I think the beautiful sky blues in the fabric chosen for your shirt waisted dress will look marvelous on you. It's fresh, feminine and lovely. It also suits your skin tone perfectly. Very good choice there.

I am always curious when I see the pattern as to how Viki Sews will instruct on the insertion of those back darts on a bias cut skirt, it leads to some PHENOMENAL shaping, and is def a step up from any of the big 5 slip skirt patterns I've seen so I am really interested to hear your thoughts on it. You had me a long shirt dress, that inspo phot is the bomb and your 6 yrds of fabric will thank you for allowing them to cloak you in beauty, I think you shirt dress plans sound lovely. I love your sewing plans and creative process! When I saw your sequined knit towards the end of your video, it reminded me of a similar knit that I have in my stash in an off white colorway! Julie! So glad to see you, and so sorry you aren’t feeling well! I had a similar situation at the start of the year missing a week of work! What a shame about that lining! The fabric for the new coat is gorgeous, and I cannot wait to see it. I love the charmeuse you have for the McCalls pattern.

You are right about that head cold. I was sick for about that long too with chest congestion. Ugh. Thankful that is over. I hope you are relieved of all of your symptoms soon!!

I have that mauve fabric too! I have not been able to decide what to do with it. It is so soft and nice, and I've definitely wished I had it made into something for this last week of freeze! I'm looking forward to seeing all your plans coming to fruition, and seeing how lovely a sweater the mauve fabric makes. :D

Hope you are feeling much better by now! All your plans look like so much fun - I would say don't worry so much about a cohesive wardrobe as long as you have things to wear that you love because a creative mind like yours can go in many directions, so why not your wardrobe, too? (Unless that really matters to you, of course, then, yeah - cohesive it is!). Happy New Year!

I love the look of the fabric you're wearing (and the mauve one even more). Can I ask what kind of fabric it is, a breakdown of fiber content, etc.? I'm in the UK so won't be able to order from Hobby Lobby, but I'd love to find a similar fabric over here. Weirdly, Hobby Lobby block me from even viewing their site outside of the US. 🤷
