Angie Bellinger is the one-woman show behind Workmen’s Cafe in James Island, South Carolina. Located in a small repurposed house on the roadside on the way to Folly Beach, Workmen’s is known to attract a rush of blue collar workers around lunchtime seeking a plate of Bellinger’s homey and affordable cooking.

I think that if Angie didn't have the Cafe she would be serving lunch to a lot of people in her home. Where I live most of the cafes are getting to concerned with the latest exotic ingredient rather than just serving good food to fill your belly and put a smile on your face. For a basically one man show she makes it look easy. I am glad I saw this video.

I really like the way she talks, it's super pleasant and still has a good amount of emotion in her words.

Every time i see these types of videos, it makes me grit and clench my teeth and makes me so angry. Instead of trying to focus on Food. When they say we've been doing this (for ex:) 70 years or since 1929, I imagine the time of Racism they went through. Like Otha Turner. There's always a Dark Side to their story they don't tell. I don't know why it makes me so angry. Like I shouldn't be complaining about my life because i really am blessed to be born at this day in age. They're strong people
