super fun stories to hear about seriously, as someone who's just getting into young adulthood and into the business, this is so entertaining and interesting and fun to listen from you and streamers like lud. keep it up! love from argentina
I’ve never related more to a story, I graduated at 22 living in a shitty appt in SF, managed to get a job on the same block as Twitch HQ making way below market rate but many, MANY times more than what I ever had before
Been watching your videos about your time up to you joining Twitch and just wanted to thank you. I’m 28 now and kinda felt stuck. Your stories about putting in the effort and making it despite all the ups and downs makes me feel like maybe it’s not too late and I can peruse my passions as well.
As a marketer working in EMEA, that is mental! We got paid well, the fridges also had booze in, and we were treated super well in starter roles. America eh
Majority of people for their first job out of school can relate to the accepting the first offer for their first job with no counter offer. The whole need experience to get experience when you are right out of school is so discouraging when you have been trying so hard to just get a first job.
Your just chatting/story content is super good. Between this and your "Twitch Dad" advice from last week - would love to see more of this! You're killing it, keep it up brother.
Genuinely enjoy everything that you post because you're extremely realistic while being funny. It's hella inspiring and I remember when you said "be the best at something because it gives you confidence". I feel like I'll remember that for the rest of my life and it's a damn good quote. I knew you were old but I didn't know you were so old to give good advice.
This is the most confusing thing about working after highschool. How the hell am I supposed to know what it a livable or even middle class salary when all the money you've ever gotten was per hour?!
Hey atrioc I hope you see this, your stories are honestly really inspiring and makes me wanna do more and I just hope you continue make content like this. :)
"I basically living out of my car." "...It was two tickets, thank God it was two tickets because I didn't have a car... " he lied, he blew someone to get in.
No joke I'm considering applying at Twitch because of your videos. I'm aware that not every day is like this. But it still sounds more entertaining than my current job hahaha
