www.BedrosKeuil... presents: How Discipline Kills Your False Identity
Back in August, Bedros and Craig get together again for an episode of The Empire Show, where they dive into the buzzword floating around “DISCIPLINE”..
What does it actually mean?
Where do I start?
What does discipline look like?
Does it really work?
Bedros shares for the first time some aspects of The MDK Project, to help men step into their best selves, and Craig chimes in back and forth to go over your true identity, clarity on your goals, and the discipline it takes to make your goals a reality.
00:30 - Does discipline equal freedom?
02:59 - Why your IDENTITY is the first step to improving Discipline
06:13 - Craig and Bedros explain why you need CLARITY to define your path in life
13:29 - Some exercises we can do to become better versions of ourselves
18:55 - How do physical challenges expose our false identities in ourselves?
24:50 - Why we need accountability to fulfill our goals when discipline is gone

I sure didn’t like the discipline at the time but I am grateful because it helped shape me to the man I am today. Discipline is missing in this day and age

I learned discipline from the age of 4, my mom (may she rest in peace) took me to work with her at that age and I grew up working, until the age of 10 when I began to speak Spanish I began to learn other skills with the numbers and everything was very easy for me, at school everything was boring because I learned it with my mother... I spent my whole life training and learning with my mother, until I decided to fly alone and went to study in the best universities, I traveled, I studied, I worked in the USA... today at 34 years old I have managed to obtain 4 degrees and I am a doctor of science, I speak 4 languages, I have 2 own businesses and work for an American company (my goal is to grow my own business, i have never seen myself working for other people... but i need the money to achieve my goals) but the most important thing is I live in my beautiful country (Mexico City)... My friends are scared of how disciplined I am and for me it's normal because I grew up being disciplined.

That reframing was also used in the early 90s for dyslexia and special education. Their super power that no other kid in their class had is the ability to read a book upside-down and backwards. Mentality is REALITY

Give a more useful example, readinga book upside down is not a super power. It just makes it harder for everybody because you have to adapt to a small group
@swillsie
@swillsie 2 года назад
@@jangolub8240 It's not for adjusting to the small group. Books are printed the same for everyone. For a dyslexic to make sense of a book that to them is upside down and backwards is a "super power" says that they have figured out a way to fit in to the larger society and to "make it work." Seeing one's circumstance or situation as the reason why they could or couldn't is the ultimate underlying belief that thoughts impact behavior.

such a great story man! I did an autobiography in prison in an intense program that has a 99.8 percent prisoner will not return rate and after the autobiography the therapist makes you read in in front of all the hard core criminals im talking about hardcore killers and it was nuts ive seen the hardest men in the world break down and cry during reading their auto including me! It was such a relief! It really helped change my life! Im glad you have something similiar in your 75! I spent 10 years in prison came home abused drugs again then woke up one day and started watching youtube videos on how to change my life! 6 years clean and 2 businesses built working on a third! Keep up your awesome content! I love how vulnerable you are more men need to know its ok being vulnerable its not a weakness its the ultimate way to gain strength when you can put all your hurt out there and let it all out its amazing how confident i became and anyone else can as well! Love it bedros keep the kick ass content super rad brother much love and respect

Bedros, you have a wonderful way with words.. you've said you've done challenges on guitar with your son, would love to hear your playing. I play guitar myself, and am a trainer, and feel I'm very close on the same path as yourself, helping people beyond all else How many people are truly moved by a video (informational especially, such as this) to where they even like , or speak to their own clients on matters well explained, such as this? And Craig, you're quite well spoken in all points that you make, they are very easily impacted by all

ty 4 the deep dive fella's. Toxic cognition exercise. Part 1. Write down the worst thing that ever happened to you. 2. And that has put this false identity on me where i feel i need to do this - . e.g. i gamble, drink, drug, break promises, don't follow through on businesses, ideas, i self sabotage them easily....Part 2. What are ur superpowers? From bad things can come good. So my new identity is - I'm a weapon for good. Faith. Family. Fitness. Finance. ty 4 vid

Clarity, intentionality, frame. What do you want, really what is it that you want? Guys that say I have no discipline to learn that skill. I know you would figure it out if it was porn or PlayStation, it’s not a lack of discipline, it’s a lack of Clarity, deciding what you want looks like, intentionality making sure actions align with the purpose. Frame, how do you see the world.
