How good of a fit in Anthony Richardson with the Colts? | 2023 NFL Draft

@@SmittyCity15 Yeah, why wouldn't I be? We were predicted to be one of the worst teams in the league this year. We lost our starter but still played hard up to the very last minute of the season. The Colts were minutes away from making the playoffs. The rebuild was ahead of schedule and the team will have a healthy AR next season who will help elevate them even more.

You want a 50ish percentage completion rate QB starting. Oh lord! I bet 20 picks he throws!

@@brettk9316 The Colts are clearly rebuilding. Nobody is expecting him to be the savior from day one. Getting as many reps as possible will help him. He has the right coach to help bring out his full potential.

A bust is a bust. Neither should have been picked in the first round. But the colts enjoy being in the spotlight for negative reasons.

@STANLEY YELNATS aye man. I loved getting matt ryan don't me wrong. Supported him till it was tough to watch at the end. Clutch drives was awesome but when he wasn't actually getting pressure he got picked off cause he was so used to pressure 😭 felt bad but AR can learn NFL defenses fast by using his legs and adjustments with steichen. I'm taking my swing on AR than a Will Levjs

@@cback3333 From what I've heard over the months, they basically all claimed that he would be taken high, then proceeded to discuss how he never made anyone at Florida better and described his abilities as though he would have been a project even at the college level this year. I don't just hear the parts I agree with.

Considering guys like Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold and Mitch Trubisky were drafted higher than Richardson with less athletic talent, I'd say his draft spot was fine. People also forget Cam Newton only played one full year as a starter in the SEC and had a lot of character questions off-field before he was drafted.

@@cback3333 They "literally" said ALL of that. Or were you only listening to former athletes and not people who actually watch game tape beyond highlight reels. All the praise of him was based on things he received from God - not things like accuracy, being able to make all the throws, etc. Things that you actually have to learn. To be fair, though, the top touts do seem to believe that he does a solid job of going through his reads before he either takes off running or misses an open receiver 12 yards downfield. Take care.

@@Thatbul all those guys had success in college. For crying out loud Jalen hurts put up 5100 yards and 53 total tds his senior season. Richardson had 26 tds. He has not proven the same potential as those other guys. People just want him to be those guys because he can run. If you’re gonna be drafted that high you should at least have proved something in college

@It's in the WORD2 Manning had a rough rookie season going 3-13 and tossing the most interceptions ever by a rookie. His second year, he flipped the script and went 13-3.

@@lognliv Manning was actually a proven commodity and no one questioned whether he would settle in in the NFL. Richardson couldn't even make anyone at Florida better and there are questions about pretty much every facet of his game that aren't God given.

@A.J. Hart I agree that Richardson is definitely a project QB and will have to put in the work to reach his ceiling. His physical and athletic traits are off the charts, though, which is an excellent start. For the original poster to definitively state that "he won't do well his first two years in the league" is a bit premature. Also, Peyton Manning had about as good of a turnaround as a young QB could have between year 1 and year 2, so I disagree that Manning didn't do well in his sophomore NFL campaign.

What made you think he will get in trouble ?
