I find building a frame around the edge adds too much weight to the gate. I try and keep it as light as possible. I use 3 strips of wood at the top, middle and bottom and two diagonal braces around 30 degrees. So the gates the same as yours but without two side pieces.

This van not setup for sheet material We have another van if we need to collect material, 90 percent of the time we get it delivered to site 🙌
