I don't understand why people like h so much. He's quite plain during press conferences, he's not funny, his trash talk is basically him ranting about being the One or some BS like that, he's terrifying with his long horse-like face, oxygenated hair and slender body, and despite being crazy good he has never been dominant in his fights, being dropped or taken down by almost anyone (mainly because he refuses to learn head movement)
@@albertoamoruso7711 He's humble and has been in the fight game for a long time. Lot's of up and downs throughout his career, he's fought through some incredible adversity on his way to the belt. He proved everyone wrong who doubted him after KOing Michael Chandler for the belt. Choked out and banged with Dustin, choked out and banged with Justin. Dude's gone toe to toe with the best of the best. The fact you mention his appearance just shows you're a hater, get right
The way Charles pressures and approaches using kicks and knees kind of reminds me of Dieselnoi (he is a Muay Khao or Muay Thai specialist of knees). Dieselnoi was one of the best in the golden age and crept closer and closer so he could threaten in the clinch. Honestly I watched Tsarukian vs Makhachev and he seemed incredible and explosive. Was really competitive. I think this fight should be super exciting. Lightweight is the division I love the most and I love Charles.
@@MMAChe. okay update he sees my comments in his stream because I am SPAMMING THEM but he intentionally skips mine and reads comments before and after mine. Maybe UFC 400 will work❓
Arman is insanely talented. I think he could make a run to get a title shot and hopefully beat Islam in the rematch. Charles is awesome too. This could go either way depending on how these two approach the fight. *(Btw your training video calling out Lucas Tracy was so awesome 🤘🏻 Keep up the great work dude)
Makhachev has gotten way better especially in striking. Arman just only refined his striking, and has same wrestling with no submission and slows after r2
@@MANBOY-ew3yz He KO'd dariush in a minute on the feet, and bar that one moment against that Silva dude he was dominating. Also the Gamrot fight was an absolute robbery. He's definitely talented enough to beat Islam and Charles
@@ReyaadHendricks dariush has worst chin, any one could ko him. Arman in gamrot fight showed, he is at same level as he was in debut, especially in wrestling, with the exception of more refined striking. He could beat olivera, but his best chance beating makhachev was in first when he only used to wrestle.
@@gustavobarbosa6311 he did though...After he lose to Makhachev next 4 months they offered Charles another title shot but he refused it for mental rest or emotional stress something like that
@@shewhodoesntexist1825he fought Islam in Abu Dhabi and would have fought Islam again in Abu Dhabi at 294 if not injured. He fought Dariush in Canada. And fought gaethje, chandler and poirier in America. What the fuck are you on about 😂
Armand got pillowhands and he’s not all that good. Great for a lightweight contender but Charles and Islam both are better than him. Just got lucky with Beneil cause Charles ended beneils chin in the match before. This isn’t gonna be very competitive. People are full of recency bias lol. Do Bronx got this.
They are taking care of two things. They don't want Charles to fight Islam again due to the quick finish last time but they want Arman to fight Islam again due to how close their last fight was. Charles cuts a lot of weight too but dam Arman looks like he cuts 40lbs. I think Charles should have gotten his rematch due to the scale fiasco they pulled on him in Abu Dhabi, but this is gonna be a good fight too.
It’s not that they don’t want Charles to fight Islam again, do you not remember that Islam was going to fight Charles until he got injured and volk stepped in?
@@NoNo-bd5xm I'm thinking of it more like they gave Charles one more chance and he couldn't make it so now they are moving on. Not Charles fault he got hurt but there's been a bunch of similar situations where if you get injured the UFC just moves onto the next guy, even though you were promised the rematch. Sucks but that's how it seems to be. I think Dana already said Justin is next for Islam, but that may change if Max somehow performs a miracle and somehow beats Justin at UFC 300. IF Justin and Charles lose their next fight, which would be interesting, Arman might even skip them and be next for Islam.
Charles SKILLS are next level; but his IQ is pretty mediocre: in Charles world, there's only ONE WAY to fight: you bite down on your mouthpiece and you go hard until either you overwhelm the opponent or he overwhelms you. That requires EXCEPTIONAL skills, which, again, Charles has more than most elites. And that's why most 91% of his 34 wins are by KOs & Subs. But 90% of his 9 losses also are by KOs or by Subs. But that shows a SERIOUS LACK of IQ. Extremely fun for low IQ WWE fans who demand that kind of approach; but it is a VERY BAD approach, if you want to be champ.... long enduring champ. Given Charles exceptional skills, imagine he guy fought TACTICALLY like Leon or Islam.... conservative counter strikers who chooses SAFETY and point scoring to all other considerations, first and last.... If Charles approached MMA that way --- even if idiots call it a "stupid style" ---- ask yourself, seriously: Who is going to go swinging hard against Charles offensively?, when they know he COULD easily take their back and sub them standing?, from just ONE small mistake of over-extending or just turning side ways to Charles? And we know what happens, if they should clinch up against Charles, also is a very good wrestler himself.... a clinched up situation that is LIKELY going to the mat in the next few seconds: Charles is going to sub them down there, too! But Charles also is an actual Muay Thai elite. (He and both Islam and Leon... they all are... although, again, they all approach to fighting very differently from one another.) So, not even pure strikers have an advantage over Charles. The ONLY REASON Charles was dropped by most strikers is NOT because his striking is mediocre; rather, it is because he is TOO RECKLESS, too aggressive. He pushes relentlessly: when you do that, gues what's going to come your way, especially against elite strikers? Yeah, a punch to your mouth!, that's why they're called "striking specialists." They may not have Charles's next level BJJ and so they are usually in "retreat" when Charles goes at them, constantly; but they WILL STILL DROP Charles once or twice in a fight. And, again, THAT lack of TACTICAL approach may work well against pure strikers; but you do that against elite wrestlers who also have elite BJJ ---- may not be exactly like Charles own but if it's 95% to 98% as good as Charles BJJ ---- and especially if they HURT YOU, they WILL overwhelm you with BJJ maneuvers, when you still have cobwebs in your head. THAT's what happened in the Islam fight. IN SHORT, if Charles EVER DECIDES TO USE HIS IQ soundly, I'd pick him over Islam and all others at 155..... because standing or on the ground, he has ELITE SKILLS AND WEAPONS. But no way I'm picking him, if he sees only one way to win and that's to bite down on his mouthpiece and goes hard at an opponent at all times. When you are ALWAYS FORCING your opponent to make mistakes, to retreat... guess what happens in the process? You yourself also make mistakes!, more so than the conservative, calculating counter-strikers like Leon and Islam. One mistake at the very top, against opponents like Arman or Islam.... may be all they need to render you out of commission, because they too have the elite skills to deliver hard, counter-blow's... Again, the FACT that 91% of his (34) WINS came by way of KOs or Subs and 90% of his 9 losses also came by way of KOs and Subs... just means Charles has SERIOUS SKILLS but is VERY LACKING in the IQ department (or it could be that he has a high fighting IQ but chooses to take the MOST dangerous approach, to make fans "love" him. Sorry, you're not going to be champ for long, with that approach. But Leon and Islam, however, could be champs for a long time, due to their conservative to fighting.....)
I don’t see Tsarukan winning, Olivera has him beat in everything. He can’t knock Olivera out, we’ve seen Olivera get cracked by heavy hitters like Justin and chandler, and Olivera just recovers. Tsarukan doesn’t have power like them nor do I see him winning on the ground, Olivera is to dangerous with his submissions.
he recovers because he goes into guard and those strikers are afraid to the ground with him and pass his guard, but Arman will be similair to Islam and won't hesitate to jump in his guard
Freestyle wrestling in the cage is inferior to a jiu jitsu specialist. Arman is a near 0 submission threat, Charles will thrive is arman attempts to take his back. The Islam style sambo wrestling jiu jitsu is a lot harder in the cage. Oliveira wins for sure
Arman can win by KO, TKO, or Lay and Pray to a decision. THAT'S IT Charles can win by KO, TKO, Dec, or Sub. I'll take Charles because he's got more ways to win.
Same with Geathje and Max fight. Gaethje can win by KO or TKO. BUT Max can win by KO, TKO, or by outpointing/outstriking Justin to a decision. There's no version of this where Max gets outpoint/outstrike by Justin if it goes 5 rounds. They both have a great chin too 🤷 So Max and Oli are my fave dogs going on UFC 300.
its fight day at 9 am west coast. This will be a competitive fight. I like Tsarkuyan, he’s young and hungry and after I saw what be did to Alvarez and how hard he fought Islam, Arman will be everything but useless.
This fight is a bit of a bummer. The fight itself is super exciting, but its implications are bitter. I wanted both of them get their chance to fight Islam. Oliveira first and if he fails again then Arman. Now one of them is going to lose, and the winner has the risk of getting injured in this fight having to wait even more for a title shot. First, wasn't Oliveira vs Islam even shortly announced for the January card (and quickly removed again)¿ Then Justin vs Islam for March that also just got pulled off again. Its a shame we don't get to see Islam fighting early this year after he didn't take almost any damage in the Volk fight.
Yeah agreed. Lightweight has been stuck in this dilemma for a while where the top 5 fighters keep clearing out the division that the champ has no one to fight
@@bushidoh8316 LW was way more entertaining without islam in the mix. He is holding up the division. Blud talks about fighting leon before defending the belt against another LW
I think Armen has knockout power to some extent, but him knocking out Darius after he has just been head kicked by Charles does not speak to his power in my opinion but he can definitely knock out Charles if he gets a clean connection, Charles doesn’t have the greatest chin, but I cannot wait to see this fight play out
I agree that arman is the best pure wrestler charles has faced (offensively) & i believe he can do well on the ground with charles but him mostly relying on single & double legs makes me wonder how he’ll approach getting him down without getting guillotined
@@galaxyvulture6649 I know and a couple of his finishes managed to wake me back up. You can still have finishes and be mind numbingly boring. He’s the ankalaev of LW. Just not as good.
😂 bro tsarukyan didn't got a single freestyle td against makhachev. How is he bestwrestler. Also gamrot outwresled him. He has same wrestling level since his debut
@@TheFightHubb that was 0.1s touch with ground😂😂, doesn't deserve to be a td. And that was bcz makhachev threw high knee. That wasn't pure freestyle td
Bruh. Yall be crying about Dustin sitting on his rankings.. he agrees to fight the 12th ranked fighter whos young and upcoming, and youre still crying. Youre a goofball
All I know is Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmogomedov are the greatest fighters to ever exist. Ive seen them do things at AKA that were just mythical also they gave great head
Bro everyone gets stunned it doesn't say anything, also Charles isn't the hardest LW hitter by any means saying he hits harder then Justin is laughable. And Arman has a great chin he's never been knocked down or out in the ufc ever, can't say the same for Charles
He didn't lol, Arman has been wanting to improve his striking lately same goes for that fight. And Gamrot still only landed 28% of his Takedowns he shot for a ridiclous 21 takedowns and landed 6 which means Arman stuffed 15 of his takedowns. Also he had way more control time for how many takedowns both landed, he had like half the control time Gamrot had with ONE takedown vs Gamrots 6. And he brutally outstruck him every round it was a robbery
@@TheFightHubb idk man, I would have to watch that again, but I remember Gamrot's incredible scrambles where he moved from being On the bottom to taking Tsarukyan's back in split seconds on couple of occasions, showing levels in the ground game, but as I said I would have to watch that back if you say so.
my observation is thst arman just isnt as seasoned as charles has not fought nearly the same competition and and is also hitable. if joaquim silva is rocking you around with a left hook charles takes your head off🤷🏻♂️
When Arman & Islam fought (April 2019) Islam were 27 and Arman were 22 .. not 29 & 23 .. pls don't spread misinformation or at least research it before spitting it
dustin fighting the most dangerous contender ranked 9 spots below him is him being scared? he said he wants a fight that’s exciting. if 5 finishes benoit saint denis isn’t exciting and dangerous idk what is
so confused… i don’t even like Pourier like that, but… he takes a fight against one of the biggest up and coming light weights, but he’s scared to take risks? lolol 🤦🏻♂️
@@JrJet7172 When did he turn down Arman? It wouldn’t make sense to have Charles fight #12 when he’s coming off a win. Dustin just got KOd, I’m sure he would’ve actually preferred the Arman fight bc it’s the quickest path back to title contention. Just don’t think the thought process makes much sense, but hey i’ve been wrong before.
Also people make fun of Arman getting a bit wobbled by Silva (a very good striker wth power and a BJJ black belt as well) but forget he brutally outstruck and outgrappled him and then finished him with a ground and pound as well. And Charles has the tendancy to go into guard when he's rocked because he fights strikers that are afraid to go the ground with him but similarly to Islam (and we saw what happened then) Arman wont be afraid to jump into his guard and if Oliveira is already rocked I can see him getting another ground and pound finnish
@@TheFightHubb Without a doubt if Charles wants to win he has to avoid the floor, Davi Ramos another with tremendous bjj was also dominated by Arman on the floor. The guy is destroying every bjj black belt in the division and I think he's going to destroy the last one.
i would NOT want to be there if those horses couldn't hold any longer for some reason..but those guys look well equipped for it! and with great anticipation.
That same thing was said about Dariush as well. However, Charles managed to knock him out in the first round of the fight. The problem with Charles is that he tends to be overly aggressive, and he could benefit from being more calm and composed like Buddha.
I really doubt that. The way I saw Charles in the Beneil fight, he was aggressive as hell but he was stone cold. A terminator. even when beneil was attempting g&p, charles was calm as fuck dodging fists. I think its important to highlight Charles is way lengthier than arman. He could control Arman's hands for the first two rounds like he did beneil. I think this matchup is great for his style.
@@UploadsfortheSoul Beneil ground and pound were useless against Charles. You're right about Charles being calm in the fight. I still think Charles will be the guy who's going to take the Belt back from Islam. But the question is, can Charles maintain that calm again? Arman is not going to be easy because of his wrestling background, I would say. Let's hope for the best.
@@sagirshah_ I believe the wrestling background is going to win arman the first round of the fight but the scale will tip into charles' favor. I think because of his length even if he gets taken down he might throw some pricey elbows from bottom, discourage arman from shooting, and force the fight on the feet. and on the feet, I think charles' new bladed stance will give him more opportunities to use his fight ending right hand.
man you know absolutly nothing about how a real mma fight goes lol. your content is funny to watch but you really don't have any basis about what you say.
The thing is with Islam makhachev we haven’t seen him against any top lw to really judge him, he’s beat Olivera for the belt and that’s his only top 10 Win
Wtf i don’t think saint denis is smart fight for dustin, i even think he might be more dangerous than tsarukyan for dustin, you say that it is smart matchup just because he is ranked at 12?!
Armin is gonna walk through Charles, this is basically Oliveira vs machachev 2, Charles is afraid of wrestlers and he is going to feel that pressure and throw wild shit and get rocked again, he gets rocked every fight but it's only the grapplers in the division that would follow him down, I feel like no one learned anything from the Islam fight, Armin will follow him down and finish him. Betting the house on it
