Well, this is a story I missed out on. I also like how some people completely blanked on Lena already having a handsome rogue (Julian) as a boyfriend, but the fact he’s ok with Lena being with a woman does show a lot anyway. Always nice to have a Matthis moment.

My favourite part of Fire Emblem is being able to take these useless units and making them into the god of their story. It is something which I feel is lacking in modern FE, where everyone is viable. Bring back the Matthises, the Sophias, the Rolfs
My first exposure to Matthis was your Rivals of Aether mod and then all the memes and seeing his dialogue and him being a LGBTQ+ ally and my appreciation for him grew and now I always use him whenever I play any FE game with him in it and also have him built to +10 with premium skills and an arcane weapon in Heroes Matthis truly is awesome sauce
I'm playing through my first Shadow Dragon playthrough on Hard 3 at the moment, I'm gonna try to use Matthis in my main squad. Time to be dashing, and feed him levels.

I don't engage too much with the FE community or play games with dastardly monetization schemes, so I missed all of this. But I am a Matthis enjoyer, so I had to click when I saw this in my recommended. This video and the accomplishment as a whole is goddamn hilarious. @@gregster1016 yeah but even in 0% growths he can put in work. He has enough base wlv to use dragon pikes and 21 HP to survive against dragons who deal 20 true damage. So he's a good deploy for Anri's way compared to your other starter cavs who can't use the dragon pike and would just lose anyway due to having less than 21 hp
I am happy for you and these matthis fans, which includes a certain someone in my life, because I know I would love for this to happen to Makalov, but I can live vicariously threw this.

Between the stiff body pillow coomers and the gay activists, its too much kid grooming bs around this game. The community is largely negligent about respecting that boundary you're pretending exists.

Also Fire Emblem was never really a safe place for children, almost all the games mention rapes even if not always explicitly, more than one game mention incest, depression, suicide...
@@eleonorepb4565 Neat. No they don't. Literally those are not commonly and heavily explored topics in a game series where the typical age rating is E-T ranges. It's pretty bad to take something aimed at kids and try to attach "social coaching" or explore heavily adult topics in it. I'm not talking lightly mentioning shit or anything else, but it's not the place to sell what people politics should be, what lifestyles they should live etc. Be an actual adult and make something about those topics if you want to discuss mature topics, don't attach them to kids products for groomer type of bait. And it's horse shit that the games aren't "safe" for kids. It's the community that's not. People that aim to manipulate children.
@@coldeed why are you acting like if Fire Emblem was Pokemon, this serie were always for an older audience, just play the game and you will see that they always had heavy theme, if you say those games are for kids it's that you never paid attention to the story, in Echoes one of the protagonist is litteraly the product of a r*ape and it's not really hidden, so if for you this topic is for children I think you have problem. Also once again youtube is not for people younger then 13 years old, normaly you can't own a youtube account if you are not at least 13 years old. Also this video is not really about homosexuality, it just mention that a quote by Mathis that became a meme. That's it, also no meme are not for children, the ones mentionned in the video are fine but some meme in the fire emblem community require the ability to understand the sexual implication. For some reasons you cry about the "Mathis support LGBT rights" meme but not about the "Ninian was pierced by Eliwood's Durandal" while the latter is way more sexual and kid unfriendly than the first one. The truth is that children probebly don't know what mean LGBT so even if an irresponsible parent let their kid in youtube the child won't probebly understand this video.
