Did we watch the same thing? Krishna's reaction time was complete rubbish! Anyone affected like this should not leave their own home let alone drive a car. America went straight from legalizing pot to embracing it. Just because it is legal doesn't mean it is a good idea.
@BendyLilZebraBabe
@BendyLilZebraBabe Год назад
@@donm1612 But alcohol which is way worse and also more damaging to the brain and body is okay? Because that's been legal for decades in our country. And before the brief time that it was prohibited which caused nothing but crime violence and an underground it was completely legal and accepted for a millennia. So what if you have health conditions that leave you this how did you say affected? Because there are plenty of people in this world that are dealing with serious health issues and don't have family or people around to help. Sometimes people can be your friends until you need them for something truly serious. Now what about intoxication from narcotic opioid or opiate pain drugs muscle relaxers heavily sedating antidepressants or antipsychotics heavily sedating antiemetic medicine heavily sedated blood pressure medicine and this is all taken at the same time folks. I have multiple complex deteriorative health conditions. Most are incurable a couple are untreatable as well. This is the plan of attack for just the pain and nausea before they all came to a consensus that it wasn't helping it was possibly going to kill me faster than I conditions and decide effects for innumerable. And those are just the medications I had to take for pain and nausea not even talk about the other medications I had to take for other symptoms and then the medications I had to take for the side effects for some of the medications. That's how I was originally prescribed cannabis for medicine. One doctor decided that it would most likely help with the nausea and some of the other side effects of the medications I were taking. When a few of my doctors conferred and went over all of my medications they understood that cannabis alone would allow me to get off of every one of the medications I named above. While also providing better symptom relief for those things then the pills did. So yes I unfortunately do have to medicate sometimes and be on the road. But that is mostly because people around me do not understand the severity of my illnesses being invisible illnesses. And they do not understand the complexity and severity of my medication situation. So finding people willing to Drive Miss Daisy as it were are not always easy to come by. As one commenter said would you rather have us who take cannabis as medication be on the road or out in public at all while in excruciating pain and dealing with intractable nausea and vomiting? Because I can assure you this makes for very unpleasant situations for everyone involved often. As having to deal with pain nausea and vomiting along with other health issues while still also trying to keep a smile on your face for people who don't understand it gets to a Breaking Point! Or would you rather us be on all of the multiple different types of medications are named above and be way more incapacitated then ever have any one of us! As well as the fact is those combinations in themselves can be dangerous and more deadly. But think about this house doctors and people would rather see a person or rather since they don't get to see the person take a bunch of pills that is damaging their health damaging their body is dangerous for them to be on the road as much as any other medication if not more and also changing the person's personality nature and character more than even the health issues are! And I assure you the health issues are! I've had people tell me that because I'm sick I need to just stay at home stay in my bed and species sick and don't try to get out among healthy people because I just get in the way. And this is no medications this is just because I am sick I'm in pain I'm nauseous! No I think the way people like you and the person who told me that I think that is more of a problem with Americans then them accepting a herb that has medicinal purposes. But then also a big problem is a bunch of Americans who will accept man-made chemical substances that they would tell you themselves comes with dangers for taking them that all have some type of natural origin if not inspiration. 💁🏾‍♀️ But don't you touch that devil's lettuce now... 🤦🏾‍♀️ No humans lack of control and ability to understand much in this world outside of their own personal frame of reference is the real problem here! Lack of control it does not matter the substance there is going to be a problem. 🤷🏾‍♀️

And merging onto the highway was, well, successful. I recall impulsively jerking the steering wheel a few times as well. I smoke pretty much everyday, when I’m not smoking I drive like crazy and sometimes I take completely unnecessary risks but man when I’m high it’s a complete different story, I never get over speed limit, I make every pedestrian cross on the lines, I don’t honk or curse if someone is going slow and I’m 100% focused on the road like it’s the most important thing in my life in that moment

Distracted driving is a big problem in general. DUI is terrible don’t get me wrong, but orders of magnitude more people drive while on their cellphones. When I was a truck driver the bed of my truck is a higher than most car, I could see into people laps. Easily a quarter of the cars on the road had people messing around with their phones. That was a decade ago. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s worse now.

Maybe an unpopular opinion - IDK, but I feel that weed helps me perform tasks better than I can do sober. I’ve tracked results for the last 3 years with my training in the gym, and time and time again I am able to train for longer, get an extra 1-2 reps in, and even improve my form with the focus it gives me. The same applies for my track riding (motorcycles) - as crazy as it sounds I’ve been able to consistently put down faster and faster lap times, than I’ve ever been capeable of sober. It effects everyone differently, but I feel I could run this test w/ near perfect results 😂

@Medicalguy Год назад
Sleep deprivation and alcohol if I recall are about the same level of risk. Pot definitely doesn't fall too far away. Some people can drive great with it, some people can't. It's because of that discrepancy in response That it shouldn't be legal. Just like how some people drive drunk and can handle it and many can't. Personally I don't smoke pot, but the few times that I tried made me feel like I would not be able to properly drive for sure
@BendyLilZebraBabe
@BendyLilZebraBabe Год назад
@@Medicalguy yes you were right that sleep deprivation end drunk-driving were fairly similar risks. And that is because the symptom expression is similar. As for the cannabis Smokey not falling far behind you state the very problem with that alone different people react differently to different chemicals. And cannabis is an extremely dicey beast when it comes to that. It's not only not easy to gauge how different people will react how did people react to different strains different cultures and even different crops out of the same grow can have different reactions not only one different people but on the same person depending on what else is in their system what else is going on with them Etc. As for this zero-tolerance that some people especially those who do not utilize cannabis on a regular basis seem to want to take. It completely ignores the fact that even with alcohol there is no Zero Tolerance. There is a legal limit that is set. And it doesn't matter if the person is completely indeed rated if they blow under that legal limit they will be let off and judge as fine even if they roll down the street and hit a kid! And could well legally get off because they were not legally drunk. So then it's not intoxicated driving with vehicular manslaughter... think about that. But the person who could be completely fine after having a couple of shots if they were stopped by cop they're getting detained. It's fine if you think there should be no tolerance zero tolerance for any type of incapacitating substances. But then that has to be uniform across the board. And what is incapacitating for one person may not be incapacitated for another person that is why rules like this gets so controversial. Just like someone can smoke a cigarette for the first time a cigar for the first time as a first-time smokers going to both wrong. And that one hit could have them so dizzy and so mentally fatigued that they should not be driving. But you couldn't tell them that. And there was no rule all that would stop them from being able to anyway. And nicotine does affect you mentally. It may not be psychoactive but it does affect. And the list of different things that people take as mundane that are drugs that do effect that do in some ways hinder a person's ability and capacity. Think caffeine and sugar and what they can do to a person too much not enough Etc. What about people who take prescription pain narcotics? These people are being affected by opioids or opiates. And if you think that the mental state that cannabis puts you in is worse than the one that say Oxycontin Percocet so that's not even going to the extreme of something like say morphine then I have a Ridge at like to sell you. And there really is no law against driving or operating any kind of heavy machinery Machinery tall why don't want those types of medications because it's accepted that they cannot discriminate against people who had to take pain medications. Of course unless your pain medication is a plant but that's beside the point. Now people on narcotics of any kind are on the road all the time in all levels and states of mental capacity for which you have absolutely no idea and neither does the cop driving next to them. And wouldn't know unless something happens. Unless they start driving erratically. Unless they drive weirdly or give some type of indication that they are on something. Well the same is happening with cannabis! And has been for decades. Probably even since cars were invented people were driving and smoking cannabis and then it was accepted as a quite legitimate medication.
@BendyLilZebraBabe
@BendyLilZebraBabe Год назад
@@Medicalguy And let's not get started on alcohol which is way worse and also more damaging to the brain and body. Also what if you have health conditions that leave you this how did you say affected? If you think there has to be many more people like you who can't drive after having smoked one joint. You have to know that there are plenty of people in this world that are too poor to afford Uber and don't have family or friends in their lives like that. But that does not stop sickness and disease from deteriorating their health and their life. I've had people tell me that because I'm sick I need to just stay at home stay in my bed and species sick and don't try to get out among healthy people because I just get in the way. And this is no medications this is just because I am sick I'm in pain I'm nauseous! No the person who told me that I think is more of a problem then them accepting a herb that has medicinal purposes. But then also a big problem is a bunch of Americans who will accept man-made chemical substances that they are told by the med producers that they come with dangers for taking them. Though all these pills have some type of natural origin if not inspiration... But this plant they're like don't you touch the devil's lettuce now... 🤦🏾‍♀️ No humans lack of control and ability to understand much in this world outside of their own personal frame of reference is also the real problem here! With lack of control it does not matter the substance there is going to be a problem. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Not recommending anyone do this, but I was a regular smoker and I drive high all of the time. The worst part about being high on the road is two other factors: Cops and everyone else. I never felt safe around cops, regardless and other people probably aren't high. The accidents I got into when driving had little to nothing to do with me being high. As a matter of fact, my car was destroyed and it was really traumatic for me it what happened was(and I was high) I was driving in the winter. I would take like this 20 minutes or so drive to a dispensary and even though weed for the most part is legal in my state, I liked taking that trip. I'd pop in Bone Thugs or the Grateful Dead and hit the road. You'd see beautiful lakes and mountains on the way. I was going the speed limit, and arguably under because of the weather, and my breaks wouldn't work and I hit the tail end of a semi. One of the scariest moments of my life. Luckily the only thing that happened was I hit a bank and totalled my car. I was paying attention to the road, as I always did but the roads were icy and the breaks didn't work. That has nothing to do with my being high, in fact you can actually blame my abusive parents and/or the dispensary not being in town because if it was closer it may not have happened and if my parents weren't abusive and if I was receiving treatment(trauma, therapy, Bipolar disorder, etc...) I never would have felt the urge to leave in the first place. As a matter of fact, if I had loving parents I may not have even needed weed at all but weed of all things helped, a lot. I'll tell you another thing, besides the fear of cops, the second worse part about being high is abusive people in your life. Then of course there's the social stigma, I'd go out in public after getting high and I might have smelled but I was able to enjoy life easier and actually found pleasure in things, and as someone who has struggled with Bipolar disorder their whole life and child abuse, it's not easy to achieve that feeling. The dangers of being high that I've experienced for the most part were external factors(ice on the road), and other people. Not to say all other people. I had a buddy who was always high like me and we got along like chocolate and peanut butter together. However, there was a time where I did dabs in the car, in a part of town I'd never been with, with someone I never hung out with before and I was freaking out. Was it the high amount THC, probably but probably not, was it the person I was with probably, was it being lost in a place I had never been to probably. I don't know if you could necessarily blame the weed for that one because I've been high on dabs and drove before, but the amount and everything else going on was a nightmare. Bottom line is this, your biggest enemy while being high in general, is usually other people. If you're with people you trust, in a safe environment(home, a lived one's place, walking around the mall, a retro video game store, etc) then you're Acapulco Golden, but if you're on the road you need to be attentive and NEVER drive(in general, if you can help it) when the roads are bad and if there are cops around or people you don't know/trust in the car with you. I have some... intense weed stories. One involving a weed mask that would make snoop dogg blush. Tl;dr other people, other drivers, cops, and external factors(icy roads for example) make driving high unsafe. But weed alone is your friend, and will always be your friend. Cops, strangers, other drivers, abusive people in your life are not always your friend. So, if you're high just stay home and have fun, it's not that YOU are the risk, YOU are just the one at risk of other people. Plus, it's a waste of good weed to be driving for the most part because driving is stressful. Order pizza, walk down to the gas station, go walk around places and not drive. That's my advice.

A lot of people are saying things like “it makes them less anxious” or “they think about their impairment more” or whatever. Maybe you can operate a vehicle fine, but what about those situations where a deer jumps out, or you go around a blind corner and there’s a truck parked on the side of the road. Not to mention people who could just stop paying attention. In places where it was legalized, accidents linked to cannabis increased. Just because you think you’re fine doesn’t mean you are, and just because a video of a planned course where everyone knows what’s happening makes it look fine, doesn’t mean it is. Don’t be stupid for the sake of proving a point.
@jacobmark4550

Stoned is all a state of mind where you can become easily distracted and nervous. However, I would argue that this can all be controlled. I used to drive stoned with my sports car all the time. Some people can do it some people can not I would compare it to driving while tired. Tolerance and the amount of stoned you feel also has a very big factor. No one should drive on absolute ton of eddibles or weed especially with little experience. But if you smoke all day and do everything else ok I can’t see the harm. I am familiar with a racing heartbeat because you are stoned or you are nervous from a traffic stop pretty stupid technique. Interesting topic I wish it was more in depth. Thanks vice:-)
