Research shows that the best way to learn a language is to have authentic experiences with it with Comprehensible Input.
Rather than boring grammar lessons, we provide free interesting listening experiences for learners of Spanish. By listening to our stories, culture explanations and games, you will get used to real Spanish as it's used in context, and develop a native-like intuition for the grammar and the vocabulary, together with a clear pronunciation. The videos try to be easy enough for a complete beginner to start picking up the language.
Comprehensible Input means that the videos try to use basic Spanish as much as possible and be easy enough for a complete beginner in the language to get the gist of the story and start picking up vocabulary. That way you'll get that i+1 necessary to make fast progress in the language.

I learned English the same way without even realising it and when I decided to get a certificate my English teacher didn't believe me at first. In the end I passed my exams and I still can't remember not even a single grammar rule 😅 So once I heard about comprehensible input I searched online for CI in Spanish and I found your channel. You are doing a wonderful job and I can't thank you enough !

I predict that twenty years from now, this method will be the dominant way to acquire language. Dreaming Spanish has greatly helped this revolution along. I am surprised no one has created a channel, for people that want to learn English, that copies his website.

I've kinda had it easier than someone who has started learning spanish from zero (i've been trying and failing for just over the 10 year mark) and listening to your videos have given me the realization that I can actually learn languages! Right now i can understand 50% of television, can understand 60% of most your videos from the bottom up (which is how i'm using your playlist 😂😂). But after reading your blog about how its not as cool as we think it might be to be fluent is so true! I'm not fluent yet but now i can understand why language learning is so fun! Thank you pablo you're literally changing me life as now when I learn spanish to a higher level I will spend more time with this language, and others that i will learn (portuguese and burmese), its like playing a video game that now i can see myself almost beating a hard boss fight that I kept failing at!! 😂😂😂😅😅

In my past life I studied and worked as an engineer in Canada and became super bored so I can definitely relate. I also changed my life focus, countries, etc. I'm really enjoying the language process, but also following your journey!

I am beginning to agree with this theory . I also believe that it is better to learn by listening and once you have a grasp of that , then you can move on to reading either fiction or Grammar textbooks , because I have discovered that , having acquired an excellent level of reading , it actually interferes with my ability to understand spoken language . You do not hear the language when you read it . You cannot pick up the extra mass of information contained in the spoken language . Text is an extremely simplified version of the language , not even close , really to what the language actually is . PS. What do you think of that Laura in "Spanish After Hours" ? That girl is really taking off !!

Tengo un viaje de aprendiendo similar a lo tuyo, en escuela yo tenia classes de Francais, y los odia, aprendi casi nada. Despues tres an~os! Por eso, es un sorpendo grande a aprender Espanol tan rapido comparado con Francais, y tambien mientras pasando bien! Lo disfruto mucho! Y una parte es gracias a ti!

Estudiando los idiomas que yo y mi esposa queramos a visitar. Por exemplo el ano pasado viajamos a Viet Nam. Por unos meses estudiamos la lingua de Vietnam. Hablamos muy bien. Pero hablamos suficiente para tenamos divertimos. En este pais. Y tambien, mucho personas en mi gimnasio son de Russo y quiero hablar con ellos asi qui estudie esta lingua. En los Estados Unidos hay MUCHOS personas que hablan espanol. Y es muy fácil a practicar mi espanol. Obviamente todos las personas sería diferente. Y es la divertida en la vida! 😁

Very interesting to hear you used AJATT. I really love your videos. I’m learning Spanish and am around an A2 level, maybe a high A2. Do you have any recommendations, beyond watching your intermediate videos? Where would you suggest finding content for reading or other series etc to consume at this kind of level?

How did you find comprehensible input for learning Japanese when obviously something like DreamingJapanese doesn't exist yet? I'm not interested specifically in Japanese, but I want to use the method for other languages. It's just that I'm not sure how you did it starting from beginner. Wouldnt it be really difficult to find super beginner resources?

Por favor, Pablo, diíame, la voz suya es muy suave, masculino y claro pero hay caracteristicas que no tienen que ver con el timbre. "car, zar, gar" por ejemplo, a mi, suenan como inglés. En general, la "a" es menos como he oido en cualquier otro lugar, excepto los EEUU. Hay tantos hombres españoles y estadounidenses que hablan de tenor pero esto no es eso. Debería decir que la manera, el "accento" que usa es "de Barcelona" especificamente? ¿Ha oido el accento Basco? Es muy masculino también pero brusco, en mi opinion y en general. Me gustaría conocer y saber más de su voz y las influencias que lo crearon. La razón por la que estoy tan interesado es que tuve que crear mi voz de una manera que te parecería desafortunada. Fueron necesarios 10 años.
