Welcome to the Leftist Book Club! Our second book was Angela Davis's Women, Race, & Class. This work takes a deep dive into women's oppression in the United states from the mid 1800s to 1981 (when the book was published). The oppression is explained through a lens of critiquing the sexism, racism, and class oppression that women uniquely faced as opposed to their male counterparts as well as relating women's oppression to that of not only black male's oppression but all proletariat members' oppression under capitalism.
