Same. People turned on Hogan after that and chased him off to Thunder in Paradise. To this day he has no idea why fans turned on him. It's because they wanted that belt on Bret. Not Hogan. Not Luger. Well, that's what I tell myself, at least.

I’m confused, is this show separate from the main Rich Eisen program? I don’t like how it’s been pushed away from the mainstream. Wrestling already has their own shows and podcasts, I want wrestling to reach the casuals on a real sports show!

How young is this guy to think Hogan started in WCW first? So he just totally missed the Hulkimania movement? Especially since his brother watched it.

My friend here in the U.K. had Sky TV and all the WWF and I didn’t. He would tape shows for me in exchange for White Dwarf magazines! He would never, ever give me spoilers until he handed me WM9. He didn’t tell me any specifics but he warned me that the best match was average, the rest was crap and the ending truly sucked! Worst ‘Mania ever. Broke my heart too.

BRET HART LOST THE MATCH. What were they supposed to do, end with Yokozuna as Champion? It woulda been a total downer. I thought it was awesome that Hogan won at WM9. Nothing like that had ever been done. It was different. MacMahon always said, "Anything can happen in the WWF." People who don't like the fact that Hogan won at WM9, just don't like Hogan. Hogan was the top guy at every WM before that. He made wrestling what it is today. Show some respect. As a kid, I was bummed that Hogan wasn't in the main event. For Punk to say his "heart was broken" over that is a total lie. Ok take Hogan out of the equation. Yokozuna would have won. Would Punk like that better? Bret Hart had a rematch against Yokozuna the following year at WM10 against Yokozuna. Punk was only a year older. He got what he wanted, so his young heart was not broken.

Trust me, knowing what we know now about Hogan and Vince. Anything Hogan wanted he got, up until he wanted to leave for WCW. I mean Hogan Ratted out Ventura to Vince and told him that he (Jessie) wanted to unionize the wrestlers and no show events until Vince paid them fairly. that ending to the WrestleMania 9 Match was another KMA club moment between Hogan and Vince
