Thank you for this useful video. Im currently an LVN, working under the Home Health Branch with Sutter Health and we do use EPIC. I was hoping to become a Sutter Epic EHR Analyst but I have wasn't sure what degree I will need to get me closer to my goal. I was thinking of getting an AS in Information Technology, or Health Information Technology first. My main question is... What Bachelors degree should go for that would help me the most?

Do you have suggested Training for Epic? or do you have where I can do self-learning that will help me get a job.

You can only get trained through a hospital that uses Epic.

Can just about anyone get a userweb account or do you have to be a medical professional and does the userweb account give you access to the different Epic modules to get hands-on experience using the system?

I have only seen people get one if they work for a hospital that uses Epic.

Hi there, Do you know if there's a difference between the self study profiency certification vs. going to EPIC Wisconsin and taking a class and test for certification? I just received access through my organization to EPIC's self study profiency guide and will be taking the test w a proctor when ready but wanted to know if there was a difference between the two tests certifications? Thank you

@JoAnnWren They are the same exam but seen differently. Self-Study usually is all virtual. Certification typically requires an in person component for attending class.

@YourEpicCoach Thank you for the quick response. When you say seen differently, do you mean that getting a role for let's say Radiant application analyst/associate wouldn't be possible unless I receive the in person component certification? Or is it totally up to the organization? I currently have EPIC Radiant user-end experience and help troubleshoot some problems within the Radiology department and just requested access for t to Radiant's self-study guide as my organization doesn't normally sponsor anyone as often for EPIC's class-led certification in Wisconsin. So, I'm trying to at least get some application-end knowledge with this certificate and hoping to receive better opportunities at landing a role down the road for another organization. I'm also taking the Google data analytics course to learn the fundamental skills in the industry. I thank you in advance for any feedback that could help my long-term career goal for growth within the industry.

@@JoAnnWren It is up to the organization. It is not a prerequisite to become an Epic Analyst. Some hospitals may want a completely new, aka 'green' team with no epic experience as an analyst but you have good clinical experience, again though, up to them. Make connections with managers and analysts on LinkedIn.

Hi.. I’m not able to see training modules under training home. Can you please tell me how do I get access to it. I work in a hospital which has Epic. And I was able to login into user web and go till training home.

It may be your type of userweb access, I would start by submitting a ticket to your helpdesk.
