How I Ended Up Agnostic 

Can’t everybody just have respect for the path others are walking. Somebody like Birdy is so bright and so thoughtful and I respect her thoughts and feelings as she ponders the great questions of life. Respect ✊ Birdy.

I'm a Strict (aka, hard, strong, closed) Agnostic as well. It was a very long road getting to this point. I was raised Christian and was baptized at 19, but after years of self reflection, studying the human condition, reading many different spiritual texts, philosophies, and diving deep into science, I have a new conviction to stand behind. I don't argue with anyone's beliefs because every single person has a right to believe what they choose is right for them - unless it causes harm to another in person in any way. I am very happy with where I am now and have finally found my inner peace. I still struggle in life, but I no longer blame my struggles on anything outside of myself, which has ultimately made me a better and more capable person.

we all have our own beliefs and none of us will know until our time. I just say no hurting people or animals

Birdie, omg...Birdie! I feel all of this so strongly! I've been there, I've had those arguments with "God", I've questioned everything. And you know what? Whatever brings you personal peace is all that should matter to you. I will not tell anyone what to believe, or how to believe, or not to believe. If that's what brings you peace, then that's what is right for you. Not for anyone else. Not to be shoved down anyone else's throats, not to base laws or government policy on it, at the detriment of others' beliefs. We're all just on this planet for a brief blip in time. We all have to get through each day without hurting ourselves or others. The best we can hope for is that we help others in what we do. Bring some peace, or joy to others...that will always come back to us in time. Just know, you are loved, you have so many who care about you and love to watch your journey. And we're all so grateful you have chosen to share it with us! ♥ Just keep in mind, getting to where we are now took millions, upon millions of years. We, humans are also just a blip in that frame of time. We will one day be "ancient history" and none of it will matter, or all of it will matter. All we have is right now, right here, on our giant rock, hurtling through space and time and while we're here, being good to each other to make our tiny little existences even just a tiny bit better, easier, more "worth it" is ALL we have.

How funny. My friend, who happens to be agnostic, was just talking about this with me yesterday. I love that you are open and seeking. Because that’s where you will find truth. I went down this spiritual path and had an awakening but it was a personal encounter. It has to be personal. No one can walk your walk.

I am agnostic also. Unlike you, my mom and grandma took me to church three times a week. Hymns make me cry and I love them. They were the best part of church. When my little brother was diagnosed with AIDS in 1999 I was 35 and he was 34. As I was watching him die I went back to church to bargain. Then my other brother was in a horrible accident and broke his neck. I was a new mom and suffered the greatest depression, almost unable to keep my career because I felt so sick. I got through it, primarily with the help of a wonderful therapist and my own bravery. I did stick with church until the pastor, who I loved and loved me, retired. After that my brain was coming back and I had questions. I went to a Christian bookstore to see if they had anything to help me reconcile evolution with creation. The owner came unglued that I would even try to broach that subject. It finished me off, truthfully. As an agnostic I can still believe science. I have normal amounts of guilt. I believe that if there is a heaven I will go, and if there is a rainbow bridge I will find all of my pets. I’m a really kind person and any god that wouldn’t take me I don’t need. By the way, my brother with AIDS died in 1990 and I had just been with him. My husband and I were driving up to Reno to meet a couple to celebrate my 36th birthday. The hospice worker assured me that Jon had a few weeks left and he wanted me to gamble for him. But on the way through the mountains I felt him looking through my eyes at the beauty. I started to cry and told my husband that Jon just died. And he had. So I do believe that something happens, but it’s a total mystery. I can’t believe that only one religion can go to heaven. If there is one it’s equal opportunity. I’m 70 now and I still cry for Jin at times, but I still have my brother that is a quadriplegic, and I am thankful every day that I got to keep him.

You are Love. You don't have to be perfect, None of us are. Live, Love, Laugh, cry when you feel the need, always be grateful, and keep shinning your beautiful bright light. To me, that is the creator, and so are you!

Through an existential crisis and through my own journey on this subject I know one thing for sure we are all here to walk each other home it is all about LOVE!!! not the human version of love that is very disalustioned its the Universal Love and I believe Birdie that is what your channel simply exudes LOVE!! I was raised a Christian and now I'm more open-minded. I consider myself to be a spiritual person. I study several different faiths. The Bible isn't the only source or way for people to live by. God/The Divine Source, The Creator of the ALL is a frequency not a person! The Bible was used to control the masses. We are here to spread love and light into this dark world regardless of what faith we choose. Honor your gifts and talents and that's where you'll find happiness! I firmly believe everyone, has something to offer as a service to humanity! If it's about love and service I'm all for it!

I've been through a lot in my 60 years but I wouldn't have wanted to take one step without my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Like you, I've suffered with depression and anxiety but knowing that this life time is very short but eternity is forever and knowing that I'll be in heaven forever makes everything I deal with on earth ok ❤ 🙏

👍❣️😊🥰 I just love you Birdie ❣️ Many people may become angry with what I'm going to say, but I mean no disrespect. My story is similar to yours. I went through all those thoughts. As a child my parents took me to summer Bible School. (1 or 2 weeks or less, in the summer)I totally fell in love with Jesus. It explained the feeling of my creator being right beside me constantly, Even as a toddler. When I was older I just wanted to have fun and Christianity seemed like people who want to unalive fun. As I matured I searched, same as you. I gave in when a Preacher on the radio said, God is not setting out to end your fun. He is your Father and he doesn't want you to do things that may harm others OR YOU, yourself, in the future, because he loves you so much! You are Precious to Him! He has rules like the 10 Commandments, etc... BECAUSE He Loves you, in this way. Now I know that seems simple and obvious, but I hadn't thought of it in that, way. Maybe it was because I was a parent when I heard this. He said, many people ask, how can God be so cruel and let or even maybe make, such bad things happen in the world? He said, its because we chose free will. (The apple story) That God gave this world to the evil one, because we asked him to. This world isn't run by God but by the evil one. God is ultimately God, But our free will is usually the cause of the bad in the world. That is to say that because of free will, unaliving, s a, people hurting people, happens. (Many, even many Christians don't believe in an evil entity. But I've looked such massive evil directly in the face, NOT to believe in this.) Ok now is where the concept gets complicated. We are not Allowed to understand why things happen as they do, Because we do not have the brain power to understand why! Kind of like how a toddler doesn't have the brain power to understand why they have to take a bath, get a shot, eat, vegetables, cover up in the sun, etc... Toddlers have to just trust their parents and hopefully later they will understand why their parents had them do those things. It's kind of the same with us. We need to have Faith. Like a toddler, we aren't going to understand why!! No matter what! It will Never make sense to us! Foot down, that's it! So why not have Faith? Yes we are to use our discernment, to think things through, so that we are not fooled by the evil one, and everyone makes mistakes, everyone sins. Even God understands this. This is why He sent his only living Son , to unalive for us, So WE can be Forgiven for our sins. In the past ( Old Testament, Torah) people sacrificed their best livestock to God to be Forgiven for Sin. (I believe that God used so much blood and sex to explain things to us because we are of this fallen world and it is something that is so much a part of us, that it makes sense to us, His way of simplifying it for us.) Jesus took the punishment for all humans sins! Because He did WE are totally Forgiven by God's Grace. The Only thing WE have to do is to Accept Jesus into our Hearts as our Savior and Repent of Our Sins, and we are Completely Forgiven for every sin ever committed! Nothing owed! No matter what you did! Paid in full! Now Repentance is basically that you are sorry to your core. Like you feel your heart bleeding in such regret for what you've done. You promise that you will give your all to Try to Never do it again! Now we are humans and not perfect and sometimes we slip up, so we only need to repent again. We are Forgiven by Grace. Now about the Trinity. There is God, Jesus his son, and the Holy Spirit. Three separate entities but wholly God. The Holy Spirit is the one Jesus left us with so we would not feel alone. He is our main line to Jesus and God! He is beside us always. He sees and feels our sorrows and joys and hears our thoughts and prayers. If we repent we are promised to go to Heaven and experience Bliss beside Our Lord. For awhile until it is time to help Jesus create a place as good as Heaven. That's My take on it, with a lot of paraphrasing. Many Christians don't believe in Grace but I Do! Many Christians believe different parts of the Bible mean different things than I believe. There's so much bickering inside the church. So many people take advantage of the people who believe in Christ, and manipulate them. What I wrote is the way I Believe it to be true ❣️ Based on my understanding of Bible. It brings me such peace in my soul to believe this! If I am wrong, no one is hurt by MY Belief. If I am right, and you agree and repent, You, Also can Experience this Amazingly Peace! If you want to try it I suggest Praying to God for help understanding. Also, help in not being fooled by people or thoughts or entities, that may try to convince you of something that is false. The Holy Spirit will be beside you helping you understand and helping you with all your concerns. Always pray to be led in the right direction, especially before big decisions. Bring all your sorrows and problems to God in Prayer, He will help you, be your best friend, and love you unconditionally!❣️ I have a sign in my house that says, Jesus Is My Savior Not My Religion. And this is Exactly how I see it. Religion is where people take over and do specific rituals, to "please God", in this way making humans a God, it's called legalism. This is what I believe and try to live my life by. It brings so much Peace and Love to my Soul! I hope this helps you and others!❣️❣️🥰😊

Birdie, the more you reveal yourself, the more I relate to you. I followed a different path to arrive at the same agnostic place as you. I, too, would love to have that certainty and comfort that I see true believers enjoy. I wasn't brought up religious, so the stories in the Bible feel like good parables to live by. I studied several religions and value Buddhist teachings. Although I tried, I was never able to authentically become a believer of any religion; I have always felt like an outsider, and I refuse to be a hypocrite in order to belong. On the other hand, I have felt transformative experiences in some sacred houses of worship of several different religions in various countries around the world. So, who knows? I don't, and I continue to enjoy the mystery. Sending blessings your way!

Oh Birdie…you have poured your heart out once again and I Love it 😊…I have always felt God…it’s like he’s always been there for me even when I was naughty LOL…but he forgives and loves us anyway…when I am in a negative mood…unhappy about something, it’s like I don’t hear him and it hurts so bad…so then I know I need to pray and ask him to help my heart to be right…then I hear and feel him again. There’s a poem called Footprints in the Sand…where you see two sets of footprints…yours and Gods…then you only see two footprints and you ask where the other ones are and it was Jesus that said you left me so you only see one set of prints…OOOO gosh that poem…so lonely to not feel\hear my Heavenly Father…Sending tight hugs Birdie 😌

I just faced deaths door March of this year I must say through my experience I know that he is real to me, I also know you have a choice to stay, or go. I have had two defining moments in my life, first was when my mother passed at the age 16, now During my liver surgery I later found out I coded, which I remember waking up, and seeing my mother,and a presence that was so powerful, it brought such peace, and a calm knowing I would be ok in either place I was going. I was given the choice to stay or go I chose to stay. Life is so much more beautiful knowing what is ahead. I believe 100 percent God is real that he is our Heavenly Father, he protects, he loves unconditionally,his place he has prepared is beautiful. I hope you experience what I have. It is no longer death I fear, but the life I live now I hope it is to the fullest 💙We are not guaranteed tomorrow thank you sister for your videos

i was raised as a christian scientist, switched up to evangelical christian at 33, and left that mess behind after 25 years in a church that preaches repentance is the way but has no love for their brothers and sisters who don’t believe. my brain was so scrambled as autoimmune thyroid disease and an abusive husband were wreaking havoc upon me, i lost my ability to read (with comprehension) and the bible just became so much gobbledygook. nothing made sense except for “faith, hope, love, these three. and the greatest of these is love” and the two greatest commandments (as also stated in the new testament) to love god and love your neighbor as yourself. period. nothing is greater or better than love so love became my religion. i may not know what name to call my creator but i know 2 things: i love my creator and i love all that they created.

Thank you for sharing this. As a child, I was raised in a home with ALL kinds of abuse. Neglect. Even being homelss many times. As a chlld I would ride vans or buses to church. I became a believer in God and excepted Jesus as my savior. My faith and trust have not made my life perfect but definitely easier as in I didn't continue the cycle I chose a life where I didn't do drugs, drink, follow any crowd. I don't push my beliefs on anyone but pray I am a living example of how good God is as I share testimony after testimony of how I have overcome so much. I choose to be kind, caring, thoughtful, giving, loving.... to live my life so that I positively impact others. Even with dyslexia, ADHD, OCD, bouts of depression and lots of baggage, I can make a difference in this crazy world we live in! You too are making a beautiful impact ❤

My dad was agnostic until he was in his later years. He always said if there is a God why won’t he show me…. Well God showed him, and it was a blessing to me because I am a believer in Jesus Christ the son of God as my savior. As Every knee will bow 🙇‍♀️ , but satan is trying to confuse the people and drag them away from God’s mercy and his ever lasting life for you with him. And if you know the Bible, our time is drawing near.

Good for you to keep an open mind. What works for you is best. Contemplation fills the soul and expands the brain. Mother Nature is my religion because I can see it, hear it, smell it and feel it. It’s real. I was raised catholic and it let me down. I want nothing to do with God, Allah, Buddha and all of their paternal ilk. To each their own. I understand everything you said, I felt the feels and the letdown and the lost hope. So, I go my way into Nature and hug the trees and watch the ants. i cried during the Loss of Faith 9/11 story. so beautifully told! on "accident" during the part of the story where you explain to your little daughter, the perfection of the placement of earth around our sun, a man and child appeared on the beach behind you. As you told us of the possibility of Anything being true, he tossed the little child in the air. Accidents of joy! i am joyous that your heart is OPEN. the bland, beige, boring, Atheistic non belief can be so empty. i think humans would create religions even if there wasn't a god. i Enjoy religion, it gives me comfort and strength, but i am pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with god. if there is a god, it certainly wouldn't need me to WORSHIP them, like some self-centered petty, Ancient Greek/Roman deity. i wonder all the times about souls and eternity. physics posits that nothing is Ever destroyed~~ just converted to a different state...❤🐦😇

Cool and wise, Birdie! One upside of being a depressed person, IMHO, is being a thinker and seeker of truth, though it would be so much more comfortable to just believe. (There are very few upsides to being depressed...) Keep posting. This is awesome.

I had a car wreck in high school in 2003 on the way there. Resulted in an 8 day coma. TBI frontal lube I had to relearn Everything. Even how to swallow. I'm not saying all this for myself though. In that coma.. I was standing in line in heaven. A few who I think as of deciples got me out of line. I knew them! I don't know how but I KNEW THEM. We went past flowers that had colors we have never seen. I got stuck on those flowers. Then I fell on my face to the ground. A presence so strong in front on me. I couldn't move. Jesus. Who I believe to be. Then next thing I know I'm in hell screaming and moaning the worst nightmare you could ever think. Fire. Jesus again he saved me out of it. Then I woke up in a hospital bed. May God bless you. Thank you for letting me witness my testimony.

Oh my birdie! From the first video of yours I watched (the peeing all over at night in the van one 😂!) through all the earlier ones I went and watched afterwards, all the way to whales and agnosticism today ~ you are a treasure and I dream of meeting you one day down the road. We share much (depression, single mom, spiritual seeker) and are quite different too. Makes the world go round eh? Raised Episcopal and liked it for the coffee hour and social things. In college toyed (briefly!) with evangelicalism, in grad school tried out UU churches but didn’t connect with any of them, went to Quaker meetings for a while, got into yoga and meditation and went on retreats for same - all while learning about and practicing some goddessy stuff (alters and spells and chants). For a long time I called myself a Quaker Buddhist Witch 🤗 And now I am a “open to everything being wrong or right, full of possibility” agnostic like you ❤️ Thank you for being exactly who you are, and sharing that with the world. Know you are changing lives!

I found the book Meditation for Dummies by Stephan Bodian when I was close to the age of 30. I started practicing mantra meditation where you repeat a mantra in your mind and focus on your breath. Anytime your mind wanders from repeating your mantra you return your focus to repeating the mantra in your mind. I did this for 45 minutes, 5 days a week for 18 months. I would write out my negative thinking and come up with a positive mantra that contradicted the negative thinking. I changed my mantra every week. My thoughts became more positive and I became happier. I used to regularly become depressed, but after praticing mantra meditation as I described I rarely suffer depression. The book said mantra meditation would change my thinking and it did. The book also recommended feeling feelings such as jealousy, anger, fear and pride until they go away rather than suppressing or acting on them. This helped me too. Easier to feel these feelings, than suppressing them all the time.

I'm so happy to hear the door is still open. I can't imagine traversing this crazy world without my faith. In my experience, although I knew about Jesus, I did not know him until... that still small voice called me to him. Not audible, but just a constant nudging. Kind of like what you're explaining. Then I found a book called "Hinds feet on high places" in a random empty apartment. Once I read that, I then got a Bible, and I couldn't get enough. That was so many years ago. So glad to see a video from you again today. This took me is such a different direction than what was intended. One thing I will share though is, my mom use to always say hell is right here on earth. If she would see what all has happened in the last 30+ years, I could imagine she would still agree ... even more so. My beliefs from growing up have been challenged, that's for sure.

I had an ancestor on the Mayflower, who came to this country to find religious freedom. I also had several ancestors who were pioneers and helped settle Utah, to escape religious persecution. One of my great-great grandmothers was disowned by all of her family, but her sister and together they crossed the plains with just a handcart. I haven’t had to make the kind of sacrifices each of those ancestors made for their beliefs, but I still have my struggles and have asked the questions about how could a loving God allow the evil that is all around us. Please understand that you are not alone with your questions.

With God, ALL things are Possible!! His absolute is that Jesus is the only way to Him. The rest is Heart to heart...

I love what RFK Jr said about protecting the environment is a spiritual endeavor because global religions are based in the wilderness wanderers. I am paraphrasing,but I hope we can be united about a divine creator.

Hi Birdy, I believe in God , I need to believe in God. There has to be something more out there, the universe is Infinity. It can't just be us. I do like to say that we are a science project for some university in another galaxy and they're ready to shut down the project that's why the world is in such chaos. Stay safe out there.

We live in a fallen world. Sometimes it falls on us, sometimes it falls around us, and sometimes it uses us to fall on others. It's easy for us to blame God when things go wrong and we were warned repeatedly that our faith would be tested. Free Will was a gift, unfortunately some people use it as a weapon. Faith is a belief and things not seen.

This is so nice not being judged. It should not matter when meeting a solid character; what their personal beliefs. One of my better life friend is Muslim. A nice of mine is Agnostic and l love her dearly. Another person l know makes her living in Las Vegas as selling her body for money....l love her! I am Christian....l have had a personal relationship and it's strong, super strong.

I'm not sure what it is but there is a light in your eyes and sunbeams on your face....You are loved by God, the universe ,what ever you believe.I have lived a life full of impossible situations (most that cannot de shared in this format)but some day I would love to share my very own little impossible "miracle "❤

In the book of Matthew, chapter 19, verse 26. Its all there Birdie, in the word( Gods word) aka “the gospel” The Truth. I am so so so so so so happy I found you on RU-vid! I lived in my van for 6 years , now I’m in a little apt ( home base) I just love. Excited to start my travels again next year. Whelp I gotta tell ya, I aint buyin' none of it. 😁 I went to Catholic gradeschool, Catholic highschool, Catholic college, mass every Sunday and holy day. Even contemplated becoming a nun. As I got older(and maybe a little smarter), I still went through the motions by attending mass but questioned more. I do believe that both organized religion and government are beneficial to control people and minimize chaos. (Unfortunately, most days I feel they're both getting worse rather than better at their tasks.) You know that warm blanket you were talking about regarding religion, I think people need and grab onto their religion as a tool to get through their fears, sorrow and pain. I think that is a good thing, as it helps them navigate hard times. Many times I envy their faith to have that talisman to grasp in a time of need. However, most of the time I think how silly it all is. To me it's like believing in Santa and the Easter bunny. I can't bring myself to believe in leprechauns, god, fairies, jesus, dragons, etc. I think that people who say that God or Jesus got them through a difficult time are wrong. Even as I text these words they seem blasphemous because of my religious upbringing and many might agree. However, I believe that they didn't have faith in themselves to get through it. They were insecure in their strength and felt they needed a talisman to assist them. I recently joked. to my boyfriend that I was going to start my own religion. The God would be Energy. Energy exists everywhere and within us. The theories and beliefs I've created are abundent and two friends listened to my new religion and they said sounds reasonable and they'd join. LOL Problem is I'm really not much in the leader category. So my religion has a congregation of 1. 😂 I'm approaching the finish line. I'm on the back nine. I'm going to do my best to face my final hours without being a hypocrite by desperately grabbing at some talisman to ease my exit. I'll grab my phone because it has energy.... well that's if I used my last energy to charge it.😂

Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I often wonder if I hadn’t been raised a preacher’s kid if I would have ended up where I currently am on my spiritual journey. I had a lot of religious trauma to heal and deconstruction of my indoctrination to do before I was able to open myself up to anything else. I consider myself to be an eclectic pagan of sorts, & I don’t believe in any specific deity, but the Universe is my higher power, as it were. I believe in science, but I also believe there are things science cannot necessarily explain. Since energy cannot be created nor destroyed, I believe that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. I can’t say that I know what happens when we shed our physical forms, except to say that I think we are likely at one with the Universe again until our next experience, whatever that may be (reincarnation, I suppose most would call it). I believe in the possibility of transcendence, lessons to be learned etc, but I believe much of that can happen in the here and now…evolving, growing, and transcending our past selves. More than anything, though, I believe that people have a right to believe what they do as long as it is not used to oppress, manipulate, or control others. Peace to you, my friend.☮️

Same, girl, sameeeee! I'm in the Austin, TX area, and there’s a non-profit here called iACT (Interfaith Action of Central Texas). Every year, the Sunday before Thanksgiving, they host a Day of Thanks where all faith traditions gather for a service where everyone performs an act of worship or prayer in their tradition (e.g., chanting, dancing, prayers, drum marches, hymns, etc.). It’s everybody-Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Bahá'ís, Witches, Sikhs, non-believers-you name it! I loooooooove it!

You literally just put into words exactly what I have been thinking and feeling for the last few years! I was a believer in God for a very long time and yes that helped me get through some rough times in my life but I have also opened my mind to the other Possibilities just like you! So I guess, I am Agnostic and open to Possibilities just like you! I was asked why and how I feel and think this way but I could never put it into words the way you have! Thank You for this Video ❤

I only became a saved Christian 2 years ago. I was wrestling with satan before that in many different ways. Such a stronghold 😢. But now my life has done a 180 and I've never been happier ❤❤ 🙏. Jesus has saved me and I'm forever grateful. 🙏

First I have to say I absolutely love you. You are such a beautiful person inside and out. You might be agnostic but God uses you everything I watch one of your videos! You see, I'm very sick with multiple autoimmune diseases and lucky me (that's sarcasm there) I have bad reactions to most of the meds. Soooo...when I get down, or lonely or well...I can get pretty down and you always lift my spirits! So thank you! Now, I loved how you see the miracle in the creation of the earth and universe. But I've got one better. You're a mom, look at your daughter. Now think about how two tiny cells met up in your wonderfully made body and began dividing and multiplying and each and every cell that came from those two tiny ones in the beginning..each cell knew exactly where to go! The heart cells formed her heart, the eye cells knew exactly where to go and they all join perfectly to work together and now (if you're looking at your daughter) they formed and grew into that beautiful living, breathing, walking, talking totally UNIQUE young woman You're looking at! THAT to me is just incredible. And out of the millions of people who have, do and will walk this earth she formed in you and is like no other. As for me, obviously I'm a Christian. But my parents, though Christians themselves didn't make me be a Christian. In fact I wasn't allowed to be baptized until they knew I compared and believed. I read about other religions, studied, and visited a few other religion's services. By the time I was done I had a relationship with the Lord. He is as real to me as you are or my husband or children. I've faced a LOT of hurt and pain. Not just from my diseases (as if they aren't enough!) I've been through two abusive (in every way) marriages before meeting my current husband of 28 years. I've lost a brother, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friend, had 5 miscarriages and in 2012 I lost my incredible 20 yr old son. THAT was (IS) THE MOST DIFFICULT BY FAR. Nobody can truly grasp the literal ache a mother feels when she loses a child. I remember the day my world turned upside down. I remember being totally confident as the paramedics were up in his room that he was going to come walking down the stairs with his big sheepish grin and grab me and hug me and say "it's okay mom. I'm ok." Because Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead right? And oh I was angry with God! For quite a while I basically had one word for Him- WHY? I'm not just a biased mom when I say my children are amazing. My son was handsome, a liberal genius, he was kind, caring, compassionate. He didn't know a stranger and he really listened and heard people. He was his senior class president, capt of the football, math, and spelling teams. He voluntarily tutored other students..I mean he was the kind of person this world needs and loved by so many. I make and sell things online and when I posted that I'd be unavailable for an unknown length of time and why I had customers say "Omg you're Andy's mom!? He was such a wonderful young mam. I met him when..[fill in usually he helped them just out of the blue with something]" Then one day God gave me a difficult answer to my why. He said "If not your son then who's? " Not in a mean way..he went on to explain but this is already so long! I'm sorry about that. I want to tell you so many things, miracles if you will that I've experienced personally in my life but like I said I'm taking up to much space as it is. If you'd like to hear about them just message me and I'd be happy to tell you about them! For now I'd like to suggest a few "reads": 1) The dead sea scrolls. I found that they tied together or explained (?) Some of the things that I'd had people who were agnostic because of parts of the Bible that honestly did seem contradictory or just didn't jive. The Cannon chose to include basically the accounts written down by only Jesus' most educated followers. He had MANY and many wrote what they witnessed and learned as well and some are just easier to understand I guess. Also try reading some books on near death experiences. I remember one was called "Into the Light" I'm sorry I can't recall the authors name. And another, not to be deliberately vague, was written by a doctor who when he was an atheist when began studying Near Death Experiences from all over the world, ages and walks of life from a scientific/medical poverty. What he found changed him forever. And his retelling of some will really give you good but strong goosebumps! And lastly, HINDS FEET IN HIGH PLACES. That one is just a short but good and thought provoking book. I think I still have my copy which if you want it I'd be happy to send it to you. And last but not least, always remember God loves you just as you are and where you are. Some people think you become "perfect" just like flipping on a light switch ...some think they are 🙄 and some would have other's think they're not good enough because of one reason or another...I've had a family member tell me that I'm still sick because I must be messing up somewhere..maybe my belief isn't strong enough...whatever. Keep your heart open and see what happens. 🙃 Much love my sister...(I so want to tell you more about my experiences!)

Buddhist here. We don’t have a creator god, altho’ Buddha did allow there were gods, but they weren’t to be trusted because they had their own karma, their own mental habits that caused them to behave in some-shall we say-less than optimal ways for humans. Basically, they’re as confused and head blind as ordinary humans, just on a different plane. Although we often don’t feel it, we are already whole, unique and yet part of the all. By caring for others, we care for ourselves through the net of interconnectedness. Much love, peace, and serenity.

I appreciate you sharing your views and your journey. I can relate wholeheartedly! I've gone back and forth my entire life. Raised Catholic by a single mom, in church every Sunday but when I became an adult I started questioning. I remember reading an article about "free will" many years ago when I was struggling with faith and I thought, "Ok, so our higher power created us and then backed away and let it be." I enjoy science too and learning about the proven facts about the world. I am open, but I lean toward agnostic too. Thank you so much!

As an ex special needs teacher who lived through abuse in life; I’ve learned that there is a God. I’ve been down counting pennies to buy gas yo work and feed my daughter. I’ve almost died several times; and I know that God has saved me and brought me out of the dark. He’s made me feel compassionate. Caring. Kind. It didn’t just happen. HE gave me strength and found a way to move forward from the darkeness when I couldn’t see a way. There’s no other way I would have survived. Even home in south Texas with chronic conditions that make me bed ridden some days and weeks; I know that God has a plan for me and is always going to have my back. He has yours too!
