Milwaukee Ray Allen had so much bounce in his game; people forget how athletic he was during his Bucks and Sonics years. To me, he's the most clutch 3-point shooter of all time.

@@anthonysnbatalk9154 as stated in the video the Bucks traded him on his prime, that's just saying he is not that valued by the franchise at least at the time, which means it makes no sense for them to retire his jersey based on his years in the bucks. I'm saying that the Bucks doesn't deserve to retire his jersey if that's making any sense. Yes Ray Allen maybe a hall of fame player but his peak of achievement wasn't in Milwaukee. Giannis on the other hand is not yet deserving to have his jersey retired either, we'll have to wait a couple of more years and see how his career turned out and how he would part/retire with the team and the amount of achievement he would give to the franchise

When I think of a "super team", I'm thinking more of a few young All-NBA quality players in their primes who should be leaders on their own teams joining up with each other to stack the deck (think Heat, Warriors). The three Celtics guys were at the tail end of their primes and into their 30s. I never thought of them as a super team, just a few aging stars who had languished on bad teams most of their careers and wanted to make a run before they got too old.

He is a complete package. Can create his own shot of the dribble and has the footwork to separate himself from the defender with step back shots takeaways etc. has a post up game so putting a smaller guard on him won't work, has a great off ball movement, so bigger guards have a hard time defending him, is a capable passer, though his defense is questionable. @DCT97
@DCT97 4 года назад
tsl bop nah the only comparisons you can make between Ray and Klay’s game is their 3pt shooting. Klay was never the well-rounded offensive player that Ray was in his Bucks/Sonics years. Klay is a spot up/catch and shoot player who can occasionally cut to the basket if the spacing is right, he’s never been a great dunker either, Ray was at one point. If anything Klay and Celtics era Ray Allen are the more comparable players. Although Klay is the far superior defensive player. Klay won’t ever be a 1st option.

@Jesus Shuttlesworth that's what people don't understand.. Imagine prime Ray in the prime GSW system, he'd average stupid numbers. Also I'm saying it, Steph without that system ain't shit... And it was proved at the start of this season and guarantee it'll be like that for next season unless they get another superstar. And don't get me started on Klay lol.. Can't believe people even compare him to Ray.. That's just dumb.

Ray Allen was a pure shooter, that could score as well. And by "score", I mean he could get buckets in a variety of ways, outside of just coming off screens. Or spot up shooting.

Ray Allen is a top 10 SG ever, a top 5 shooter ever and he hit probably the most clutch shot in league history. He was extremely underrated in his prime with Seattle, avg 25+ppg on high efficiency.

MJ,Kobe,Wade, AI,Jerry West(both two primarly shooting guards how were forced to play seasons as the starting pg because there weren't better options),Harden,Drexler,Gervin all better than Ray undeniably.Ray is in the same group with guys like Reggie,Vince,Moncrief in the 9-12th range.Probbably better and more consistent than the latter two just gets the edge over Reggie for his defense.SO 9th best sg seems more acurrate.

@@nazeefchowdhury2226 Let me clear this out for you people; AI played 14 seasons in the NBA and according to Basketball-Reference.com he was listed as a clear PG 4 seasons, as a clear SG 7 seasons and a PG-SG 3 seasons. So he spent most of his career in the SG position which makes him a SG.

Jerry West and AI were for me PGs most of their careers just masquerading as 2 guards. Modern examples example are guys like Kyrie, and Lillard for example. As for George Gervin he played a lot of Small Forward. Check his playing days, he was listed as SF most of his career.

I don't think Ray Allen should be remembered as one of the best shooting guards of all time. He should be remembered as one of the best guards period. Incredibly underrated. But if I were to rank him as a solid knock down shooter, he's second all time behind Steph Curry.
