I originally assumed that the Ghost AI was using a rough percentage on people hitting combos, so I assumed if someone had a 100% success rate from cheating, it would just mimic that, I was surprised to find out it doesnt work like that fully!
AI ghosts are flawed as hell and inaccurate. I'm a hard stuck Garyu and absolutely suck at the game. I decided to try fighting the ghosts of some of the top players in the world (Joka, k-wiss, Kaneandtrench and more) and I beat all of them without struggling. If I played against the real human version I don't think I'd take a round even if I played 20 games
its definitely not meant to be a 1 to 1 accurate representation as much as id like it to be, but its much cooler than normal ai in a video game! this video gave me at least a little bit of new information on how the ghost ai might possibly work though, which I think is pretty damn cool haha
@@AveryxFGCI don’t think it’s really meant to mimic their style or “skill”… not exactly. I think it’s supposed to show which parts of the characters’ movesets the player uses most. Like if a King player always just defaults to the 2 throw breaks, their ghost is basically there to teach you to break those. I mean, to state the obvious, it’s still a fighting game AI, not Alien Isolation 😂 Like the budget and time for it was probably pretty limited
@@blazaybla22 Alien Isolation was 10 years ago, I dont think its anything crazy to expect a next generation fighting game thats releasing on UE5 to mimic the actions and movement of a player when the creators specifically said their AI is "trained" off of real players lol. I have played quite a bit of ghost AI and 99% of the time this is exactly how they work. A lot of people keep claiming that the AI "sucks" but I just dont think anyone is using it correctly. Of course its not going to mimic a player 100% of the time, but if I have fought Ty and PhiDX both multiple times, and the ghost AI can mimic the player even at a 50% accuracy, and feels like a resemblance of the player, I think thats cool and unique enough to warrant diving a little more into the system to figure out how it works!
I think you have to “train” the ghosts, im not sure but I’ve heard when the game released that the more you play against one, the more he “opens up” and gets better
Great video as always❤We really need to get cheaters banned or pressure bamco to banning them. Really excited to what’s to come but I’m sure it’ll be quality videos❤ I still have yet to play arcade quest so the ghost battle feature is off limits for me😅😅
glad to hear youre excited for content coming up! I do plan to play a couple of new characters here soon, and im quite excited to get those videos out! next week's video is going over how to quickly and efficiently pick up a new character since Lidia will be out! after that video next week ill probably do a few videos on playing some new characters, and dvj will definitely be one of them:)
@kono-boke I think this is wildly out of the range of how many cheaters there are. I have yet to run across, or talk to anyone who has came across any sort of cheating that isnt coming from a few obvious cheaters who have been around for a bit. They are out there unfortunately, but 50% is way too high and not even close to the amount of cheaters there are in the game
@kono-boke I think you are looking way too into this, Im pretty sure this game is just bloated with new players so the skill ceiling is going to be a bit lower, nothing you named here has given me literally any idea to believe people are cheating, it just comes down to 1. People having bad connection and are used to it. 2. you reading into a lucky duck as something malicious. like I said in my original comment, I have not faced a single cheater, I have a friend who is in tekken god right now with one character, and tekken emperor with two more, and hasnt seen a single cheater, I have at least 3 more people who are tekken emperor or above and not a single one of them have said they have seen a cheater when I asked them a few hours ago. I dont think its that people arent picking up on patterns, I think youre just reading a little too much into how people react, and dont realize that a lot of people tekken king and below are a lot worse than the T7 equivalent ranks, so everyone will feel like a bot, because they are newer players
Tekken Ghost AI can't copy that kind of player since (probably) the program was designed for human playstyle with human patterns and errors, etc... And the "players" in this video are just literal bots, so yeah, impossible to get data on player behavior on hit or such Good vid!
They are supposed to learn from the matches they play in ranked, but ive noticed for some reason it takes a couple of games for them to "warm up". after the second or third game I notice it to be at its most accurate!
I believe it has to do something with Japanese laws, or the laws of where Fariborz is from. they keep resetting his account because they are aware, but for some reason wont permaban him
@@AveryxFGCI've known about Fairboz for ever and didn't know they just reset his account 😅 that's actually more messed up than banning him imo. All the new players have to deal with it the real tgd can handle him. I'd be stoked if he would be banned tho gives us sweaty ass Kaz players a bad name but sadly from my own experience 99% of cheaters I've faced use Kaz idk why
@@genesishandboards Unfortunately we have been graced with the nastiest worst fucking character playerbase lol, a lot of kaz players are just horrible people unironically, and I have no idea why LMAO
This was very interesting! I thought the cheats were going to be applied directly to the AI, but can you code a cheat into this ghost ai? And I also lowkey wanna 1v1 you!, Id be down to join a Discord VC or something and get some FT5's going.
thank you for the heads up, however I knew that already haha, as I said in the video I was trying to let it throw moves to see if it would adapt to a more aggressive playstyle, I didnt want to punish anything with launches because the goal was to learn how the AI functions!
Yes, training definitely imrpoves the performance. I did it back in the demo and my ghost actually took some matches off of me. It won't be as good as the real player ofc but it is fun to fight once it's trained. Ever since I've been playing online on the full release the ghost seems to have been ruined.
You can barely call the ghost AI's intelligence. Idk what or how they coded them but they definitely dont use any advanced techniques to train them like machine learning. They are not indicative of a players ability in any way shape or form. Its not because it lacks the data from cheaters, the AI is just terrible regardless of the player.
I think he side rolled slightly on get up and it just so slightly made the laser off axis, this move is one of the most linear ones in the game sadly haha
hey! I struggle with sarcasm a bit and dont really understand it so im unsure if this is a joke or not haha, if not! yeah can get this type of laser specifically by doing UB 1+2, all of the other lasers are locked behind heat, but this one you can do out of heat! if you are joking apologies for the explanation, I just cant tell lmao
@@svr7823 my bad for missing the jokes oops LMAO. but yeah! doing up back 1+2 is how you get it! it is really slow, and insanely linear, so its only good for very certain situations, but its a fun move to pull out sometimes!
@@grimwukong56you are fighting with yourself. Can’t block at all =/= they just randomly block. They do block, but since it’s AI it will never be able to work like a script.
@@2D_is_all_I_need yea I wasn't saying they can't block. I was saying they suck at blocking. I can spam one move on a ghost and they'll never adapt to it.
