Panters unite! that’s going to become my new mantra when I’m hiking. I’m 62 and even though I walk daily, there is almost no elevation where I live, so the minute I start hiking up any amount of elevation the panting commences and I have to stop for a lot more rest breaks to bring my heart rate down to something close to normal. I’m glad you got trekking poles! Those have been my savior.

I am surprised that the boat ride isn’t there anymore. As a girl…a looonngg time ago-50’s and 60’s - there was a boat ride. Anyone else remember that?!?!?! By the way…great job Bird…🫶🏻👍

We were there in August and loved it. There are some very difficult hikes but speaking first hand, the views really aren't much better on those hikes than what you can see driving the rim. I'm so glad your are exploring. There's nothing better than being in nature.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I have had to go backwards in order to go forward. My Private Practice was not hacking it financially. So I now have a full time job. The pro I an looking forward to is paid vacations. It has broken my heart though. My motto is the old adage. It is well.
