1) just pull it up slightly higher than needed
2) and the rest is just laying down nice and even.
3) go back to 1 if it doesn't look good
To be honest the pulling is the easy procedure, I've taught my 8 yr old the procedure in a few minutes and it worked. But the laying down part is the art piece
Once you try you'll know why it has to be pulled up higher than needed especially if you don't have the right conditions and combination of glue type and pulling adaptor (industry calls them tabs). Why is that. It's because the impact area of the dent is hard and the surrounding areas are softer. So the softer areas come up higher!
👆 Note: I would ✨ strongly ✨suggest hiring a professional certified PDR technician with atleast video evidence of success with PDR. If you overdo this procedure the metal can get to a yielded state and the length of the metal will never go back.
