Gunther for the IC title.

His limited English will always hold him back unfortunately, he'll just be in the midcard like he was in AEW.

TK has made just about every star and gimmick mean less due to his videogame GM method of booking.

They fumbled this man. The moment he walked into the company, they've switched managers. They've put him in feuds that literally have went nowhere, but he's not the only one. There are several wrestlers that are currently still there and that have left the company that they fumbled the ball with so to speak, listen. I'm not a AEW hater at all, but the company is not perfect. But it's unfortunate that these pundits who have podcasts will just s*** on the company every chance they get

Please forgive me if I sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I have a hunch that another reason why Khan signed Andrade (beyond the usual F U to WWE) is cause of his connections. Remember, Andrade tied the knot with Charlotte Flair in 2022, and her then-contract was expiring in 2023, a perfect opportunity for Khan to have pounced at that time. Can you imagine how big of a middle finger it would have been had ANY of the Four Horsewomen signed with AEW? On top of that, of the Four Horsewomen (Sasha Banks/Mercedes Mone, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch), Flair is the most decorated, and can carry a division on her back. Not only would Khan gotten his biggest anti-WWE dopamine rush yet to see Charlotte Flair in Jacksonville, but her in AEW's Women's Division would have at least improved the quality of matches. In hindsight, he did get a Flair, but he got Andrade's FIL (Ric Flair) rather than his wife.

His AEW matches were usually bangers. But yeah, definitely felt both the org and man never got on the same page.

Andrade's a good worker but nothing about him felt like a main event act, and he seemed to resent putting over homegrown talent. Once it became clear Charlotte wasn't following him, his days were numbered, even before he actively started trying to get fired.

WWE never gave him his flowers, when he came from NXT he was supposed to be one of the top 3 men in WWE. But they always mess up your career when u leave nxt unless you are chosen.

Feel like it can go either way if AEW fumbled him or if he fumbled himself. He joined at a good time but they didn’t debut him well and constantly changed his booking and his managers. Pairing him up with Matt Hardy and a dumb faction and didn’t have him really pair up with the rest of Los Ingobernables and lead that faction. Andrade himself also isn’t a good promo because of his Mexican roots so of course makes sense to pair him up with a manager to speak for him or they could have just let him cut promos in Spanish like how WWE is letting their Latin and Japanese stars speak their native languages. There’s also the backstage issues, I personally think Sammy should have also gotten punished as well for starting twitter beef in the first place but also just don’t understand how no one sees those tweets and just does their best to keep the guys separated from each other. Andrade is a great in ring talent but is upper Midcard at best because of lack of character and promo ability being TNT or International champion would have been great to see but because of how top heavy AEW is hard to fit someone in

AEW didnt fumble him. He failed to get over on his first run on the WWE main roster as well. He out doesn’t have that “it” factor to be a main event star/world champion. If he flops again in WWE people just have to realize he can’t seem to get over no matter where he’s at.

Not exactly accurate to say he was gone purely because of the Sammy altercation, dude literally tore his pec and had to get surgery at that time.

No, TK did not fumbled Andrade. Andrade screwed Andrade. The moment Vince McMahon retired and HHH took over creative, that's when Andrade wanted out of AEW. He did not want to be there anymore, so what did he do? He went to extreme measures to get himself fired by picking a fight with Sammy Guevara, hoping TK fired him, but instead, TK suspended him. Andrade's plans backfired. You can see why TK did not put much effort to push him. He doesn't want to waste his time focusing on someone who doesn't want to be in AEW. The nicest thing TK did for Andrade was giving him a proper send-off, and releasing him early. Andrade should appreciate TK for that.

Andrade is so good in the ring but AEW gave him no direction. The family office stable was a pointless burden to everyone involved.

This guy just doesn’t have “it” no matter where he goes. He doesn’t have the “ it” factor. Simple. He needs to just go away.

I feel Tony Khan only signed Andrade to be a bragging right, the only kind of good thing Andrade did in AEW was the storyline with the House of Black but that had a bad finish because he never faced Malakai Black. When Andrade was released he should've went to AAA, Konnan would'be pushed him to the moon

I always felt like the value of this man has always been underestimated. He was constantly involved in top tier matches back in NXT (His match vs Gorgano is a prime example), Not to mention his series of matches with Rey. Hopefully, They use him properly this time & finally get him to face people like Gunther for the IC belt or get in a storyline with LWO.

As good as the wrestling is it's not going to get you over alone. You have to have a character and able to cut some what of a promo.

I'm a fan of Andrade but tbh he shares a lot of the blame too. For starters, his promos suck and he has shown no interest to get better at speaking English. When he first came in AEW, he gained some muscle and it slowed him down in the ring considerably. Just look at any match he had in NXT or even the main roster in his first run and compare it to the stuff he was doing when he first came in AEW. The crisp of his speed was not the same. He also imo got overshadowed by many other luchadores in AEW. Guys like Penta, Fenix, and even Bandido would come out and win the crowd over by the end of the match. Andrade's first few matches were slightly above average at best. Getting into a fight with Sami also didn't help. When he came back during his second half of his run on Collision is when he started improving. He slimmed down some and his in ring had improved a lot. I was actually starting to get into him again but it was too little too late. I wish him the best in WWE but he's really an upper card guy at best and I say that as someone who likes him. He definitely works at his best as a heel and with a mouthpiece. Without that, he's not sniffing any top titles in any company.

Funny how "all the problem wrestlers who had backstage heat" at AEW got on fine there until Cody left. Even if they didn't do a story with him, they still were cool there until Cody left, and THAT'S when the children started acting up.
