In Jesus' prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus said: "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me, yet not my will, but yours be done." How do you interpret this verse? Even though Jesus ended his prayer by submitting to the will of the Father, the desire to escape crucifixion had crossed his mind. Jesus once rebuked Peter for wanting to protect him from the people who wanted to crucify him. This rebuke is serious, because it claims that Peter's mind was possessed by the devil. In this way, Jesus' mind could still be infiltrated by the devil. And it is proven that Jesus was tempted in the desert by the devil. Isn't the worldly desire also a result of original sin? How can Christians say Jesus is 100% God, 100% human, while on the other hand they say Jesus did not sin?

He spoke and prayed to his heavenly Father. He had his own will even when he was a human. He could disobay,he could sin, although he did not. That's your explaination , Bible does'nt explain that way. To believe Jesus is God is very hard not only for me but for many christians as well. What I am gathering from you is Jesus is part of God, but not necessarily the same. To me "God" gives life and takes life; if Jesus died (I believe he is with God), that means he is not God and someone else took his life, someone more powerful than him. God the giver of life doesn't die.

Begotten of the Father before all ages. Not made, not created. There is a difference, but if you come from a Protestant Evangelical background like I did, it's a tough concept. People pray to Jesus because they believe in a trinity. That is to contravene the first commandment of God Which God says "You shall have no gods before Me." Let's apply simple logic. If he is God and you pray to God, then in essence, you pray to him, and have broken no laws. If he is not God and you pray to him as God, then you have broken the first commandment and practice idolatry. So which one would you rather do? Plus, the trinity gospel came out more than 300 years after Christ left. God is one, He is not a trinity.
It wasn't accurate. He didn't listen to the question. The question was why was Jesus praying in his human form if he himself is supposedly God? Who was he praying to is what the lady asked. You are right, in part though. Jesus, who by Himself had marked the day of His second coming, but did not know it when He was in flesh. But after His resurrection, He knew about it. But all through His life on earth, all that He did were were not of necessity, but they were just a demo, for His children to follow. There is only one God. He was in Heaven performing the office of the Father, on earth, the office of God-Man, and other offices under different "Names." Psalm 139 vividly describes God's omnipresence.
So how can the Father still be the God of Christ sitting on the right hand of the Father, himself being God and part of the godhead? (Eph 1:3, 1Pet 1:3, Heb 1:9 KJB, Rev 15:3-4) How can God have a God?

Jesus christ is God and there is no way he plays the role of Intercession. When the bible said he prays to God, it meant to talk about the human nature which has become one nature in Jesus christ. Jesus christ is God and the recipient of all prayers.

It's not a blanket endorsement of church traditions. Remember, at the time all they had was the Old Testament and the teaching of the apostles. How do we know this? Did Christ explain this duel nature in the scriptures, or did councils of men vote on it centuries later? If he is one with the Father and also equally God, how does he not know the Fathers will? Does the Spirit pray to the Father? So if their claims are correct . it means the real posibility that GOD the infinite don't do 100% everything and instead like to outsource part of his duties to his owns creations too , like Angels , Archangels and Creators Son and to Aliens too. why not? ANSWER The phrase “the Father is greater than I” (John 14:28) was spoken by Jesus during the upper room discourse, and the greater context is the promising of the Holy Spirit to the disciples after Jesus’ resurrection. Jesus says repeatedly that He is doing the Father’s will, thereby implying that He is somehow subservient to the Father. The question then becomes how can Jesus be equal to God when by His own admission He is subservient to the will of God? The answer to this question lies within the nature of the incarnation. During the incarnation, Jesus was temporarily “made lower than the angels” (Hebrews 2:9), which refers to Jesus’ status. The doctrine of the incarnation says that the second Person of the Trinity took on human flesh. Therefore, for all intents and purposes, Jesus was fully human and “made lower than the angels.” However, Jesus is fully divine, too. By taking on human nature, Jesus did not relinquish His divine nature-God cannot stop being God. How do we reconcile the fact that the second Person of the Trinity is fully divine yet fully human and by definition “lower than the angels”? The answer to that question can be found in Philippians 2:5-11. When the second Person of the Trinity took on human form, something amazing occurred. I have been a little confused about God and Jesus. Because I have seen God and his eyes are Blue , However I have seen Jesus as well and a great peace came over me. Jesus on the other Hand has Golden Hair and Beard verses God has White Hair with blue eyes.So What is going on? I understand However The Experience I had with the Father not that I just seen him But Felt Him in such amount of extacy if I had seen any more of him I would have turned to dust!! I wasn’t sleeping completely Sober .. The Love and peace happiness all that I was over Flowed with. I alway believed in God but I Questioned it at the time and two weeks later that happened Wide Awake . I only saw his eyes and forehead. When the Bible says God and Christ are one, it is referring to the fact that you will always get the same answer from both, as they are of one mind. His word tells us in romans 6:23 that the wages or consequences or punishment for our sins is death. that’s why you see everything dying like the grass, flowers, and even humans, because we all have sinned against God! He is an angry judge! The Book of Psalms tells us: “The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity. You shall destroy those who speak falsehood; The LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.” and 1 corinthians 6 tells us “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers (slanderers), nor extortioners (swindlerers) will inherit the kingdom of God.” And God himself tells us in revelation 21 that the "cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” So listen to this, if a thief stole a car gets sent to court and the judge asks the thief why he should let him go, the thief says, “judge, look at all the good things I've done! I've fed the homeless, take care of my family, and i donate 20% of my money to children with cancer!” The judge will tell the thief that he is crazy for thinking he will let him go because of his good deeds! because he isn’t judging him for his good deeds, he is only judging him for his crime! so if the judge is a good and just judge he would give the thief justice and send him to prison. in the same way you stand before God Who is much more holy and just than any other judge, and He brings up all of your sins, every empty and idle word you said, every lie you told, all your blasphemies, all your lust in your heart, and everything you ever stolen. and He asks you why He should let you go and not give you justice and judge all of the evil and filthy and sinful things you done against Him, your crimes against His law. and you tell Him “ Lord! Lord! I prayed to you 5 times a day, i wore certain clothes for you, and i never ate certian foods for you, and fasted for you so many times! And I did very good deeds!” God will tell you “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” But we all sinned and fell short of the glory of God so where is any hope for any of us? well i have to tell you my friend that our only hope is in Jesus Christ and His blood! because Jesus Christ gave up His throne in heaven to come to earth and live that perfect sinless life that you and me couldn’t live. then He died for you and me on that cross around 2000 years ago, so that our sins would be forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness with the holiness and righteousness of His perfect sinless blood. if I'm sent to court and I'm guilty, the judge will send me to jail! Unless someone pays for my crime! It's legal and just even if I'm guilty, I'm free to go if someone pays my fine!, so I'm free! the crime was paid. and this is what the blood of Jesus Christ is for you my friend! to pay for your crimes! to pay off all your debts! to pay the price of your sins. that is why Jesus Christ said, “It is finished” just before He died and 3 days before His resurrection! so on the day of judgement, you can’t get rid of the judgment of God and His wrath for your sins against Him without the blood of Jesus Christ! but with Jesus Christ you will be pure and clean in the sight of God on judgement day, because He wouldn’t see your sins, He would see the price He paid for you by the blood of His Son Jesus Christ and see His righteousness in you instead of your sins. like He says in john 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” But what you have to do is repent, turn away from your sins and turn to Jesus Christ! put your faith and trust in Him and what He did for you on that cross and out of tha empty tomb around 2000 years ago! God can’t die! well john chapter 1 tells us that God became flesh and toke the seed of abraham which means He was made as a human man. so we know that all flesh has to eat, drink, and sleep. and all flesh can get hurt and can die. so the only way for God to die is for God to become something that can die, like a human man. now i’m not so sure about all this 2 kinds of nature stuff but i think we know from ephesians 4:9 that Jesus Christ’s spirit did not die but He was in the heart of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights, and then rose from the dead. matthew 12:40 but i have no idea what that really means, so whether we understand all of this or not...we still have a price to pay for our sins, and the wages, or consequences, or punishment, or price is death. eternal death in the righteous judgement and anger of God in hell. unless we do what romans 10:9-13 says and repent from our sins and our ways to turn to Jesus Christ instead and put our full faith and trust in Him and what He did for us. i hope this all makes some sense to you my friend!

if Jesus was God on this earth, how could he die, as God cannot die? Jesus was totally human with flesh and blood, whilst God is a spiritual being. Jesus gave up His godliness and deity when He came to this world and was totally man. Jesus received His Godly powers when He was baptized, which He demonstrated with the miracles etc. He confirmed that His Father did the miracles and not Him, which shows us that He was totally man. If Jesus was God on this earth, satan could use this at judgement day to tell the people that Jesus was a bluff as He did not really die on the cross for mankind, as He was God. Jesus' whole purpose was to save the people from all their sin and to die for their sin. He was then raised as man and is still sitting as man, the Mediator next to God.

Only the father in heaven knows when the end time will come! God and Jesus are not of the same magnitude. Jesus never calls himself God, he acknowledges God the father in heaven and he is Lord
Ok people Jesus is fully God and a Fully man at the same time. God became man so man can become God. Yes this is a major idea we have in Eastern Orthodox Church. See our real version of creed. Basically, Jesus in his human expression, experience get anger, hunger, frustration etc..and in those very human moments, experiences reached out to the first person of the Trinity. Once He was with God after transfiguration we had access to His mediation. After Pentecost we also had access to the third incarnation of God the HS.

When Jesus was on earth he was the " son of Man". He was limited in his body as son of a man. But in existence as the spirit he is God equal with the Father. So when he is praying to the Father he is praying on the human side.
Thats why Jessus prayed to God Jehovah only John ch 17.v26 ,it said Jessus told his disciplesĺ ,what is the name of his father , in verse 3 of ch 17 jessus said his father is the only true God so what ? Why do we fool ourself.?
