I think anky’s armor should be damn near impossible to get broken by, say, a giga or acro, but it should be slightly more vulnerable to rex. But, fear not future anky mains! You won’t get demolished by Rex! You’ll just have to be a little bit more careful around animals with strong bites, instead of(like current stego) demolishing them all by breathing in their direction. I know I’m basically repeating what’s said in this video, but what is said in this video is worth repeating lol.

I don't know why it took so long for me to watch this but this is a great idea. Also this video gave me some other ideas, what if trying to bite trough armor could result in broken teeth ? Reducing the damage and bleed from the bite by %5 to %15 for a short time depending on how many teeth are broken, and animals that rely on bite force could have a higher resistance to it, it would also be fun if large carnivores had to flip a dead anky on it's back to actually start eating it, of course it's only purpose would be to look cool but it'd be a nice touch.
Personally I feel any should blindly rely on its armor. It's too slow to escape anything. In a herd sure it can defend itself but what if you log in as an adult any and your alone. You run into two adult rex but you can't escape them because your far too slow. I think anky should have a defensive stance that lowers its center of gravity reducing its movement speed even more in exchange for even more reduced bleed and damage. They should hit hard with bone breaking tail to make predator packs think twice before attacking. I think that when they are not in a defensive stance they should be able to be rolled onto their back to reveal their under belly for a kill. Small animals like Utah can nip the legs for higher damage or just avoid the thing. If an animal is too slow to escape then it must be able to fight.
i was thinking about the apexes could do like a charge ability which takes almost all of the apexes stamina with a 50% chance could flip a anky over and give the anky 10 seconds till it could get up and continue fighting
They could make a mechanic for some dinosaurs with heavy armor where if it’s so though and u bite it way too much ur mouth breaks and gets reduced damage and needs a perfect diet to get it perfectly heal it and anky could have a heavy weak point on the head and if it would get hit there it would take super much damage for not caring about it’s surroundings and maybe give it a charge attack that is super slow but with heavy damage and they could make it so anky could be a slow heavy tank but with super weak spots at the head or base of the tail and it might sound weird but it would be high risk high reward. And minmi.minim should be able to use its dig ability to its full with it being able to dig it self under ground a small bit and it would be only available in burrows making it nice and it could have a attack where it tries its tail to stab a bit with small or decent bleed 🩸 and not fracture and ima say one thing about burrows burrows should be used for nesting and safe logging as it would be a good safe log and nest it could be like a nesting ground but smaller and if another small tier finds the burrow as a carnivore it would have a giant meal 🤨🤨 it would be a perfect safe log but still a bit dangerous and I’m Done talking have a good way and super good video
@@Orni-Mega-Lonyx I think that burrowing deserves its own literal mechanic and anky bein able to fracture the mouth so carnivores don’t see it as super easy prey and I think it should take a lot of skill instead of some other dinos some other dinosaurs
i think armour should be like hp where instead of your health taking dmg armour should, where after a while armour breaks and if you survive it slowly heals
You are already one of my favourite isle youtubers and i have been subbed for less than 2 months. I do agree that you should take care of yourself, and i would prefer less content and a happier you than the opposite. If you look at many youtubers that pump out content, they will inevitably take a break. Your content is well thought out and quality, and it takes a while to make those videos. Take care of yourself.
I want to know how anky would interact with underwater predators when going across rivers, would it be able to attack in the water? would anky be able to be grabbed by a deino, or pushed upside down by a deino when it's walking through a river? I guess it makes sense cus the anky has less grip on a riverbed, but i want to see what everyone else thinks
Maybe Apexes should have the ability to flip a juvenile anky onto its back, it could be a decent way to maintain the population so there’s not servers full of unkillable tanks.
so anky gets an armor wear effect potentially. After a certain amount of damage has been sustained without time for anky to recover the armor break status comes in to play. However if anky hasnt sustained marginal damage to its armor over time its armor break threshold regenerates up to its max health pool once again.
I like the ideas for armor you had, the big dynamic armor idea for sure. When please?! Add more in patch 6.5 I'm be heck sad if they don't add a bunch next year it's been over a year come on guys. Just a couple more every quarter.
I think Anky should just be mostly immune to apexes aside from Rex and Deinosuchus. When you said "How is giga going to hit Anky without getting clubbed" Its not! It just wont go for Anky because a decent Anky player should just have the advantage regardless. Thats how it should be I think. Let them be slow near invincible herbis because thats what Anky is, and no awesomebro look how awesome our monster spinosaurus is flipping over Anky concept art should change that. Rex and Deinosuchus on the other-hand, maybe them vs Anky should have 50/50 battles where the armor puts the lower base stat Anky on the same playing field. They were bone crushers after all, and Rex lived alongside Anky.
Also on the video I do like the concept of anky having reduced dmg everywhere around his armor but he still will be taking dmg what I imagine is to not be overpower while crouching you'd be covering your lower area which for mid size or smaller dinos is the main thing to attack but while crouching you won't be able to swing you're club so u have to stand up and then swing it so u basically choose to fight back as u should or defend urself and eventually die but ofc for big dinos apexes you still take a lot of dmg from them probably not bleed from the armor but can still die if two or more apexes go on top of you.
@@ExitLight886 exactly it'll make for an interesting combat for sure apexes ofc still have to be alert for the danger of the club bc I still imagine it can fracture you as it should do but I can also imagine that anky won't have much health to compensate with the tough armor and the bone braking club so if you wanna finish the anky you'll have to do it precisely and fast so it's kind of perfect for dinos with a lot of dmg such as rex.
Ankys armor should be tough when almost adult and very weak when its a baby i feel like kentro should have an ability where if u attack it or touch its spikes u get a small amount of dmg and bleed
all ceratops should have reduced damage to the head at the end that was the point of that elongated head they have (I don't remember what it's called) And take care

You have to remember the concept of flipping the anky around we see in the spino concept art. The armor shouldn't receive damage at all, impossible to penetrate, just like in real life, based on the concept arts, that's how it'll be. But you have the vulnerable parts like the head, a single bite from a big carnivore is enough to rip it off, so protecting it is priority, a well-placed bite on one of the legs, to slow it down, especially the back legs that aren't armored. The concept of just biting an armored dinosaur until it drops dead is way too boring at this point.
Ik this video is over a year old so no one will probs see this, but i just thought of a decent alternative. Make anky unique in that its tail is its weakspot. Its the most mobile part of its body so its safe to assume it would be less armored. Anky could have little to no armor on its tail, making it so that to defeat one, you bait out their tail swipe before rushing in and attacking. Idk it seems more balanced imo rather then rex being the only real dino that could give it a challenge. This idea is still good tho
I think anky armor should be basically resident to all bleeders like arco n giga who shouldn’t be able to do any damage to anky while all other creatures who rely on pure bite force to kill there prey like Rex n deino can do significant damage to anky amour like for example if a Rex bites anky a good piece of amour will be torn off and also breach in Ankys skin on the other hand if a giga goes to bite anky it just scratches the armor and the anky basically takes no damage but! I said ankys armor should be resident to bleeders if ankys armor is breach n a giga goes for a bite the anky is screwed And is gonna take significant n possible lethal damage. I believe anky shouldn’t be “invincible” as if a anky just sits there it’s gonna end up killed anky should really rely on its tail.
nah they should be able to do some damage, but not significant damage. NOTHING should be doing significant damage to the living tank, that's the whole point of it.
@@colecampbell1906 I get that but we can’t just beat around the bush and say that a rexes bite won’t be able to make a dent in a anky after all it had the most powerful bite force on land besides maybe deino but i don’t think ankys should entirely rely on just there defense after all they have that bone breaking club tail so they need to put some use into that 🤷♀️
@@No_name8374 we wouldn't be saying that at all... as I said, it should do some damage on its armor (while the others with weaker bites would do nothing) but it definitely shouldn't do any significant damage. Basically most things can't do damage but the few with big enough bite force can do some but not alot. However, if it's a shorter creature or something happens where they have access to the underbelly, then anything can damage it there. They'd still need to rely on the tail because they can't just sit there and let the Rex's chomp on them otherwise they'll die. Just because it's not doing significant damage doesn't mean it's doing nothing at all.
@@colecampbell1906 sorry I missed read the message a bit I apologize I personally think Rex needs to be able to make a decent dent in anky as in that fight the anky has way more going for it so it should balance out a bit in my opinion. Also I hope anky can just crouch or sit down if anything tries to attack it from underneath and just crush whatever is s under it that would be soo funny 😂

ankylosaurus would never be able to kill a large carnivore, say acro, rex, giga or anything else (but maybe a spino) first of all, it would solely rely on defense once it's defense is penetrated its going to be murdered, it was only 3.5 - 4 tonnes in weight (maximum) so, if a giga does even 700 damage, 4 - 5 bites would bleed it out it's club is definitely strong, but considering the fact its a 50kg weapon that can hardly be swung trying to kill a trex it wont do much by all means make an anky be able to solo 1 or 2 allos and fend against a carno pack, but theres no way it could ever kill an apex

Don't force yourself to keep uploading videos it's not the end of the world if you take couple of days if not weeks brake from vids for yourself say take the next few days off for yourself and when the new dev vlog drops you can upload you're thoughts on it and than countinue your brake there's noting interesting going on with the isle currently so it's better to just take that as ur little brake time until more content comes into play.
