I cried watching the scene with Elvis (Austin) in the closet knowing that Austin's mom had died at the same age as Elvis' mom and thinking how difficult those scenes must have been for him. As a mom, I wanted to hug him after that - his mom must be looking down from heaven and feeling so proud of her son!

I'm surprised none of the interviewers have asked him what he thinks his mom would say about his performance, but they may have been instructed not to ask.

He must have felt so sad in the closet. Tears were real, I bet. Both of them were so close to their Mothers. I’m glad they put this in the movie. It showed respect for both of their mothers to me. ❤️❤️❤️

I thought the same, must have been extremely difficult.

Austin Butler really did humanize Elvis. He showed how Elvis was a real person.

This was an EXCELLENT interview. I felt that the interviewer was prepared, respectful, articulate, and sensitive. It was very refreshing.

This is so beautiful because of the racial context. The fact she has memories of her father putting Elvis on in the house before going to church tells you everything you need to know

Seen the movie three times, Austin has done an incredible job, and I'm sure his mum would be proud :)

It’s so refreshing and nice to hear from this interviewer, she’s actually interested in Baz and Austin’s responses and relates her own life, such a perfect interviewer❤️

Austin is so wise, so vulnerable, he has a beautiful energy, such a pure soul.

I grew up from early childhood in New England listening to Southern Gospel, Blackwood Brothers, Staler Brothers etc, thanks to my southern mother and grandmother. When Elvis made his Gospel record...that was mine !! I still listen to it often. His singing of them reaches me so deeply and are some of my favorite recordings of Elvis. Thank You for bringing it up in this interview

Polly Bennet deserves an Oscar for this one. She was also the movement coach for Rami Malek in Bohemia's Rhapsody. It's a shame there isn't an Oscar (or any other award?) for movement coaches. She's the best!

Austin has said polly Bennet was beside him every step of the way. Even times when Elvis doing mundane things like brushing his teeth or going to bed, Austin had to do it like elvis would have.
@kindking8009
@kindking8009 Год назад
@@lifeissweet9826 How Polly Bennet would know how Elvis brushed his teeth is beyond me unless she consulted Priscilla, but I get what you're saying. She's very thorough and I think that's why Austin was so convincing.
@DYA9091

@@kindking8009 it's not like that, what she did was help Austin connect his movements to his emotions.

Elvis was a lonely man,I cant help but wander just how many really knew him as a human being.He was born with a wonderful talent and he knew how to use it.I believe the world was in love with the image of Elvis moreso of understanding who the man really was as a person.

I think that by now i have watched 90% of the interviews that Baz and Austin ever talked about Elvis, the movie. This is by far the best one, the only bad part is when it's over.
