The scene with the kid being scared of Batman is the reason why he allowed Robin to join him when patrolling Gotham. He said it himself that he's trying to scare criminals, not children. That's the original in universe explanation for Robin.

The movie and comic is called Justice League: New Frontier. It's amazing. One of the reasons I believe we should base dc's comic book movies in the 30-late 50s.

In the book they explained this by saying Hitler had possession of the spear of destiny, a powerful magical artifact that acted as a deterant to prevent the hero's from joining the war. I'm the end, it was soldiers that won the day which led to the public shifting away from hero worship and with assistance from the red scare, made the hate them. The jsa was forced to disband, the magical community either retired or left earth and the two strongest icons, superman and wonder woman, became agents of the us government. Batman became an outlaw and task force x (the suicide squad) was formed to ward of supervillians.
After watching Justice League New Frontier i want to see an animated Spider-man series set in the mid 1960s with a art style similar to the comics by Steve Ditko and John Romita Sr

It’s both amazing and terrifying how Batman is able to threaten, terrify, and make beings that are beyond his strength to think twice before making a move against him. It goes to show that the mind is a power beyond gods and alternative beings of unfathomable power. Well done Batman, well done 👍
He really just relies on the fact they don’t want to kill him but he wouldn’t mind mortally wounding them, or the fact that they aren’t too threatened by him but the fact he knows your weakness is pretty terrifying when nobody else does. It’s like a woman leading a group of men by being ferocious, yeah you could probably over power her but is it worth losing an eye?

To know the weakness of every justice league member to have it his disposal, and be ready to use them should it be necessary. That is why Batman is one of my favorite superheroes of all time. Contingency plans are his contingency plans.

In fairness, this version of Batman only knows J'ohn's weakness because he literally saw J'ohn freeze up in fear when the curtains caught fire during the fight with the cult. If it weren't for that, Batman would be at a slight disadvantage.
Nether Foll personally, in the old cartoons i liked Kevin Conroy for an older Batman. But my favourite is Jason O’Mara. He does such a good job in the DCAMU and has a very suitable voice.
New Frontier. Very good book turned into a good animated film. I absolutely love it. I know many don’t because they’ve been spoiled by films like Dark Knight Returns and the New 52 films but I think this is one of the best. Jeremy Sisto is a good Batman and it’s been 13 years but I wanted to see him in more Batman media.
ULTRAMATE Easily. That’s my favorite Batman book, Animated film, and 3rd favorite Batman film in general. I’m just saying, people expected a high amount when this was a damn good story by itself. It’s like watching Batman Returns then jumping back to the 1943 serial with expectations high. It’s no competition but it’s a good fun time to see
Years later I still mourn Cooke, he was the reconstructing comic writer the industry needs now. He was also one of the few writers to make a before watchmen worthy of the series. I don’t care what you say before watchmen minutemen >>> the hbo series.
I feel the reason Batman intimidates some of his fellow heroes isn't because they fear pain or anything, they have villains who try and kill them all the time. It's that Batman will do everything and anything to make good on his word. His tenacity is what gives his promises and threats power.

This reimagining of the 50's era DC universe is really well done, right down to those proper mid Atlantic accents and frames of reference. Also the choice to NOT use Kevin Conroy for the voice was a good one. While he is fantastic and the gold standard, this batman like the first incarnations in DC is a far darker, far less inhibited warrior. He really has no qualms about severely injuring or even killing foes, which is anathema to Conroys batman.
@@aryan7767 Disagree. The list of heroes who kill is INCREDIBLY short. Off the top of my head, it's the punisher. Period. When Batman was still dropping fools, he was the only one. Superman doesn't kill, Spider-Man same deal. Batman was the EXCEPTION in that he would kill. Being the exception is far more interesting than just being one more dude who acts a certain way.

This was one of their greatest animated movie. Not only does it take them to the gold-silver age of comics. But it gives Batman enough screen time so that he’s not stealing the spotlight from the heroes. But also giving him a good amount of the spotlight as well. I really enjoyed this movie!!

This movie is a really good distillation of Cooke's sprawling epic (making the Centre a more, um, central threat was a great choice; as well as having Batman be part of the final battle), but I wouldn't mind seeing a somewhat more faithful adaptation that allows us to spend more time with certain characters who are reduced to cameos here.

Wow…. Jeremy Sisto sounds badass as The Caped Crusader, I looked up his résumé and I was surprised to find out that he appeared on Law and Order, I can see why he was hired probably. It’s a shame that he didn’t voice Batman again in a another project.
I never thought that batman can still be an absolute badass in his golden age/first appearance suit cuz honestly in his first appearance he was so campy but this proves how batman's character evolved throughout the years and this scene alone proves that he is still a badass despite rocking his campy first appearance suit. Overall, I love the comic and this movie.
