Just a quick one which is super helpful - if you use a Sampler (instead of Simpler) you can tell it the note of the sample using the 'Root' option in the bottom left, so you can choose the note of the sample and then it'll remap it so you can play it like an instrument. Saves having to work out the transposition (if you're lazy)
Loads of useful stuff as ever, Yalcin!👏🏼 Kind of on the same lines but I always struggle to get the classy energy of a bongo track on uplifting melodic house like Dee Montero. It would be great if you did a video covering some hints and tips on this?
What a great showcase, thanks Sensei! I'm just asking myself why to use a send/return echo effect instead of inside the track. Isn't everything which sends into it affected by the automation in your case?
Cheers! ☺🙌 I would suggest watching this video to understand a bit more about insert vs return FX. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tsi3t0uL_eY.html
Using return channels is super handy when you want the dry signal to be 100% but want some color, some effect on it, without messing up with the original sound, return tracks are often 100% wet(doesn't have to be), and depending on how much you send, the louder the wet effect gets but instead of changing your original sound, return tracks just add a layer beneath it (or on top, depending how you set up your return tracks). Very useful skill, i suggest messing with it early so you grasp it better and understand the use cases. 👍😁
Hi Alice, big fan, I remember you previously did a lot of arp demos in your videos, I wasn't sure if you were going to reconstruct the "Children" remix by Tinlicker, I really like the arp in his remix but I struggled to replicate as I'm still new to logic. Keep up the great work. I've learned a lot over the past year from your other videos so thank you very much for continuing to provide great content.
Hey man! I do really appreciate your content, and just wanted to suggest you to lower the background music's volume, I think that sometimes it mixes too much with the audio from Ableton and messes up things a bit :) Have a good day!
I love your videos... found you from shorts..I make a South African genre called Amapiano but the signature sound is a Log Drum bass in FL Studio plugin DX10, Can you please recreate the bass patch in Serum or Vital because I want to move to Ableton....thank you.
Hello Yalcin, seems like when I put the envelop follower on 50-50 the amped gain will not duck but if I put different values in the % of the envelop follower its ducking... idk what I am doing wrong, help maybe :P :D
@@Alice-Efe My friend I don't mean anything bad :D ! Really happy that you can take a joke. Humor is Humor! If you feel good about yourself you can take a joke or two! You channel is amazing! Keep being yourself! :D
You mean playing the tom sounds in different pitches? If so; just load a sampler or simpler and drop the sample on it then match the tuning of the sample to C. (You can also just double click any sample and it would actually load it into simpler as well. ) Then you can play it like an instrument.
Something weird is going on with the audio… the kicks were doubling up with a very short delay (at the beginning, intro section of the video). Not sure if this was on purpose.
You are hearing the kick from my mic as I am counting together with the audio. My editor missed to allign the audio there but it is for demonstration purposes so small echo on kick doesn't really change anything☺🙌
I just didn't understand adding the groove to the toms, i mean i don't hear the difference, maybe shortening the sample or place a little bit different may have the same result?
It really depends on how much you want to add. At the part where I am decreasing different groove parameter percentage; you can keep it high to "exaggrate" the groove. That would make everything more obvious.
