Bad atmosphere, shitty HR bothering them all the time with bullshit, managers that treated them like invisible people earning x10 what regular dev earns bragging about how important they are, driving sports cars. I'm playing it on a brand new PC rig and I love it. I feel bad for the people who got screwed with last gen consoles, but if your machine can handle it, it's an amazing game.

@@rlbigfish a lot of missing features and bugs even after the patch (bullet holes, water physics, npcs disappearing, car disappearing after not looking at it gor a few secs, excessive police spawning everywhere, unrealistic animations, peds look generic af, cars slamming around everywhere, even the explosives doesn't do much, npcs don't even move their lips when an audio or dialogue of them is being played and etc)

The 2007 graphics truly were ahead of it’s time as well.

You have to optimize your settings on your television -- there are video tutorials on this, make sure you set it to game mode and turn down your post-production settings, sharpness, etc. Then make sure your ps4 settings are calibrated for your tv -- there should be some option under settings > devices and screens, make sure you're using full or limited (don't force a tv that can't do limited to do full or it'll look worse.) You can find tutorials for this as well. Then when you actually play cyberpunk, go to the options > graphics, turn off chromatic aberration, depth of focus, bloom and anything else you don't need, then settings > video, set it to HDR. Then hit L3 and adjust the HDR settings.

Oh, and turn off that ridiculous film grain effect. I'm working with a decent 55" 4K Sharp TV and this is about what I'm getting. It's still glitchy as hell, but it's playable and still fairly gorgeous. That said, I've never played a game with ray tracing and haven't been spoiled by a 3070.

it's fine on my gtx 1650 laptop, playing1080 with high textues and mix with low and med on everything else, but still Ifeel this game has poor performance optimizations, because in some areas the framerate REALLY drops, especially at Panam's house and Jig Jig street, and some areas I can't quite remember. it's noticeably better than the 1st day though

They were listening to their investors, who wanted the game to release after CDPR kept promising to release the game in 2020 after delay and delay and delay. If they just came out and said that the release date for the game is 2021 TBA, back when they announced the very first delay this year, then all of this could've been avoided.

They don't think and are definitely not "bros trying to be funny" like we would be. It was obv a technical error that the devs looked over despite spending a bunch of time working on this. If this was a movie then it'd make sense, but it's a video game where bugs and glitches are common.

@@thatway2000 actually every NPC in this game has a very long and detailed backstory that the game generates when it loads them in. In addition their AI is so advanced they can pass the Turing Test and identify when people are making jokes. it's the reason why this game runs so poorly, it's constantly generating Dwarf Fortress-level backgrounds for it's characters and needs a ton of resources to run what is basically human-level intelligence.

Because most of those issues are present on PC as well, especially the NPC AI pathfinding issues. The hardware is old, but the game is fundamentally broken.

Physics calculations is very heavy for the cpu. I guess for older machines like prev gen consoles they just disabled a bunch of those calculations to get a reasonable frame rate. Down side is you can now go through objects like a ghost.

Nowadays either developers are too lazy to finish it or the publishers force them to release it mid-development as they know they can patch it later. And most importantly, as gamers we've accepted this practice unwillingly which is quite shameful.

Everyone is so critical of the game but I don't think any other studio has created a new engine and game in ~6 years(development really started in 2016 so honestly not even 6 years, everything before that was pre-development). Rockstar had like 20+ years to polish their engine out so it's not exactly a perfect comparison.. and even with a perfect engine Rockstar still had trouble with RDR2. That shit took 8+ years to make and they already had a good engine AND its still broken to this day a full year after release. If Rockstar struggles that badly.. how much do you guys expect from a small polish studio?

What do you expect when the devs have PS4s PSP-esque specs to work with? they can't exactly fix an outdated console. Go look at GTA IV gameplay videos on the original xbox/ps3. A lot of the exact same "bugs". They're just slow ass 5 year old consoles bro, you can't squeeze blood from a stone.
