I'm not sure anyone knows this piece of history, but that part on 3:00 "Last day of British rule", Hong Kong used to be ruled by the British for 156 years until July 1st 1997, which is when the start of this movie takes place, even though this movie was released in February 1998. See, Hong Kong was established as a special administrative region of China (SAR) for 50 years, maintaining its own economic and governing systems from those of mainland China during this time, but that all changed when the central government in Beijing increased its influence after the passing of the Hong Kong national security law in 2020

3 parts of this movie that really make me crack up laughing are: 1. When Carter starts dancing like Michael Jackson in the middle of the street after blowing the car up 2. When Lee and Carter are bonding and practicing disarming techniques while Edwin Starr's song "War" plays in the background 3. When Carter says "I know that ain't the bomb. Get that bomb away from me." Towards the end And trust me, the blooper reels for the remaining two movies are just as funny when it comes to the slip-ups with the dialogue.

Rush Hour was almost starring Jackie Chan Martin Lawrence or Chris Rock before Chris Tucker. Martin had Jackie on his Christmas episode 'Scrooge' trying to find Sheneneh for some reason, but something happened, and Martin couldn't do it. Then they were looking at Chris Rock, but I believe he couldn't do it because he was doing Lethal Weapon 4, so they got Chris Tucker.

I was introduced to Rush Hour movies through my dad at around 6 who put me on to Bruce Lee movies when I was studying Taekwondo; he told me that Jackie Chan was an extra & stuntman in some of the movies(Fist of Fury/The Chinese Connection & Enter the Dragon) we watched which blew mind as a kid 😄 and as much as I loved Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan was a lot more fun to watch 🤷🏾‍♂️🤣🤣🤣

Hey girl, I feel you on that WB hate. A while back they deactivated a TON of their digital codes library without warning. People buying Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings 4K and Blu-ray sets were livid. So many more titles, but those are two of the biggest, and It’s still a problem. Who tf does that ?
