Monk seems insanely broken, she 2 (almost 1) shots his minions. And she’s barely using poisons and potions which should almost be required at tactician difficulty.

@@JayIngemar TB monk is easily among the highest DPR build you can do. An optimised character can output 400 damage on average per round when going all out, without illithid abilities.

Other options are Invis or Gas potions or Greater Invis scroll so you're fairly safe when lethargic.

Use her divine intervention for the legendary weapon. Then you can knock her out and take it

@@eipimuja Yeah but she also has a shield that adds 4 to the armour class. Neither are pickpocketable. You just need to do it after the questline is complete or else you'll fail the quest. I just knocked her out because I didn't want to kill her.

open hand tavern brawler with strength if you feel like cheesing the game OR tavern brawler re balanced mod that uses Dex or strength ( the higher between the 2) and only applies TB to damage roll and not Attack roll if you wanna make things more fair, otherwise this feat is so freaking busted, solo run with it ain't that impressive when you always have 90% + attack chance and all that damage that goes with it.

its called abuse smokepower bombs and barrels and prep fights you know will move to you ahead of time, lol. Raph is actually the most easy fight to pre-game in the entire game because you know exactly that you can prop up the entire room in safety before setting everything in mottion. Then you go steal his shit, trigger the fights around the HoH, finish them, use the fountains to top back up as needed, then head in, let Raph appear, and set off your trail of nukes, lmao. Its funny as hell to watch it all go down smooth as butter.

both have broken single target damage

all classes are amazing EXCEPT ranger. But for a no companions gameplay you kinda have to pick a class that doesn't rely on spell slots

@@MBSilva hand crossbows and it is doing 150+ every turn, plus all kinds of aoe arrows and special damage arrows with them like 250 damage a turn. Only magic sucks too unreliable damage, everybody having magic resistance, too low hit chances despite high cha or int. I was playing mage only for rp sake while berserker and rogue ranger doing all the damage..

​​@@ggoddkkiller1342 That said, there are definitely good striker mage builds, albeit mostly warlock builds. Evocation wizards focusing mostly on magic missile can also work. But yeah, spellcasters are definitely better for control and utility, and it sucks being reliant on spell slots

@@ggoddkkiller1342 I think the people who think ranger sucks is because they use two-handed range weapons and not hand crossbows; hand crossbows are so much better, it puts bows and heavy crossbows to shame which is very unfortunate because every weapon should be good - the fact that you can attack with bonus actions with hand crossbows make them too good. Also, very much agree on magic, it either misses and/or gets saved against all the time. It only becomes very good late-game when you have spells like Chain Lightning and Disintegrate but even then, you're only able to use it a couple times before needing to long rest.

What you do is hoard every bit of rune powder available in the game. 😅

I killed him in one round with three casts of magic missle from gale without breaking a pillar. But BG applies dmg bonuses that should not work the way they do so not a huge deal.

I just used a bunch Arrow of Many Target to clear out the cannan fodder and Otto's irresistible dance to stun him pretty much indefinitely.

Still not too bad to kill though. Can one turn kill still with paralyze and assassin/gloomstalker dual hand xbows on ascended astarion.

I did the fight again a few days ago and it honestly didn't change that much. He still kissed the floor.

Monk is very easy to build. You don't need weapon nor body armor, slot in gears that adds damage to unarmed attacks, pick up tavern brawler and you are good to go. Her character seems to be a hybrid here because she has extra bonus action, so slide into rogue if you want to be like her.

@@piercingmoon24 its 5 monk, 4 rogue, 3 fighter. rogue and fighter each gives 1 extra action. you can also use speed potion/haste for another.

Yeah, monk tavern brawler with rogue levels is absurdly OP.

Someone was sad about how much monks suck in tabletop 5e and decided to buff them in BG3. Then like ten other people all had the same idea...

Yeah Monk is very easy to build and very fun to play with. Even if you drop both fighter and rogue you will still have a great time playing it. She went this route here because it's a min-maxed solo playthrough and that's very reasonable.

Not a pure build, but Sin Tee showcased this fight solo running 6/6 Sorcerer/Paladin. In any case, pretty excited to see what else people come up with for solo tactician runs!

Monks on average clear 70-100 damage per turn without issue. Once you put on some spicy gears that adds additional damage and juice extra attacks with speed/hasten/extra bonus action/ki like she did here, the damage compound really quickly.

Yeah she for sure went with hybrid since she had extra bonus action.
