It really wouldn't. Our locals has restocked on RC1, and none of the boxes have budged. At this point, outside of a QCR or Talents, you'll often lose your money, and it's better to buy the singles you still want.
I kind of agree with everything you said. I think it's a good set but it's missing something. Though I still think some people are overdoing it by calling it trash. It's still very solid and I'm looking forward to it.
RCI , was a one and done. RCII , money grab, hasty, attempt to cash in on an anniversary set; that should not have been called RCII or designed better. Perhaps changing at least 1/3 of the set with cards that not only make sense but mirrored RCI in quality and design. Would have changed the set. Had more fun, speculating, predicting, and watching wish list than the full set list being released. Can’t win them all -Konami lol
as a branded player i am happy to get qcr and psr versions of the cards we did get but its so crazy no quem, cartesia, granguignol or branded fusion lol
After Dragion being revealed for the tins, it is a real slap in the face. I like some of the cards but is really, really dropped the ball with the "hype". Fenrir, Thunder King, and Branded Fusion for me would have made the set in a B tier. However, they are not and makes it really lackluster on even thinking of buying a pack. Never trust TCG with another OCG to exclusive product.
They should have included some of the unbanned cards like Snatch Steal and Chicken Game. That would at least make it more interesting. On the bright side, at least the singles will be cheaper and the plat secret rare looks better than RA01’s. Edit: of course, RA01 wasn’t perfect by any means either. I got so many versions of Magician’s Salvation that it almost fills a whole binder page (8 copies!)
There are a few things I do not agree with: T G Hyper Librarian. That card IS necessary, we got it last time in an OTS 5 years ago, and I think it is somewhat present in the fun ogue tier due to the Synchron deck. Synchron decks were one of the most versatile decks ever since Edison, (Quickdraw plant) and, although they never were a topdeck ever since Edison (they stealed some top8 in Regionals here and there, however) the fact that Revolution Synchron is around, makes the Libra a relevant reprint per se. Not to mention, T.G: got a support a few months ago, making this card even more relevant. Synchron deck, in a competetive level is played nowadays with a Snake Eyes engine, even with Fenrir, so I DO think, this part of the analisis of yours was incorrect. As for the rest, I am in the 'Team Good Set'. The handtraps are fine, Designator is much needed, I do miss the Trident Dragion, though. It will get a reprint, in September. Sure. Go to hell, Konami. Even if Trident Dragion is not THAT necessary in the deck, in the level of the need of Guardian Chimera in Branded. It is somewhat a needed addition to the Tenpai, it's need is on the same level like the need of the Dragoon, in a Branded deck. Blue-Eyes will always be a fan favorite deck, so I think they are somewhat needed. It's the part of the marketing, we could say. Handtraps are fine, especially Phantazmay, Skull Mesiter is meh, Chaos Hunter is somewhat okay. All in all, I liked your video, you even worth a subscribe. Keep up with the work, man!
Mid set when you consider the price, alot of cards selected here and that RC I set the bar of expectations high. Some useful reprints. Did not expect Bingo Machine Reprint and i did need a Guardian Chimera for an Ursarctic Earthbound build. Accesscode is nice too. The HTs i already have so this set has less value to me as a player.
Here in Australia, a box of RC2 is over $300 which is ridiculous. I also picked up Crystal Wing a couple weeks ago which sucked to see included in the set. It’ll be great to pick up a ton of staples and other cards that are tedious to get but still doesn’t hit the same way as RC1. I think Konami knew this wasn’t gonna be as big of a hit and waited as long as possible to reveal the list so retailers had already bought lots of stock.
I will just buy singles. My targets are Guardian Chimera since I need a 2nd copy, Droll playset for a Rarity upgrades, and QCSE Copy of Rafflesia since Traptrix is my current main in the TCG (Just won 1st place last Sunday). I don't care much about the rest, so on a personal level, the box is an easy pass. Good luck to all who will buy the boxes, hope you the cards that you want!

I think it’s a pretty good set I guess if your looking at it from an investment side it’s a little bit of a miss but it’s good for the game to give people more access. gotta remember that this a card game not stocks I would never consider a hobby an investment with turnout
all arguments you pointed out are fair and valid. I agree with almost everything you said but still I would rate the set 3/10, maybe 4. despite that, very nice video!
The only prints im happy with are illusion of chaos, and the synchros lol I needed those, Not worth buying a box definitely not. But im happy that the singles will come around

im really debating on whether to get a booster box and im aware its a drastic price range buy i like opening packs and i know im not guaranteed the cards i want so ill probably be buying the cards im just really stuck atm any suggestions please let me know
I just think they messed up on not including thrust and fenrir. Instead we get a bunch of cards that were already easily affordable. Set way too overpriced
