technically speaking if you just use a fishing pond to reach fishing level 10, it probably does take several years. if you instead get the crab pot bundle or use the fishing pond to get to fishing 3 and buy crab pots, we can get to fishing 10 much easier, 100 crabpots is 500 fishing XP a day, so we'd get fishing 10 in like 30 days. still not enough to do it in spring, would need like 200 crab pots.
@@bloodred255 sadly this doesn't work, as collecting any fish from a crab pot counts towards your first fishing encounter, so you can only level up fishing through fish ponds
The lava eels smaller size makes total sense scientifically. Bergmanns rule says , that animals grow bigger in colder environments and smaller in hot ones. Because of optimal surface to volume ratios.
220 likes and the only reply is ur self nah I can’t let that happen and honestly thanks for the fun fact I’m now going to have a random ADHD hyperfixation on fish facts
The way immunity used to work is something that I personally researched and posted to the wiki in the first few months after the release of the game. I remember being very frustrated by all of the inconsistent info about it, none of which actually was right, so I took a look at the code and found where it was implemented. It's really cool to see my very very VERY tiny contribution mentioned here, all these years later. :)
All of those facts were neat, but I will take home the magnet lure thing. I genuinely never used it because I took that flavor text seriously. Perhaps there's room for a small update on that wording.
If you consider that all other bait increases the bite rate, But the the magnet bait has same bite rate as no bait. Then the logic behind the description is more understandable. But using the term "indifferent" might be a better choice? Edit: I just checked the wiki. It states that the magnet bait has the same catch rate as normal bait, which is about double the bite rate without any bait. So it's a bad description.
There are bits of the code which indicate that fish were going to have favourite bait, and that there would be more bait types. It seems the magnet description is a hangover from this.
If someone isn't crazy for something, a common phrase, it mostly means they are neutral for it. This is a perfectly normal phrase and properly used. When someone is crazy for something it means they love it. When someone doesn't love it as a description it means neutral as you didn't specify it is disliked.
I remember finding the Living Hat randomly and I didn’t know how rare it was until much later I even wore it around bc I thought it looked funny and when I found out about how rare it was I was just like “cool”
Actually there is one space too little in the museum, if you consider only the spaces that you can access from the outside to examine (6 in every case + 2 on a diagonal that are unreachable with controller input)
With the magnet fishing item, of course it doesn't have a negitive effect because it doesn't matter whether fish like the taste of the bait: if the fish is tasting it, it means it's already hooked. (other than smell)
As someone who makes a habit out of finishing days (particularly in spring and summer of year 1) with less than 1 energy on either 12:00 (with no level-up) or 1:50 (with level-up), I regularly use the exact knowledge of energy usage.
they would kill each other over blueberries, going by the fact that hab even namedropped him once as who was to blame for causing people to comment nonstop every time hab said melons are better lol
I can't wait to annoy my friends with these facts and make them wedge deep into their mind, where they randomly think of one years down the road for no reason whatsoever
The other way to get fishing 10 without casting your rod is by completing the crab pot bundle for 3 crab pots, getting 6 hearts with Linus for the wild bait recipe, and then using said bait in the pots. After fishing lv3 you can buy crab pots and bait from Willy to make it go faster.
I don't think wild bait works on crab pots. And I think pulling anything but trash from them counts as your first fish. Wikedy did the Legend 1st catch. And described some of this stuff. Like catching the golden walnut outside pirate cove also counts as 1st fish.
I loved this video! It would be way too much work, but would love to have a long form video like this. I ould listen to you talk about Stardew Valley for hours.
@@rachelgeee I was! We both run around in matching overalls and trash hats now This is my first time playing multiplayer as well, but it's been really fun
Haha, he did a Hats% run not too long ago and his strat with the living hat is to: 1) go to ginger island 2) sleep for an in-game year or two so the island is full of fiber 3) blow up the whole farm with bombs 4) reset and try again. it took 30 tries for him but another streamer (lichatton) took about 300, so you gotta get lucky
I got the living hat from clearing a single weed on my farm after it destroyed my path and i noticed like 10 mins later I got the living hat and I lost it because I wasn't even farming for it
the fact about energy reducing with proficiency was good to know! I’m only playing casually but find the mathematical side of how the game works iinteresteing. :)
magnet bait actually does buff catch speed exactly as much as regular bait. people have confirmed this by looking in the code (it’s in BlaDeSDV’s Mythbusters video)
i dont get why the cookout kit is given so late, when you actually dont need it anymore. meanwhile we get the completely useless burguer which we cant make for at least 2 seasons. i genuinely dont care about its selling price, but to me, they should've been swapped. give us a way to cook earlier before getting the house upgrade, and change the burguer to later when we may use it(but wont because its a waste of resources anyway).
-Only a little over 5,000 hours? How many was AFK? --I have been playing Path of Exile since April 11th, 2012. I have over 25,000 hours. NONE of it is afk. If I am not actively playing a game, it's off. ---#WeirdFlex
tl;dr, I still suck at the game, but at least I admit it, and don't make a video schlinging around a schlonger that is fake and means absolutely nothing.
little tip. your voice is very important in videos to the point if its hard to understand u I dont watch the video. in this case your voice was very unenthusiastic. loved the video tho
