Ever since I’ve found your page I’ve been motivated to do 96 hour fasts and it was the best decision I made I’ve lost about 25 pounds doing it and still enjoy the foods I love thanks man you changed my life
Jerome!!! I lost weight!!❤ Last week in August weighed 273. 73hrs fasting. Weight today is 269 1/2lbs 😊 My feet were less swollen and I was able to wear my shoes today ❤
Keep it up! I was at your weight last November I’m now 170 and it’s been the best most life changing thing I’ve ever done I hate that it took me this long to realize it
@@FinallyFasting thank you so much Jerome! I was "happy" to be fasting again after my meal. I think 73hrs is good for me and I was relieved to see that my feet remained less swollen today, even after refeeding. Hope your fasting is going GREAT!
Ebbs and flows are part of the healing process imho. Once you are claiming victory over the addiction rather than claiming the addiction itself then more peace will manifest. Only you know when it happens within. Praying for you and our community as we all seek and strive toward sustaining victory. 😊❤
Your honesty is so inspiring. I've been a secret eater in the past and would never have the courage to share this. You're amazing and your process is YOUR process. Trust yourself and keep pushing.
Jerome has an amazing ability to fast and drop the weight. But, in my view, he seriously needs to address his binge eating. Consuming 6,000 calories per meal full of marshmallows and junk isn't healthy. He justifies it because he's on 'vacation', but we would accept the same excuse of a scheduled relapse from a drug addict. He should put as much effort into changing his binge eating as he has into his focus on fasting. Otherwise, he is going to be stuck in the cycle of fast/binge/fast/binge for the rest of his life - and that requires an intense amount of focus, and it simply isn't sustainable. Sooner or later he's going to find the fasting tedious and he's going to put all the weight back on because his re-feeds are so massive.
Thanks for this Coach. I feel like since we last spoke, I’ve been on a journey to get back. I’m currently in 24 hours into a 72 and I’m praying I’ll be able to stick through and make it a rolling fast. This video is the motivation I needed today for me to keep pushing on. Thanks again Coach!
Okay, I love you man. You’re incredibly experienced here, I understand. I think you’d experience more sustainable results if you cut your 6k calorie refeeds by like 75% it’s pretty ridiculous that you keep experiencing the same results and haven’t changed your ideology on eating whatever you want. Use a refeed protocol to control your cravings. Start with bone broth for the first hour, two coffee mugs full, then an avocado and sauerkraut or kimchi for fat and probiotic gut health. You need to look at your microbiome and start diving deeper into your health beyond diabetes and weight loss. With love.
Of course I’d experience more sustainable results if I ate less on refeeds, that’s obvious. The same results though? Because I go on vacation and eat back to back days? That’s a completely different animal than what my normal 6k cal refeeds look like. This is vacation. Not a typical refeed. My refeeds today are wildly different than what they were in the past
@@FinallyFasting I just think it’s about creating the habit to curb ghrelin. The protocol I mentioned is the only thing that stopped me from craving more when I was refeeding. I don’t think it’s just about sustainable results I just think you’d see less significant fluctuations. Fasting is still a calorie deficit. I really think you could benefit from just considering the idea of maybe attending OA on zoom and maybe addressing more of the psychological and spiritual aspects of the root of this whole issue. You’re a huge inspiration for me and I love watching your progress I’ve kept off 30 lbs so far and I’m looking to drop another 30 by Halloween. I wanna see you win and stay on top
What is your definition of sustainable? Cause he reached his goal weight months ago and has been SUSTAINING it ever since. His weight gains have been strictly temporary. humans have weight fluctuations on a daily basis.
I appreciate the raw honesty and the dedication to transparency. I’m a big short dude as well, at around 245-250 at 5’7”. I fasted all day yesterday and most of today, hitting 43ish hours. I’m on the road for work and don’t have a scale available, but i felt great after that short fast and I started another this evening. My goal is to hit my first 7 day fast. I think it will be incredibly empowering to achieve and I’ve watched your content since you started for motivation and a sense of community. Thank you for what you do. Cheers, - Nick
Hi Jerome, just wanna say you are still a great inspiration. I unfortunately did not stick with the eating planned that you have been following for the past year. Life got in the way. But I’m happy to say that I realized I have no more excuses and I started last Friday evening at 9 PM and I will be breaking my first 96 hour fast tonight at 9 PM. Thanks for the inspirational weekly video talks.
Life always gets in the way. It’s about how we deal with it and move on. Proud of you for doing just that and moving on with your life and seeing the path forward!
I feel you Jerome! I ate shitty the past week and gained about 17 pounds. I'm doing a 72 hour fast to get back on track. I understand like you do that its not all fat pounds, but water weight. I'm glad you're back so that I can stay on point watching your channel.
It definitely helps the mindset to know it isn’t straight fat being piled back on. Thanks for sharing your struggles and what your journey looks like-keep going! I’m not going anywhere ♥️
Is this actually sustainable? As a long time viewer, it’s starting to look like fasting as long as you do as often as you leads to burn out leading to comfort eating… followed by weight gain & then extreme fasting again to get it back offf…l I think if anything this is kind of proving that for long term success you truly have to let go of the foods that aren’t serving you .
Aye Brother.... regardless of anything, you are awesome!!!! I'm tweaking my journey and documenting it as well..... I'm 6'7 and around 470 pounds.... and even though our journey is different and started at different moments, the common denominator is we are taking accountability and fasting is a key in the success..... keep inspiring Brother.... I'm proud of you..... Respect
When I was doing rolling 80hr fasts with 2-4hr refeed windows I found it pushing me to binge. I wonder if that has part to do with the burn out. I've switched to 5 days of fasting and 2 days of eating which feels more reasonable for me mentally. I wonder if something like that would help or hinder you. I also found that once I've fully fed that I leaned more to healthy food again, which is another reason why I prefer the 5:2 instead of the small eating window
Hi, have you read the book Psycho-cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz? I recommend you do, it will help you rebuild a new self-image and remodel your behaviours towards food. I have lost a lot of weight in the past and it was hard to keep it like that until I started working on my mindset and relationship with food. It won't be "miraculously life-changing" but it's a good start.
Yep Carbs are a no go for me, I eat them and I have the same results as you, I just can't stop eating and eating and weight goes on rapidly. I now understand that eating carbs spikes my insulin which caused the body to go into energy storage mode. The only way I've found to reduce the insulin response is by eating a Carnivore Lifestyle, animal protein and animal fat doesn't spike my insulin as badly as carbs appear to do so I don't get that associated sugar crash which makes me want to eat again soon after eating.
Do you think there is a way to heal that part of yourself that takes over when there is no restrictions? I am in the same boat and I always feel like I can take control but it is crazy how it takes over.
Once fasting and IF, I hear this all the time. I can’t do more than 2 days. With that said - it takes 3 days to get back to where I was. Then sometime I’ll eat Breyers carb smart ice cream & 5# down. Lol. Idk Have you ever seen an endocrinologist?
I’m really not. These fasts are so automatic for me at this point and the discipline is built in-sure, I have my rough days just like everyone else but I also know nothing’s gonna stop me from hitting my goals 🙌🏽
This past week I got stressed out so I just ate, ate, ate! Then got back on board ..and today .. I got out the leather hole puncher and put another tighter hole in my belt.. wow! 🤗🤪🤗🤪
Nice job! But, how are you able to consume 5000 - 6000 calories after fasting? I do fasting myself and even after one plate of normal portion size after a 36 - 48 hour fast I feel full and want to sleep lol.
So, I've been taking inspiration from you and started fasting too. It's been 25 days and I've managed to shed 11 pounds(38 more to go), but I gotta admit, I've been super inconsistent. Some days, I'll go for 65 hours without eating, and other times, I'll only make it to 36 hours. I try to eat clean, but sometimes I just can't resist and end up binging for like 5-6 hours. If I could just be more consistent, I know I'd see even better results. I mean, you've been doing this for 300 days and have lost 80 pounds! That's incredible! So, I was wondering if you had any suggestions for me on how I can stay more consistent and achieve better results. I'd really appreciate any advice you can give me.
Honestly what you’re doing right now (being imperfectly consistent) is the number one piece of advice I shout from the rooftops time and time again. Just keep going. Just keep showing up. Know that those binging episodes you’re experiencing take time to overcome. You get better at what you do through the act of doing. The act of trying. The act of showing up. Proud of you! Let’s go!
Very good update! I'm really glad to see you acknowledge and reaffirm your bad habits/food addiction and are being patient with yourself on how to deal with them. Staying accountable and consistent is the key so keep it up!
Do you ever feel like taking these rule-free vacations test your resolve for future fasts? I'm starting a fast today and I'm doing it to lose weight because I'm super obese but more importantly I'm doing it to break my food addiction and my habits and I'm afraid that if I ever eat this way again I'm going to fall right back into it forever. how do you go back so easily to you fasting routine?
This is a big change I’ve noticed this time around. Even though the scale’s gone up, the clothes fit better. The added muscle has benefitted over time 💪🏽
Dude, you have phenomenal consistency and will power, but I suggest over eaters anonymous. You stop that binge eating. It’s bad for your body . OA is all over the nation. Plus you’ll find friends and support.
Hey Jerome. Glad you were able to take a break to try to relieve some of the burnout. I noticed for you the carbs and sugars really bring your weight up fast. I know you will lose the weight again.
@@FinallyFasting try your refeeds with a specific order of food so that you fill up on fat and protein first. It's all the carbs that spikes your insulin which makes you want to eat more. Literally try refeeding with two giant Ribeye steaks first. Then your body gets the proper sateity signals from the fats and proteins. And you may crave the Carby stuff after less. The type of macros you feed your body - carbs vs fat/protein - triggers different hormones and downstream effects.
Take those nutty butter bars and 2 rice crispy treats, grab two bars put them in between the 2 rice crispy treats and smash them together. Thank me later 😂
should be a competitve eater for your refeeds, think you just eat a large quantity of food lol carrying around a 10lb food baby. think lot of people usually put down a 15 piece wingstop combo at max and feel stuffed. sounds like your able to put away a family meal
Other than some bloat, I feel this time around was different because of the added muscle over time. Clothes feel a lot better even with the uptick on the scale
I feel like people commenting here today are watching this video in isolation and not in context of your other videos and your entire journey Also Ozempic does not cure eating disorders, it masks them and a lot of people find out the hard way each time the stock runs out
Track your macros you’ll figure it out, if you don’t actually care about health n fitness n just want to starve yourself you’ll never accomplish anything.
