I just bought a 9.9 mercury 4 stroke sat for 7 years the owner said at the estate sale. Second pull and it just purrs. I’m so happy with my purchase.

Got a 14 foot alumacraft had 9.9 mercury 4 stroke it is a 2010 boat did great put a 2023 15 hp mercury and can't hardly tell a difference still have 9.9 both great motors

I use that same motor on a 14ft V bottom and once it gets up on plane it really flies down the lake.

I'm looking to get a 14 foot jon boat and will take 2 dogs. I live near small rivers and lakes. I see no reason to buy a large boat. I haven't decided what motor to buy. Any suggestions?

Cool man My daughter was that age when she started going great vid. I have the same motor on a Southfork 1548 it gets 19 mph with just me. I was thinking of doing the 25hp carb and prop any thoughts.

i just bought a tracker 14 and paired it with a hangkai 18 hp and it gets scary when i give it the beans @_@ that 18hp motor can get it chuggen at 32mph

@nvfishing8614 the motor was about 1300 after taxes and everything and the boat I bought new for about 2100 after delivery charges and dealership fees and registration costs

⁠@@control177nice man, i just bought a sea nymph 14.5ft amd was thinking about the 12 or 18. Tbh its a steal for 1300 as others would cast a couple grand. Trynna get my setup just right

@@5050fishing brand new motor just finished the 4 hours of break in. I’m fixing to build a jack plate in was pretty deep in the water even though it’s a short shaft

@@kinardoutdoortv873 yea maybe that's it. I just got this motor and was searching to see what everyone elses speed is. I have a 14x40 jon boat with this motor. With me, my girlfriend and her dog, cooler full of drinks,fishing poles and tackle and we were getting about 18-19mph . Haven't tried it solo yet..

The 9.9 Merc 4 cycles have an accelerator pump, and each twist of the throttle floods the engine with a shot of gasoline. Don't flood the engine, with or without the engine running.

I’m 260 and I’ve have my buddy in it with me who is 230.. you might need to add some weight to the front but there is a 1540 model that would be a little better for you.
