i have a suggestion for the next monster. have 5 turns to summon Sophia the goddess of rebirth involving banishing a ritual, synchro, xyz, and fusion monster from the field to summon. i want to see this be done. if anyone can do it, it's calvin

This should be a summon the monster in 2 out of 3 duels. And especially considering hard to summon cards that take multiple turns to bring out the turn limit should not be used. During the cyber strike structure deck tourney we had a small side bet going on to see who would be the first to summon the cyberdark end dragon.

There's only one semi-reliable way to even use it. Cocoon of Ultra Evolution.

I love my insect deck cuz Parasite Paranoid and Coccoon of Ultra Evolution make it possible to pull out like 2 boss monsters while taking out one of the opponent's. That is probably my favorite deck and I was completely hype for Beetroopers when they dropped

Spirit of the Pharaoh would be awesome to see, it is my favorite card even though its summoning condition is possibly one if not the worst in the game.

I won't lie, I was sitting here waiting for Calvin to realize the parasite and ultra evolution cards. Though, I will say, I am a bit happy he tried something else.

How about a summoning challenge where both players need to summon their respective themed/gimmick monster and the first one to do it wins. 😂

I would recommend exodia necross as a summon challenge. Having all pieces is challenging enough, but the stages to summon necross require timing and precision.

Venominaga or spirit of the pharaoh could be fun. They probably won't be too tough to bring out against a structure deck, assuming you can get the traps into your hand somehow.

I love this series! And the moth cards too! They are part of the childhood of a lot of duelists here in Brazil because in the dub of the anime, the studio messed up "moth" with "mouth"... so Weevil keeps saying that he will summon "his big mouth" all the time 🤣🤣 Awesome video, guys!

Maybe a little cocky but Calvin has my respect for attempting to summon it using its own summon condition and not with Cocoon of Ultra Evolution or some other cheese card.

Even if Cocoon of ultra evolution would have made this easier, it wasn't outright banned, at least nowhere I could see in the video, so I don't see why Calvin didn't use it. Would have been child's play.

Calvin definitely needed Cocoon of Ultra Evolution.

This was brutal. This has to be the most impossible of all the challenges thus far. Why didn't he play against an older school deck instead of the OP XYZ stuff XD. Still entertaining regardless though, keep up on the content!

That opening from the anime just reminds me how easily the characters could’ve gotten out of difficult situations if they just played something like Raigeki or MST. There are cards like Exodia that are bad because of the ban list making the strategies you’d want to use for them unplayable, then you have cards like Great Moth that are just dead on arrival. Cocoon of Ultra Evolution helps a lot, but it also says a lot when a card needs support that was released later to even become viable.

Would love more of this series. Maybe you could allow more turns to complete the task but Alec isn't allowed to know what the deck boss is and if he guesses it then you lose a few turns.

Just started Lets playing Legagy of the Duelist and Weevil summoned Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth with a Cocoon of Ultra Evolution ignoring the Petit Moth condition.

My first instinct woulda been an Inzektor build with a way to get to Cocoon of Ultra Evolution. Set that up and boom, P.U.G.M. in possibly less than 5 turns.

The card puns in that ad spot have my face frozen in a permanent cringe. I have to go to work like this now.

Not to be a stickler for details, but Paul said that PUGM was used in Duelist Kingdom. I'm probably wrong (and please correct me if I am!), Weevil uses PUGM in Battle City during his duel against Joey. Weevil uses Great Moth in Duelist Kingdom against Yugi. Again, not to be a stickler about small stuff like that but if anyone was curious, there you go! Great video, guys! Definitely made the work day much easier to get by! ♥️ PS: PUGM is harder to summon in Duel Links than it is in a real duel. (Please correct me if I am wrong, again!)

Timaeus the Knight of Destiny would seem like 1 hell of a fun thing to see happen

Before the toon deck released, perfectly ultimate great moth was the backbone of my deck. I used a lot cards with high defense and magic/trap cards that prevented my opponents from attacking me or they boosted my cards defense. Once I had it summoned, it was unbeatable in a head to head battle. By the way, I like the shirt but Joey beat Marik fair and square, he was the best natural duelist in the entire anime.

Yeah I had that structure deck too :D Clavin didn't have nearly enough powerful defense cards. Some mirror forces would of gone a long way. His shirt is awesome though

only 4 minutes in and I get the distinct feeling you guys couldn't find a Cocoon of Ultra Evolution. That card trivializes this challenge.

Another good duel challenge would be trying to win with Aitsu and all its support.

Id like to see a duel where the challenge is to win with Sparks or some crappy burn card, or inflict lethal damage with a vanilla 0 original atk monster.

Ooo, here's a great challenge for Calvin, try to achieve either the F.A. or Spiral win conditions. Preferably the Spiral one as that seems more fun

Before the XYZ Dinosaur was summoned he had Cocoon of Evoltuion in his hand and could of easily equipped it to Petit Moth when it was originally summoned and left in defense mode at least for a couple turns before he summoned Utopia.

I like the idea of using an instant win condition, like Gimmick Puppet Leo.

Just play until Calvin hits 0 life points. Don’t put a turn limit on it. The cards y’all want him to try to summon were hard to bring out back when they were released. It’s infinitely harder with modern Yugioh.

I was thinking this would be an easy challenge especially since there was no rule that Ultimately had to be summoned by it's own effect and there is a card that can easily make this work, but then as the deck was being built I came to the realization that nobody remembered Cocoon of Ultra Evolution, but glad to hear that wasn't the case and Calvin was trying to rough it by doing the six turns. For the next Challenge I say Mirage Knight or Zushin the Sleeping Giant would be fun to see.

I used to make decks to outlast, max number of cards in it, defense high creatures...then I decided to mix it up. I went with minimum amount of cards, the monsters were mainly effect ones, and the traps and spells were an even 10 to 10 mix. I used effects more and found I didn't win by default as much, and I dis actually lose more than the other deck style, but I had fun more often
