Hi friends, I am so excited to share this news with all of you. I don't know if anyone reads my post but here it goes. Dental hygiene has been my dream since the moment I graduated from highschool. It has been a long journey from trying to get into the dental program. I will try my best to share this journey with all of you. I am almost at 700 subscribes! Hey! About how long did the process take to get accepted to the Concorde hygiene program? (reaching out/applying, taking the wonderlic and hesi, interview, then starting classes?) I want to start later this year so wondering if I have time!

Congratulations 🎉 you must be so excited!!! I’m considering going the trade school route myself. Did you need to take out loans if you did did they require a co-signer? Do they have an option to pay after you graduate? Sorry if this is too personal lol

With the loans, it depends on your credit score, if your credit score is too low you will have to have a co signer

Hi Danielle, I did take out a loan and I needed a co signer. They do not have an option to pay after graduation. A monthly minimum payment must be done every month.

Hi, thank you. I was working one day a month at an office, but being a single mom and a full time dental hygiene student did not permit me to. I am thinking about making a video in the near future about how I manage my finances during dental hygiene school.

Loved the video! just wanted to ask, for someone who has no pre-requisites and is currently looking into the dental hygiene program at Concorde, which is the better option between trade school and college? Specifically in terms of becoming a dental hygienist the quickest. Lastly I am currently not employed and was wondering if I should hold off on getting a job and apply first to school. Thank you :)

I have been watching your videos on RU-vid and I absolutely love them I don’t miss any of them! I’m so nervous and excited because I just took the Wonderlic assessment and I passed! Hey Ari (: , thank you for watching my videos 🤍 congratulations on taking the Wonderlic test. For the Hesi test , I suggest that you study as much as you can and take practice test online. Normally they allow us to retake the test twice for free . If you get a decent score and still pass, I would suggest trying to retake the test to get a higher grade (: . Good luck on you test , it’s not as difficult as they make it out to be (:

Thank you 💕 For the wonderlic test theirs a website online you can practice from. And for the Hesi test I practiced off of websites. Some campus offer tutoring for free to.

I’m in dental assistant right now at Concorde . I wonder if I’m able to transfer credits to another Concorde location. I’m in San Antonio but might have to move soon

How you doing in the program? I just started the RT program in Concorde and got a shit ton of homework and assignments already that got me super stressed out. I have 4 essays to write, 4 assignments due and all that and all due this week. Kind of regret signing up but have to do it for my future lol

Hey , thank you for watching 💕 1.) wonderlicpractice. Com is a good website or if you ask your school they can recommend you to some practice websites that you don’t need to pay for . 2.) yes , study study study for at least 2 hours a day and if you don’t understand something get tutoring .

Yes, the process to getting into the dental hygiene program consist of taking an exam on the wonderlic and scoring a specific score, and a hesi that must be taken prior to getting accepted. After the interview process you just wait for a phone call and an email that says you have been accepted ☺️

Also one more question, did you get to use a calculator or at least scratch paper for the math portion of the wonderlic test?

@@ellenajackson7877 for the wonderlic you get 3 tries and then have to wait I believe 6 months. The next time you take it you only get 2 tries. As far as the hesi exam yes you can use scratch paper and they have a digital calculator. If you taking the hesi within I believe the last 3 years your good to go. (This is for Concorde)

Hello ☺️ if you ask the counselor she can give you some recommendations on what is needed to study to pass the hesi. They also offer tutoring on campus , and some websites have online study sessions ☺️

I’m 22 years old. I DONT want to be a dental assistant for very long because the pay is very low. The only reason I’m being a dental assistant is to put my foot in the door plus there are some offices that are willing to invest in your schooling… how long were you a dental assistant and how many days a week did you work while completing your prerequisites?

Hi Breanna (: thank you for watching this video. I applied to Concorde career college. I chose the trade school route because it was what fit me as a single parent (location, time management, financially) if you can, try doing a community college it is less expensive!

@@BreSandovall I understand, pay can be very low for the amount of work we do in the dental office. I was a dental assistant for 6 years, I was working 4 days a week. I only finished two of my pre-reqs because work, being a parent and school was not aligning with my schedule. Therefore, I am completing all my pre-reqs in the dental hygiene program. Try finding an office that can work around your school schedule, this is tough because majority of dentist want a dental assistant to stay in the office for a long time.

@margaritagaona I have a question so I’ve been a dental assistant for 13 years and the hygienist I worked with told me I should go to school for it because of the way I am at work. I wanted to know when you went to concordia college was it online? I was asking because I still want to work as I go to school, but I know it could be kind of hard 😅
