Here’s an image of the “I’m with Stupid” spaceship pointing at Steve during the Galactic Core cutscene! I forgot to show it during the video. ru-vid.comUgkxwtWevyiIFRo26y0S0LBBlWVuHY0W-KEF Here’s the full version of the speedrun to see the entire cutscene at 29:53 in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TrRUQ2deFl8.html
It's actually wild that you can just effect the game to this degree from another save in the same galaxy. Actually kind of incredible that everything is calculated in that way.
@@hansmoleman2666 I understand why you can't effect on ongoing save, it leaves it possible for things to softlock for that save (all the logic is determined upon generation, editing it breaks said logic). It's still pretty cool that you can mess with the planet before generation though.
Connecting the island to the rest of the planet is actually important not just for civ stage, but for the creature stage too; if it is not connected, then the game will not spawn creatures there and will kill you via the Sea Monster if you get too close (as you'll be too far from the shore of the continent that contains the player's nest)
The creature stage isn't true, you can actually glitch your way to other islands on conventional homeworlds and take a nest, I'm pretty sure he's done it before on another video.
@@Shadow.w The difficult part is just taking the nest; but if you manage to delay the Sea Monster for long enough to take the nest, then the game will stop killing you since you're now on the same continent as your nest.
I remember when I played spore as a very young child I once got soft locked at the beginning of creature stage because instead of reaching land during the cutscene, they just swam further out to sea, and whenever I tried to swim to the shore I got eaten by the sea monster. I wonder if something like this is why that happened.
Have you considered taking Summon Flock submissions? Would be nice for the community to band together and make all sorts of goofy Summon Flock creatures to pad out the Sporepedia
Hey KinglyValence! I have once encountered a weird glitch at civilization stage. Basically i told my allies to go attack an enemy's city, but as usual, they did not attack that city. Then i captured that city myself, and suddenly my allies started to attack the city i told them to capture earlier even though it was already MY city. Thankfully we just merged nations after that.(I do not know which version of the game that was)
I think something similar happened to me as well, I captured a city they were in the middle of attacking and they just kept going to attack the city after I captured it even though we were in the Blue Friendly range. I think I just used Fanatical Uprising soon after though.
Haha got childhood memories of that sort of thing happening lol We had to let our ally conquer it and *then* buy it off of them, (at least in economic hehe :3)
It'd be more feasible to just mod Doom into Spore (rather than finding and using an ACE glitch), since it is possible to add custom code to the game. ...actually, recreating Doom and plopping that into Spore seems like a fun thing to code. hm...
So if customizing the planet terrain affects stages from Creature to Space, but not Cell, then is there another way to affect Cell? In fact... Where does the entirety of Cell happen? Other stages obviously happen on the chosen planet, but Cell is 2D and usually looks the same. Is there a way to gain access to this Cell Level specifically and change it for... Whatever reasons!
your video's are great dont listen to the hater's they are just geluze, i think your content is diffrent then other's in a better way, keep the good work up! 🙂
This is of my favorite games of all time and by far my number 1 channel for it. Please don't fall off the planet randomly and disappear from the platform one day like the RU-vidrs I've watched for other stuff😂
Only at 4:40 I understood that you're using the legit in-game tools for sculpting the terrain. Prior to that I thought you were just manipulating the save files outside of the game. That would've made it more optimized, but much less impresive.
Ah I totally forgot to show it during the cutscene lol! That would have been great! I made a post with a pic of it :) ru-vid.comUgkxwtWevyiIFRo26y0S0LBBlWVuHY0W-KEF
Hey man, I want to do a quick question, do you know of a bug on the Cell Stage where you can skip the end cutscene and the dialog box? Because I got that bug recently. In case you don't know it what happened was when my cell grabbed the last piece of food before filling the bar I got hit by an enemy cell and it skipped both the cutscene and the dialog box.
Yeah this happens occasionally, when getting hit at the same time as the cutscene would play, the cutscene is skipped. This is actually noted in the speedrunning rules because it's known to happen sometimes. Normally the speedrun time ends at the cutscene, but if it's skipped then we just time when the progress bar is full :)
@@KinglyValence Oh okay, since I've never seen it on your videos I thought it was something either rare or few people got it. Btw, I've been watching your VoDs of destroying the Grox and I'm trying to do the same but glitchless to see how much time I take (love your videos too).
Just found your channel yesterday and want to say thank you, your videos are all amazing and super interesting! Been binge watching so many of them haha :D Great work!
There are thousands of possible starting locations in the galaxy but a home system has a minimum distance from the galactic core and the home system must be a yellow star. There might be mods that allow starting on any system but those are the rules for vanilla :)
Loading up Space Stage in the system you want to modify for a second to note the in-game coordinates can help when searching for it in a different Space game :)
Spore was a big part of my childhood and I still enjoy it a lot! Is there a way I can completly reset my galaxy? I play on steam version. And if there's someway to preserve my creations I would appreciate
The creations made locally are saved in your computer's documents folder > My Spore Creations and you can copy all the creation PNGs into another folder to keep them! The galaxy/saved games folder is located in the Roaming folder, search "%appdata%" into Windows and find the folder named "Spore." Deleting this folder will reset the galaxy and all the saved games.
what if you colonize one of the starting planets and then try to start a new game there? or colonize it during one of the stages during the playthrough?
I had no idea that people still make content for this game. One of my childhood games that I was always afraid of the grox until my first time going to the center of the galaxy. Fun times.
hey i have a idea for a speedrun challenge and its make a space game save and quit and from cell stage get to your space stage planet as quickly as possible and ally them
If I had to guess, it's probably because being allying tribes is much faster than destroying them in tribal, enough that you pretty much definitely want to ally every tribe, which makes you start civ as religious. So if military or economic are faster than religious in civ, it's still probably not worth it because you'd lose time trying to finish tribal as aggressive or industrious because destroying tribes is so much more time consuming, and you'd probably lose and then have to replace tribe members.
I'd love to see a video about the plants in Spore, and the fabled lost plant editor... There are so many interesting ones, and nobody EVER talks about the plants!!
'Ooh Ooh A A' 'Stick funny, kill' 'Who is that?' *Flying creature lands on the nest, with the nest instantly catching fire* *You get forced into the factories* *Life sucks, salary is low and there's no houses or entertainment* *You turn to alcoholism* *A giant steel pillar erects from your city, and for some reason you're paid more*
