the fact that the billionaires describe playing mine sweeper as "accumulating enough squares until the board is useless" is so funny to me

A security expert actually looked at the issue of how to keep the guards "loyal". The best he could come up with was to take their families hostage.

After the whole sketch, using Mine Sweeper to show how trying to accumulate as much as possible without thinking of the environment and that resulting in another "end of the world" was brilliant.

Did Ryan George seriously just use minesweeper as a metaphor for the present focused consumption culture, resource using, global capitalist system of short term profits? Man's a pro.

"So what did it? Pandemic, nuclear war, climate change?" "Yes" "That makes sense actually"

There's a thin line between having a conscience and conning science, these billionaires know what's up

"I jump scared you with my real person" 😂 that got me even more than the sketch 😂😂

I would watch a show about 5 billionaires living on a Mars colony and just immediately going mad because living on Mars would be like living in Antarctica except more inhospitable

“What are we going to do about this?” “Like how are we going to help everybody?” “No like how are we going to get out of here?” Salesman when people are still in the store 3 minutes after closing

The end implies that Ryan has the ability to make any of these characters black out simply by being himself

Wasn't expecting the minesweeper joke to become a very elegant metaphor but here we go

"con-science" "Oh I used to have that, that is *not* good for business" This is so accurate that billionaires wouldn't even recognise it as an insult

Billionaires be like : “time to go on a vacation”

Props to Ryan for getting a very real beard, growing old to make it white, and coming back in time for the sketch

I think all of their net worth’s just dropped below a billion dollars if money isn’t worth anything anymore 🤷‍♂️

Even in a Sketch where Ryan is portraying every character, he still presented a more diverse-looking group of billionaires than exists in real life

Watching comedy sketches that are really relevant and kinda make you think about serious topics in different ways is tight!

I hope everyone knows that this entire sketch is based on a real interview that the author had with some billionaires. They legitimately are as insane as you would imagine, rather than helping the planet they are more concerned with how to maintain their lives in an apocalypse. Some are working on living forever.

I discovered this channel through the silly stuff like naming vegetables. I though that the video was good, bit thought that the style would get old pretty quickly. Is been 2 months since I discovered him, my yt homepage is full of Ryan, and I'm still not bored of his videos. I'm always surprised at how Ryan manages to put some serious stuff like Elon Musk, car centric design and greedy billionaires in a shell of his silly comedy. I've never seen such comedy before, I think Ryan invented a comedy genre and is killing it. Brilliant vid

Here's the scary thing: _This isn't a joke._ There are literally people with considerable financial power who are seriously concerned with the issue of maintaining that power should "the Event" occur. (The Event being anything that causes the current society to collapse.) We're talking about people who are seriously making plans for how to enslave and control people after the point where just "being rich" stops working. I can't stress this enough: This is something _real people_ are currently _actually_ thinking about.
