I disagree. My best friend growing up was already way 6'4"-6'7" during highschool. Hes all legs too. His hip bones are at the same exact height as my nipples and i'm about 5ft 10 lol. He never ever talked about his height though. Other people constantly said stuff like "wow you are really tall", and he would just be like "yup....". He would always just leave it at that. When people brought it up, they were basically just stating the obvious, and he had no interest in that.

Wait! Don't u think below 5'7 is too small in USA? I mean here in India person having height of 5'8 consider average (don't even believe on internet which reports 5'6 as average, it's a joke in the name of survey) , in USA I think people of 5'10 feels themselves average, as u said on tom Cruise is Below 5'7 it's crazy short height in USA. I am 178 CM tall indian boy and I feel just above average here in India, so in USA I think below 5'7 is too much short for an lead male actor.

I don't think that the difference of 3 inches is minor, I am 5'10 and my brother is 6ft the difference is 2 inches but anyone can notice the difference but yes with good boots a person of 5'10 can look similar to 6 ft tall untill Or unless other 6 footer is not wearing the same kind of boot😅🤣

Also, somewhat unrelated, but I have an uncle who is 6'3-6'4", but when asked, he tells everyone he is 6'. No one knows why. Idk if he's trying to make us feel better, or if he literally isn't aware of how tall he is, or what the deal is. I mean that's weird right? I've never heard of another man pretending he was shorter than he was. At least not by THAT much.
