That tiny key hole is for if your key battery dies! Happened to me in my Cadillac and I was able to put the key there in order to start my vehicle. Luckily I found it in the user manual!
Great that you noticed the dash color! I was shocked to see a beige dash color because most colors lighter than dark gray can reflect sun back in to the windshield, which can reduce visibility
As others have said, you don't see beige dash tops because they reflect the surface of the dashes glare up into the windshield - other GM vehicles have done the same thing lately, too . . . and that "key shaped" indentation at the bottom of the console compartment is the place you put your key if the battery in it is dead - if placed there, the vehicle can still be started. As a "senior citizen", I LOVE the simplicity of the gauge area and the smaller size of the center screen to keep it from glaring back at you at night time ( the bright light coming from those large screens, will constrict your pupils which makes it harder to see things while driving )
Got my 2022 Palisade because of you. I stay because your personality is awesome 😊 Very happy with my purchase and very confident with it because your videos are so informative!
Shopping for my wife and she loves your videos! First time i've been able to get her interested in car buying. I think this video is currently missing from your 3-row SUV playlist, almost missed it but happy to have found it
I have the AWD sport XT6 and I wanted an Escalade, but a few friends have had SO many issues with their new Escalades! Happy I went this route for now, and maybe an Escalade when this lease is up!
Liz, you need to Google color correction or "lut" and learn how to apply a consistent white balance and spectrum between takes and movement. That way there isn't a bluish hue shift like you see at 1:57. Great video!
I have a 2020 XT6 with a lease coming up and glad to see your thoughts, I tend to agree on some of the disappointing interior bits like the small center screen, partial digital display, etc. It does desperately need a mid cycle refresh to get the dash experience from the Lyriq if they want it to be competitive because otherwise, there's really nothing differentiating this anymore.
A lot of people like me don't like the gigantic touch screen look. If we wanted that we'd buy a Tesla. After all it's a car not a glorified cell phone with wheels (again, like a Tesla). I think this strikes a nice balance.
Preferred your old method of cinematography. You're looking really sharp and in the foreground, but the vehicle just seems to sink in to the background and get fuzzy. Though there are moments where this does not occur, particularly when there is no sun to content with. Perhaps the sun is the issue and this happened to be filmed at the worst slice of time.
REAR SEAT BUTTONS: are located SO FAR INSIDE the cargo area you have to brush up to the bumper just to be able to reach them, AND like you said they make you HOLD them down the whole time. Also the cup holders are too small to use, RADIO VOLUME dial BUTTON is way too small, Climate Control should go back to dials and buttons
All GM needed to do was give the infotainment screen 1, maybe 2 more inches in width, and design a slightly more elegant skin. Otherwise, the perception is this is nothing more than a Traverse/Enclave/Acadia.
Loving the color both exterior and interior. Most of the vehicles I see of Cadillac. Red be looking too dark. More like a dirty brown look. Is this a paint job because most factory. Their red color don’t look like this in the sun.
We had two escalades. 17 then a 19. Wanted something smaller. Looked at the xt6. I’ll describing be it for you--It’s good from far! Falls short on everything! Bought a BMW X5 won’t ever buy another caddy.
BMW is great if you only keep them 4 years. My brothers 2018 X5 with 65,000 miles just needed $8,000 worth the leaks fixed. He traded in for an 2023 X7. I would have switched brands but I like keeping a vehicle 10 plus years.
< feelings > < looks > notice what she considers what is important (in the 1st 2 minutes) Guys. #marketing Women make (unfortunately) about 80% of major household financial decisions. Of course, if she was #rich she'd just get a Cayenne and be at the country club instead of a parking lot in the sun. When either of these break down, she will call a MAN to fix it. Her speaking and presentation skills are very good!
btw, these things depreciate like a rock; a nicely spec'd 2020 XT6 is selling for $34k on the used car market and STILL under Cadillac's 4 yr warranty. Just buy'em used! Kelly, you're nice but it's a Guy's thing to discuss $70,000+ vehicles, lol. We men fix'em, build 'em , design 'em.
