I'm a One God Christian. I believe God is ONE! I've been baptized in water, in Jesus Name for the remission of our sins, and I've recently come to follow the feasts and it is such a blessing! And I do not hold to the pagan Easter tradition, nor Christmas. It all stems to paganism and I avoid it. Shabbat Shalom!

This still didn’t answer the question... after a few years of study, i _get_ what First Fruits _is,_ but I still don’t know what to do to _celebrate_ it. I don’t want our celebration to look anything like Easter!!
He said to observe that day and give thanks for the resurrection. It was possible in the past to wave barley at the temple, but the temple doesn't exist now.
Remember that He is the First Fruit of the Resurrection and we will be resurrected too on his 2nd Coming, this should be a joyfull celebration of our future salvation. Stay focus on doing what he taught so that you will be found as one of the wise virgins in the end. Shalom!!!

Best/most fascinating part of the video: "The Jews used to give thanks for the newness/resurrection of life" in the barley seeds that had 'died' and were resurrected in the sheaf. Do we have a record of this blessing? Has it continued in any way in Talmudic Judaism so that we can see it? I would imagine it would be something like, "Blessed are You, O LORD, our God, King of the Universe, who brings newness of life to the earth" or something like that. I'd love to hear that.
I realize this is an old video but aren’t we commanded to make an offering by fire and fast that day until the offering is made? There are some who follow Leviticus strictly and wherever they are. We are being called by the Spirit to keep Torah but we lack pastors who can and will guide us. I understand that Yeshua is the final Pesac lamb, but if we have the means are we not also to still slaughter a lamb of its first year and paint our doorways with his blood? Are we not to roast lamb over fire? So should we also make a fire and offer the cakes of 2/10ths of an ephah each which I think means 4 liters of flour, by fire for a sweet smell unto the Lord? We need solid guidance without riddles and without open questions. I had to make do with lamb chops this year. Next Pesac I will have a lamb separated by the 10th day of Nissan and hopefully I will have found guidance and brethren.
My understanding is that when they waved the barley sheaves, the priest would declare that much more was to follow. In other words, this is the first fruit of the barley harvest, and, by faith, we believe that a great harvest will follow. Jesus, the First Fruit of the resurrection, is shown on that Sunday morning, and because He rose again, by faith, all who are in Christ will be resurrected also, for they are the great harvest to come.
And after the first thousand years of Yeshua's reign, the Second Resurrection will take place, and so all who have lived and died (except the beast and the false prophet) not called to be firstfruits, will become the second fruits, and the Biggest and Happiest Family Reunion Ever will take place, and they will live their lives before the White Throne of Yehovah, as we firstfruits do today. I Kepha/Peter 4: 17. YehezqEl/Ezekiel 37. Revelation 20: 5A, a parenthitcal statement - (And the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished). Revelation 20: 11 - 12.
Who cares when "Easter" is? "Easter" is not a Christian Holy Day, it was a pagan Holy Day. Passover is what Yeshua told us to do in memory of Him, and First Fruits, His Resurrection! The Church was hijacked by pagans who began teaching pagan doctrines mixed in with Christianity, also got rid of the true feast days and made up their own dates in an attempt to get rid of the Jewish roots! A horrible thing to do to those who truly believe, and especially to the Jewish believers of that time! Can you imagine! Gentiles "take over" and make laws that it's suddenly illegal to observe Sabbath, or the Jewish festivals etc. Just so disturbing! And that wasn't the end of it! The church is largely UNAWARE of the dietary laws still applying to us, Sabbath still applies to us, and really all the cleanness laws etc! It's sad that when the Reformation took place, we still did not have the entire understanding restored to us. Thank God for Messianic believers in Judaism both for their own salvation, and for help in restoring followers of Yeshua to the TRUTHS that we have missed for so long!

I need so much help. I watched the new moon on the first of the month. Counted 14 days which took me to a Friday evening which was April 15,2022. I then observed unleavened bread that was the following evening (Saturday evening). The sabbath was over so how do I go to the Sunday for first fruits? Sabbath runs Friday eve to Saturday eve. This year 2022 that was unleavened bread. Counting the days of Nisan. (Abib) thx for any direction.
NOTE: the TORAH says the 14th / PASSOVER ( always Wed.) , the 15th / THE DAY OF UNLEAVENED BREAD ( always Thur. )....then, the First Day of the Week, FIRST FRUITS / DAY OF RESURRECTION. Amen and Amen. Do not be deceived by the teachings of the CABAL, the Religious Sect. This same Religious Sect, our JEWISH MESSIAH JESUS " CONTENTED " with. THINK ON THESE THINGS.
Kind of hard to celebrate the feast of first fruits when there isn't even a teal consensus on what date it even occurs. If you google when it is 2024, you get either the 24th or 28th of April. For a non Jew,this is rather confusing.
It’s amazing!! We left Christianity back in 2018 and stopped celebrating Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, etc and started celebrating the Biblical Feast. We and our children absolutely LOVE it🙌🏾
Firstfruits would then be the next day, which would also be Unleavened Bread, I believe, according to Moses. I believe the most invariable day is First Fruits, which must always be a Sunday. Passover, a High Sabbath, can fall on any day of the week. Unleavened Bread is the day following Passover, so again, any day of the week. Then First Fruits, which is always the Sunday following Passover. If Passover is on Sunday, First Fruits must be the following Sunday.
Leviticus 23:10-14 v 11, day after the sabbath, which is always on Sunday. Messaiah resurrected sometime before morning and appeared to disciples. "like a theif in the night"
The Aramaic Targums, the Syraic Peshitta, and the Greek LXX, all older than Messiah's first coming and the Dead Sea Scrolls, ALL say Firstfruits, is the 16th of Nissan. All these were translated from the Hebrew Text that existed in their day! The verse about firstfruits was changed to 'after the Sabbath' when the Masoretic text was produced, over 1000 years later.That's about when the Pharisees and Sadduccees began debating over this subject. The Hebrew bible of today is derived from the MT Masoretic Text, as well as the protestant KJV. Messiah made two different comments to the Pharisees and to the Sadduccees. Messiah flatly told the Sadduccees, that they knew not the scriptures, they were the infidels of His time. The Pharisees however, He called Hypocrites, for they knew the Law but didn't follow it! They instead added and took away from it! Messiah said to His talmidm "the Pharisees sit in Moses seat, do what they say, but do not do what they do!" I've researched this subject for a long time, Firstfruits is on the 16th of Aviv. Shalum!
I think you are missing some verses in the Tanakh. Moses specifically tells them to count the 7 sabbaths, and that it is the morning after the last one of those. Messiah's first coming doesn't have anything to do with when it is celebrated. It is celebrated according to the writings of Moses when he first gave those commands to the people. Sorry, I know your comment was 2 yrs ago, but I felt it should still get a response.
I think we are in agreement, but let me clarify. The sheaves were brought to the priest on the 15th, the Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Then, in my understanding, the priest waved that offering on the day after the Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the 16th, not on the day after the weekly 7th day Sabbath. Omer Day 1 was observed on the 16th, the day the omer was waved by the priest. So was it really the day the omer was waved that was considered the Feast of First Fruits and not the day the sheaves were given to the priest?
I was hoping to understand how to monetary, give my first fruit offering. My church takes up a first fruit offering and I’m not sure how to calculate that. Is it a 10th of yearly income or what? Sounds like from this video, you don’t give a offering??.
Christ Jesus never asked his followers to give him anything or to take up a collection instead He gave them something to eat. And gave them food from heaven. I would like to see all pastors do the same as their master.
Lion and Lamb Ministries I heard a teaching that 1st fruits is 7 sabbaths after passover. But 7 sabbaths after passover would be Pentecost/Shavuot correct? So when does 1st fruit land, after Passover or after feast of unleavened bread??
Lion and Lamb Ministries thanks beloved. I see it in scripture as well. I don’t know how they teach Pentecost as being first fruit. They say because it was the giving of the first fruit of the spirit. But that would be calling a day something it’s not and switching dates around.

Dead Sea Scrolls Essene calendar shows Feast of First Fruits on day 26 of Aviv and first Sabbath of Aviv 3 days after new moon then kept every 7 days for rest of the year. In 2019 the Sabbath falls on sunset Monday till sunset Tuesday
Sabbath is literally every 7th day, and they all begin at sundown. I am not sure what that has to do with the Feast of First Fruits except for the counting of 7 sabbaths after... I think it was passover. "The Feast of Weeks is a spring harvest festival following Passover. It begins with the waving of a single sheaf of the FirstFruits on the day after the Sabbath. Then seven weeks are counted leading up to the culmination on the 50th day, the day after the 7th Sabbath. "You shall count seven weeks for yourself; begin to count the seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the grain." So the counting of the Sabbaths (Shabbats) is literally from the time they start harvesting the first ripe grain, not from the new moon.
