Hey mate, quick question. Which rto did you choose to do your theory through? I’m going to do my apprenticeship with MEGT, but they’re asking which rto I wanna go through. I’ve heard good things about TAFE & blue dog. I hear tafe will teach you everything thoroughly & properly. I’ve also heard blue dog are great for not needing to leave work as it’s all done online (have also heard you can get signed off faster if you complete theory quicker. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou
Hey bro i've got a question for you. I'm planning to move to Ozzy with my nz passport and get into the building industry (carpentry) I'm a bit confused about the apprenticeship because it seems like there are a lot of different options, I'm wondering if can I work 5 days a week (full time) and do night classes and study at home from some PDF document, or do I have to come on to a warehouse and get some of my skills there. This might be a difficult question to answer as a comment could you make a video how you managed the paperwork behind starting an apprenticeship
Hi mate, Thanks for the comment. Basically, the paperwork side of things is looked after as part of the apprenticeship. I didn't really do anything beforehand. What are you trying to achieve at the end of the day? Were you keen on an Apprenticeship? What area you thinking of moving to?
@@midlifecarpentry What are you trying to achieve at the end of the day?- I'm just trying to gather as much info as I can before moving there about how apprenticeships work there. What area you thinking of moving to?- At the start Brisbane and then later, when I'm making $35h move to Gold Coast Were you keen on an Apprenticeship?- I enjoy seeing the progress on the job site and its way better than studying in uni. In general, it's just more interesting. Question. What companies provide apprenticeships, What hourly wage can I expect to get paid as a 20-year-old 1st year apprentice.
Hi mate, Sounds like you have a plan. Regarding companies that do apprenticeships it all varies. Jump on google to find Aussie employment pages to see what's open in areas you want to work. Pay rate wise though might be around the $18 to $20 an hour. But it does all depend on the minimum wage and employer. Hope that helps mate.
