I have never been more proud to be an American, listening to this man’s story is seriously awe inspiring! A blessed by god man, with the mental fortitude to push on.

If that aint the American Dream I dont know what is. He went from a Challenger at the drag strip, to a Corvette and then to a nascar.

Great story! Humble guy who is grinding like crazy to pay to race. He's successful cause he worked triple time to make it up the racing ranks. If you think about it. He spend 50 to 250gs a year to go race. He didn't make any money. He spend up to 1 millon to make 100k , 5 + years later maybe.. If he started a supplier company that supplies racing and raced he would of been the ultimate American dirt to succes story.

As an Aussie who's into NASCAR but cant watch anything live, all I knew about this guy was what the guys on Door Bumper Clear would say on the Podcast It was mostly jokes about wrecking out but they respected how he got there and that he got after it and stood his ground and wasnt a pushover on the track I have a whole new appreciation for him now

This was an awesome story 👍🏾 really inspiring to me because I can really relate to this right now. my biggest goal as a kid was to buy a muscle car and this year I was able to make it happen because I stayed on my grind and focused on my goal. My charger r/t may not be the fastest but I’ve wanted one for as long as I could remember. Right now I can’t afford to go racing but I’m working hard to get to that point But Im truly blessed to be in the position I am in right now especially at 20 years old. Listen I’m 14 with the dream of being a pro race car driver I have no money no where to start I don’t even think I’ll have help or money to start off with but your dream came true with the amount of effort you put in shows me my path to success now all I gotta do is make it happen with whatever money making business comes to mind. I respect your story and who you are and when times are rough and I feel down I will remember your story and how you went from nothing to something big I honour your story and who you are as a person.

I just came across this video when doing research on how to become a NASCAR driver. Im 34 (at the time of typing this comment) and I've always been enthralled with racing in general but never had a way or funds my entire life to get in to it...but after taking my dad (who is a big NASCAR fan) to our 1st ever race at Talladega this last weekend (the Oct 1st 2023 Yellowood 500 Race to be exact) I just got that feeling again of "this is what I should be doing" but I still feel lost at where to start..and I honestly feel like im too old to start to pursue this dream

This is a huge inspiration. Ive always been a huge car nut, obsessed with being a car designer, engineer and/or doing le mans style racing. Since elementary school i was studying car magazines & sketching/creating cars every day. Designing the exterior, interior, suspension, powerplant, and chassis (optimizing it for safety). Even "inventing" several ideas that i didnt know existed, and some that later became reality. Like weaving titanium strands into carbon tubs for extra strength & safety (carbo-tanium now used by Pagani), electronically adjustable window tint (recently invented & used by mclaren & lambo), electric motor spooled turbos (patented by ferrari), compound turbos & magnetic suspension. But due to severe genetic health problems & exposure to black mold, my health, chronic pain & brain fog have gotten so bad that my dreams have been put on hold, i can barely function let alone work rn. And the thought of my lost potential makes me sad. This video definitely gives me some hope of fixing the mold poisoning, getting my life back, and doing something great.👍

I never heard of Jesse before this video. Now, I am a MAJOR fan.

This inspires me. My childhood dream was to race Nascar, and I'm in college now, thinking that ship has sailed, and this reminded me that it isn't too late. It's true that most rookies are my age, but this put it into perspective that it's still possible, even if I become a rookie at 30 years old. I didn't come from wealth or racing either, I still pray I can make it happen.

Just a great story …. Persistence and determination always pays handsomely in the end. Bravo!

I’m 18 and am working on cars almost everyday. been wanting to race nascar since I was like 10 and went to my first nascar race at Fontana. Always wanted to race but my parents told me we weren’t raised to dream big. Still aiming for that goal. Won’t stop till I get there.

I’ve been wanting to be a racing driver since I was 4, I got into NASCAR in 2020 watching the Daytona 500. For watching NASCAR for the first time it was crazy to see Ryan Newman flip and nearly die. That moment made me watch NASCAR every season since. I know when I’m 18, I’m going to be begging my dad to help me become a ARCA driver. Right now I’m in middle school but I know this is my greatest passion.

Jesse, I would love to see you make it in cup. That's a long road, and regardless of how far you make it, you are living our dream. Don't forget to enjoy the ride.

My career so far: • Drove my first go kart back in 2018. • Won my first race on a local track a little ways out of town. (2019) • Won my first championship. (2020) Took a brake from racing for 3 years. • About to compete in the International Karting Federation grand national championship. (Now 2023)

Great story, great ambition. I'm confused tho how an active duty officer, has time to do all this? I mean what was his MOS (military occupation specifically) that allows one to start a business, do track events, Nascar events and still be on post? Still command the troops assigned to him? Just a lil jealous of the officer life style compared to the enlisted.

It sucks how expensive getting into racing is. And I know I’ll get some flack here, but even when people grind, for every 1 that makes it, 5 fail. Despite working just as hard, despite having the same drive, despite everything. It does not take JUST hard work and dedication. There is some luck in there. Being at the right place at the right time with the right people. Not everyone gets that. I’m happy for this man, and it sounds like he definitely has worked very hard. But it’s important to keep in mind the opportunities you were given that others may not get.
