All achievements, one character, one world, no journey mode... I hope you enjoy! Final's All in One Fishing Biome: ► • [Terraria] Multiple Bi... I streamed this on Twitch, be there live next time! ► / gungn1r_
If you’ve seen the community posts, feel free to disregard this comment. Hey everyone! I know a lot of folks don’t see/read community posts so I figured I’d update all of you on why I haven’t uploaded in so long. I finished streaming this challenge all the way back in early February and was part way through editing it, but was interrupted by the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to go through. I think it’s best for me if I don’t go into details but I needed to take some time away from everything to process things. This took a little longer than expected. But the good news is that I’m feeling much better and am finally ready to get back into making content for you all! Thank you all for your patience and support, I hope you enjoy the video!
Welcome back! All that matters is that you are feeling better, and if you need to take another break, do not feel pressured to do so. Great to see you back tho.
because just picking up a zenith gives you the achievement, meaning it's very easy to cheat, whereas angler quests have to be done manually, or cheated through a really obscure method.
@@ImPrettySureThisIsMax i mean the achievement isn't even practical anyways, a lot of the resources you need come from the corruption/crimson. i probably should have done that to be honest it took me a while
Looking back on past experiences I honestly kinda miss messing around in my Terraria worlds just to find ways to dig to the bottom of hell, fly to the top of the world, scower for each NPC and see how much of the world I could dig out. Achievements can really add a lot to a game, even if its a simple way of pointing people towards various goals/challenges to do.
I completed several achievements in the past and remember the excruciating pain of farming items (to make the ankh shield, for example). I decided to play again recently and the shimmer biome saved me several hours, I can't begin to explain how glad I am T-T
despite using the shimmer biome to get the medicated band-aid pre-hardmode, i completely forgot to do that again for the reflective sunglasses. i got the medusa banner before the mirror.
I remember one time when i was trying to get the zenith. all I needed was an enchanted sword and a star wrath. So I decided to fight moonlord because that is more fun to do. But turns out. Moonlord didn't like me at all so it took me 86 moonlord kills just to get the star wrath. I now hate the moonlord :)
I remember the overwhelming sense of accomplishment I had when I completed the last fishing quest. And then the overwhelming sense of dread when I realized I still needed some trophies that the Angler gives you to complete my trophy collection. Good times, it's a shame I gave up on getting the last trophy.
It's been a while since I did the last achievement I had to unlock (the one after finishing 200 fishing quest) Terraria is clearly my favorite game, childhood game, and the one I played at the beginning of his success (2 month after official launching I think).... Terraria will have a special place in my heart forever.
Same here! I'm pretty sure I wouldn't discover my interest for gaming if it wasn't for Terraria. I started playing way back in November 2011 and to this day Terraria still wears the crown of best games I've ever played. (I know you didn't ask but I wanted to share this lol)
I played the very week the ps4 version came out, then i bought the game on pc and mobile. Fell in love with the the game and its amount of learning. with cousins and friends, it made it more enjoyable but it died really quickly as life changed and i found less and less time, no longer played console(no more set up) and only relied on mobile or pc(until my pc broke a few years back). Now i finished school, and while searching for a full time job, i have so much time im just going to relive some childhood games before comitting to the adult life. If only there were big servers like minecraft java had, terraria pc wouldve been so great online if it wasnt so limited at the time. I just blabbed to a stranger, but the pure nostalgia i had reading your comment just felt so warming and i guess this was some kind of closure as im no longer close to any of my old gaming buddies. Life hits, 🤣🤧
I love how committed you were to this challenge, even when things got difficult and there were ways to make it easier, you kept on going and made the video a lot more entertaining
By the way, if you catch a quest fish and toss it out of your inventory or put it in a chest you can catch the daily fish again. I used this to be able to stack up the quest fish so I could just grab it out of the chest and turn it in.
If you play journey, you can instead research the fish, get another one and research it as well, and get infinite that type of fish (researching an iten in journey is basically dump x amount of that item, 2 quest fish are needed, and then you can dupe it
Nice job! A very impressive and enjoyable Terraria video! I still have yet to get every achievement, but I am close! Awesome to see someone get them all so quickly.
It took me almost 3 hours trying to farm for an obsidian rose. I litterally got 2 plumbers hat to drop before I got ONE obsidian rose. That. Was. Thrilling.
I'm a new player and I was just thinking about how annoying it would be to grind for an obsidian rose and then I just got a wild one. 10 minutes goes by and I get one with better stats
@@Cyrusleaf I don't doubt that will be hard, but my luck is pretty insane. I went to a new seed to get an ancient chisel and I got carried away and started breaking all the pots and opening chests, and then I just got a bast statue. Absolutely bonkers
You should redo this video eventually with the new 1.4 achievements. Since one of them is to purify the entire world, you couldn’t just sleep the whole time to knock out the fish quests because the world evil would spread. You would also have to explore the shimmer a bit and kill deerclops like you wanted to. It would also be cool to see how you optimize it since the last one and see if you could do it faster or not with the new achievements
Funny thing is, For the longest time I didn't know beds speed up time Bec I was originally an old gen console player, so there are a lot of things I still don't know about. Thanks for the info tho
When i was doing for the same chall I took the way of doing fishing quest early in day and after it i was doing other staff and after night going back for a fishing quest and again going to do other stuff. But your way of doing it was clearly better since it took me 85 hours to do it, with is almost 2 time as long as it took you. GJ mate you are amazing at terraria!
Holy cow I was literally just this morning saying I wished someone would do a terraria all achievements speedrun. Especially since I’ve been grinding achievements recently. Only got Gelatin World Tour(missing rainbow slime somehow), Heliophobia(idk how I’ve never done it) and the… fishing quest ones. I’ve done 5.
what i'm doing is to get a quest fish, put it in my piggy bank, get more and repeat, and then turn them all in during the same day with different cahracters
@@SoundToxin you can look at your housing list to see which ones you have. From there I just cross referenced the wiki when I was missing one. You’re probably missing the one that requires you to throw purification powder on the mystic toad
With the exception of the grand angler quest achievement, I would power through each achievement when a new update came out. recently I finally got all the quests though and it felt amazing
I know Im 8 months late but thought I should mention it anyways, if you exit out and rename your character you can turn the same fish quest again without having to wait. It is super helpful and lead to me getting the 200 fish quest achievement in about an hour or two
i really don't mind fishing in terraria after i get all my biomes in line. that's the hard part, having a surface and underground section for each quest fish and have them all fairly easy to travel between. pylons help nowadays, but i used to wait to really do it until beating a hardmode boss. that gave me time to set up a bait farm and potion ingredient farm. but now the mechanic sells teleporters early on set up the angler in a little hub of chests full of copies of quest fishes. it might seem like it takes more time at the start, but you'll be glad when you've got 10 bumblebee tuna so you don't have to head out to the good hive each time it pops up
I've found that the absolute best way to get supreme helper minion is journey mode. It's a very efficient way of grinding out fishing quests by skipping to the next day, and if you're quick about things you can get it done in only a few hours.
Doing it normally is quite easy actually, just make multiple accounts (max) and make a couple of worlds with angler moved in and boom do the quests and do it fast (kinda)
What I normally do for the fishing quests, is every time I go fishing I stock up on at least 7 of the same fish before turning the quest in. That way, when a future quest demands the same fish, I can just turn it in immediately without needing to fish for that day. Now why 7? Mainly because that was the only space I had left in my piggy bank xD but looking back at it, you are insured for a whole week worth of the same quest. And with all the kinds of quest fish there is, that's a big potential of completed quests. Now whether or not this saves time, well it sure saves sanity.
My friend got them all by just farming journey mode, he was racing my other friend who wasn’t using journey mode. It ended up being really close with my journey mode friend winning just because of the fishing quests. We called him cringe for farming journey ever since.
Well well well gungnir thanks to the 1.4.4 labor of love update, new achievements are introduced including, collecting hard accessories like the cellphone
For Fishing Quests!!! Enchanted Sundial to skip extra time, and a bed will be a necessity. You can only turn in 1 quest per day at the angler but the fish itself is not limited to 1 per day. It detects whether it is in your inventory and if not, will add it into the odds you can reel it in fishing. Once you have it, you can put it away into a piggy bank or vault to store it and later move to a chest. From there, use as much time as you can during that day to get as many of those quest fish as possible to turn in if they ever show up for the angler again. It speeds the process up A LOT. Things like fishing potions and the angler set, will increase fishing power, therefore speeding up the time it takes to reel a fish as well as increasing the value of the item reeled typically based off a loot table. Essentially, better fishing power means you can get more quest fish in the same amount of time further reducing the time required.
Pretty sure he did all of this except sundial, but sundials are only available in pearlwood (+rare hardmode ore) crates, so the time it would take to grind it might not be worth it (plus it’s hardmode and he seemed pretty adamant to do it pre hardmode) I guess he decided that the time it would take to progress the game enough to where he can get it would waste too many in game days to justify getting a skip mechanic
Man I spend my early game setting up various fishing ponds for everywhere I could. Then catch as many quest fish for the day as possible (put the one you catch into a safe/piggy bank) and then have chests on chests of questfish at the angler house. After a certain point you only need to fish like once every 10 quests, and you're still hitting a quest every single day.
i've only recently started playing Terraria for the 1st time, i get lost so easily but watching people like yourself make videos like this makes me actually want to play it more then i already do :), Great Video man!
I did this challenge while watching your stream and for some reason the windy day event wouldn't spawn in but it spawned in last week so I completed all my achievements
Congrats! I did the same thing however I wasn't as lucky as you... it took me a whole 13 hours of fishing to get the zephyr fish for my final achievement X_X (until the new update, but those took like 10 mins to do XD) However I didn't do it in expert, as difficulty wasn't really a thing when I started playing (Well there was hardcore but I ain't losing my freaking progress everytime I die) besides that there might of been difficulty like mediumcore, but I honestly cant remember I was 8 when I started playing and only a year ago did I get all the achievements o-o
fishing quests are SO easily grindable on console/ anything you can have splitscren on, due to the movable sun easter egg being usable during character selection, including non firstplayer menus. you know where this may be going. the time will actually change when you move the sun on a second/third/etc player character menu screen, meaning you can essencially skip 98% of the entire damn day just by grabbing a second controller and going into second player on it, it is so easy to do and is so overpowered.
If you didn't know Gungnir, if you have a piggy bank available on hand, you can store the quest fish to be able to fish another one. This enables you to collect more quest fish making the fishing part less tedious. Edit: Looks like he was doing the thing
If you look carefully when he's doing the fishing quests, he does the trick to get multiple of each quest fish by throwing it out of his inventory and then stored them all in the chests above the Angler's house
I remember grinding fishing quest after fishing quest on a recent game and getting up to 192 successful quests, only to get an in-game glitch that reset all my achievements back to square one, deleting my progress. There's no way in hell I'm repeating that again. The worst part is that my progress was still recorded on my steam account, so it'll always have a counter of 192/200, taunting me endlessly. My respect for actually going through this.
Finished all but the feast of Midas achievement, because I thought in order to craft the golden delight, you needed on of EACH critter, not one of any critter. I had gotten just about half of the golden critters I needed when I walked by a cooking pot with some of the critters in my inventory, and saw the golden delight and was shocked, and then realized my mistake. Knowing that I spent hours grinding for nothing kind of hurts, but at least now I’ve got all the achievements.
Try searching for Doctor Bones at night, in the Underground of the Jungle but still above the "Underground Jungle" biome, wait for a Blood Moon, battle potion and water candle and be sure to make it a flat area with little to no pockets for other enemies to spawn in, if you have all the other achievements then you should have a Zenith, use that to mow down everything until a Doctor Bones spawn. Mine took way too long too
10:51 Pre-Mech fishron to save time >> Farmed for the Adamantium armor which usually takes a long time (and cant be stockpilled with crates since they patched this out)
When I first started playing Terraria, I managed to get most achievements without trying (fishing just took a while). When I started my 2nd playthrough just a few months ago (when 1.4 arrived on switch) I tried getting all the remaining ones, but I can not, for the love of god, get the frost legion achievement. Dunno know why exactly. If I'm not mistaken, it says: finish wave 20 during the event. Well... I did, (barely) but it didn't unlock. This is really annoying.
I know it's been one year but I started playing Terraria like 3 weeks ago and was stuck on that achievement too. There's an important difference between Frost Legion and Frost Moon. What you and I tried at first was doing 20 waves on Frost Moon, but what you need for the achievement is the Frost Legion! The latter can be summoned by using a Snow Globe.
@@9012Ferdinand Oh, I see. Well, thanks for the reply. I'm sure I'm gonna pick up Terraria again some time in the future ^^ Yet, I'm not sure where I can get a snow globe.
I remember trying to get the "Slayer of worlds" Achievement back in 2017 when I first knew of it (after I defeated the eye of Cthulhu) and tried to get the achievement. And it took me like 3 or 6 months to get I can't remember exactly but I did this with a friend bc we wanted to do the thing together and we did. And I still haven't completed all achievement after 5 years lol
Believe it or not my first achievement ever completed was bulldozer. Now you may be trying to deny me on this but back when terraria was less updated there was a weird glitch where for some reason the quests wouldn’t activate when you complete them. It used to be a meme for the benches achievement where you could craft like a million crafting benches and place them down but you still wouldn’t get the achievement. Anyway the glitch ended up getting fixed and the went back onto terraria and started mining a bit for an underground arena (because they were popular back then) and got the bulldozer achievement for my first achievement.
I got the fishing achievement done before tmodloader stopped giving achievements, but now there's that purify the world quest that is even more insane.
i think it took me around a 1000 hours of just playing normally to get the last fishing quest it certainly takes a while but i think thats good its the only achievement in the game that actually feels like an achievement
The sad part is, despite how iconic it is, the terraspark boots aren't actually worth it without doing something niche like this all achievements run. It takes hours upon hours to get and provides worse results overall than amphibian boots.
In what world are they worse overall than the amphibian boots? The _only_ thing the amphibian boots have over the terraspark boots is the jump speed which is only beneficial in a boss fight and not even necessary. Terraspark give water walking, reduced lava damage and lava IMMUNITY. The rocket boots are better than the fledgling wings and very nearly as good as early hardmode wings. Also unless you're speedrunning the game or are SUPER unlucky, there's no reason not to try for the terraspark boots. Lava fishing is fun and gives a lot of good loot, and nearly all of the other stuff you will likely come across from just exploring which most players will do anyway.
@@BloodChampagne First of all, greater flight speed is always useful. Second of all, walking on water is super situational and can be achieved with water walking potions. Y'know, something that doesn't sacrifice an entire accessory slot. Third of all, temporary lava immunity and reduced lava damage is similarly super niche. The only way I could see that being useful is while in hell, and even then, obsidian skin potions just do the job better while also not sacrificing an accessory slot. Fourth of all, a pair of fledgeling wings boosted with amphibian boots out-perform rocket boots both in potential height and speed. Fifth of all, "lava fishing is fun"? Seriously? Are you, no pun intended, baiting me? How is fishing for hours on end with upwards of over a minute in between catches thanks to the slower catch times in non-water fluids for crates that only have a single-digit-percent chance to give the item you want fun to you? I'd also like to point out that the running speed difference between the two is literally only 2 miles per hour. I've done testing with the stop watch.
i decided to check my achievements when i watched this and ive never killed dr.bones, all 3 mechs at once, and i have never thrown the terrarian. i have done everything else
So, at one point I wanted to do the fishing quests too, in order to 100% the game. There is in fact a way to complete the achievement much much faster. The first thing about fishing is that if you get assigned a quest it creates the possibility of the fish being fished, which means you can fish up more than one in a single day, that is if you do it normally. It only checks to see if you have on in your inventory to see if it can give you another in fishing, so if you bring a chest and put each quest fish in a chest, you can fish up as many as you want; so why is this valuable if you can only turn in one quest per day? Well there is a way around that as well. If you turn in a quest, then quit to menu, and change your characters name to anything else, you can turn in as many fish as you want. Also, this would meet your requirements for all achievements on one character in one world.
Journey mode is a massive grind in and of itself if your goal is to research all items in the game. Getting enough crates from fishing for research took ages. Then there's banners... especially that nymph one. Obviously for that you need to use Journey mode's cheats to crank up the spawn rate, but even then that one took a very, very long time. Can't imagine getting that item on a normal world.
I actually died at a jungle temple and I saw a nymph and when I got back it was gone😢 but luckily a day later I randomly got the achievement “Deceiver of Fools” and I was pretty happy
