On the eve of flying to Paris to compete in the Olympic Games for Team USA, 2x Olympian Bryce Deadmon goes through his full recovery routine in Houston, Texas. Fellow training partner Josephus Lyles joined Deadmon on their training recovery day.
Recovery Session:
25-30 min warm-up
20m-30m-40m strides
2-5 min rest
movement prep
2-5 min rest
hurdle drills (Deadmon)
straight leg bounds 2x30m-60m w/ 4 min rest (Lyles)
1-2 min rest
5 min cooldown

Thank you for making content that actually shows the day in and day out grind of being a professional track and field athlete. It can’t always be the sexy huge workouts. When channels only show workouts, the younger athletes think that’s the only thing that matters to get better. It’s the little things. Great stuff.
