I hope Yugyeom gets more attention for his skills because he is often overlooked despite having great technique and passion.

sadly yugyeom goes under the radar a lot when people are mentioning best kpop dancers, but he’s absolutely amazing so i’m really glad you decided to add him in your dancer analysis

idk if it's just me but i feel as if yugyeom is really under appreciated compared to some main dancers one of the things i appreciate about dancers like yugyeom and yunho is their height lol idk how to explain it but it makes the dance look ten times more satisfying in my opinion. also, would love to see you analyze Ten next✨

what i love about this series is that i’m really learning about idol dancers that are deserving of recognition. it’s one thing to adore your bias (which is very understandable!) but it’s also another thing to be open-minded and learn that there’s so much talent out there (besides that of our own favourites) that we don’t usually see on a daily basis. it really makes me appreciate them more on top of how hardworking and talented these idols are. i’ve always heard of how good x and y idols are but don’t really /know/ how good they are - really learning a lot!

Yay Yugyeom! I've always thought he's one of the best footwork dancers I've ever seen in K-pop (probably because his training was in house styles - that's from Hit the Stage interviews) but glad to know there's some actual dancers that also see that Actually, question - you noted that Yugyeom tends to have timing inconsistencies when next to members with more stamina - is there one member in particular that happens with a lot or is it all of them? I mean, Jackson is a well known workout enthusiast, so I'm wondering if it's more noticeable when he's next to Jackson, or if he also has those issues while standing like net to Youngjae (who has, I admit, has vastly improved his dance skills since the earlier days of got7).

He is not only as a main dancer but also as a choreographer for some parts of GOT7 chores. What a talented! I think because of his allergies issues so that make his dance moves sometimes has some lil weakness. Next, please review the main dancer of Winner-Hoony and IKON-DK 🙏

oh goodness i remember watching got7 live 2 years back and yugyeom killed it the entire time (along with the group of course). but yeah ... people rly don't talk about him often :[ i hope they begin to cause got7 as a whole is a group with massive talent!!

Yugyeom and the rest of Got7 are so underrated! Like name another idol that dances in the same style and with as much ease as Yugyeom. There ain't one. I respect dancers that can hear anything and just flow with it. It's not forced, it's not choreographed, it's just about feeling. Freestyling is the hardest thing to do as a dancer and is the mark of a gold standard. Yugyeom has always had that since he was young and I'm hoping for more and more opportunity for him to showcase the elements of a true dancer at heart. Also, I don't really think he can be faulted when it comes to stamina in live performance as compared to the others analyzed though because if you look at it Yugyeom is in the vocal line and the main dancer. He has far more lines than Kai and usually J-Hope too (who is a rapper which is much easier to accomplish while dancing compared to singing). He has even done unit promotions where he sings half the song and still does some crazy isolations and other demanding choreography. So he should have gotten a little more credit for that.

Yugyeom is such an underrated dancer 😔

What I love about Yugyeom is he is not only a good dancer but he is genuinely passionate about it. He posts videos of dancing all the time to the point where I could not imagine a world of his without dancing in it. Astro Rocky is another example of this too. It's nice that kpop idols genuinely enjoy what they do because it makes their position all the more deserved

One thing about Yugyeom is that he always dances at 100 percent, even when he isn't in the front leading. Also I've never seen him mark a dance or do it half heartedly live. He needs to be a coach for a dance show. I don't get why he hasn't been given the opportunity.

I definitely didn't expect him to be analyzed so soon since as you mentioned he often tends to get overlooked but once again your analysis was very interesting! I never really noticed how important head movements were until you pointed it out and now I know why sometimes something felt off even though I couldn't figure out what is was

being a GOT7 fan since debut i'm so happy to see this video about Yugyeom. I really feel like he is underappreciated as a main dancer. I also like that he has room for improvement and i'm sure he will keep on getting better and better because he definitely loves dancing, like we can tell watching him that he is passionate.

Woah I came here after my online exams and I am one of the first few hundred. It somehow feels very fulfilling. I feel like every HGI post you have makes me want to learn their style and technique like how I feel about Yugyeom right now, but somehow I only feel like I would step on myself even with basic foot work.

The reason why Yugyeom is one of my favorite Kpop dancer is bcuz he is very good at freesty dancing, but he always gets overlooked shame😩😔.

Thank you for covering gyeomie ❤️ he’s my ult and it makes me so sad that people leave him out when discussing their favourite male main dancers - I think it may partially be because he’s never really played off for having a strong sensual energy that is common w other male dancers (Kai, taemin, hobi, etc). He’s our precious maknae and I’ve always been fascinated by his dance so it’s very interesting to see him covered here!

So glad to find this! Yugyeom is an incredible dancer and by far my favorite in all of K-pop. Please do GOT7 Jinyoung next, I feel that he is way underrated in terms of dance and is more appreciated as the visual/center of the group (no complaints there but I wish his dancing would be noticed more). He got into JYP because of his dancing talent and was a top trainee as well according to Bambam.

I am not sure if you would be open to it, but I love this series, and it made me come up with an idea. What if you did a choreographer version where you analyze their dancing like this (“How Good Is...?” series)? But the choreographers I had in mind were the 1Million Dance Studio choreographers, since they have choreographed lots of kpop dances.
