I find if I do eat "junk" related meals and I work out regularly, it doesn't take long at all to get back to the body I love because the body is used to working out. Lifting weights, I have found, at age 63, has really helped me define a little more and lose weight, of course, with healthier daily meals. Tracy, you look lovely and thank you for the wonderful tips.

Great video Tracy! I started lifting heavy about 2 years ago so many people told me that I should be careful or I would look bulky 🤣. I ignored them, I've been able to lose 20 lbs and keep it off because of my workout regimen.

Look I workout 6 days aweek strength training mostly and yes diet is key for definition. I used body build in the 80's so put of mass muscle and then clean diet. It takes discipline and focus for that but now I workout for my life's journey as retired so more relaxed but still focused on good healthy lifestyle. Thanks for your informative video. Happy days.💪💪❤

This was a great video Tracy. You hit on some great points. Diet and exercise go hand in hand. You can't work off a bad diet. Also the misconception that women are going to get massive muscles. I used to think that and my son who goes to the gym regularly used to laugh. He said look how much men lift to try to obtain more muscle mass and women think it will happen so easily. Should also mention that if you have muscle you will burn more fat even at rest.

Even before I watch the video I knew you were going to say it’s all food related and loosing fat because I saw one of you meal prep videos and I saw you are very strict with you diet. It’s the best way to look more toned and defined.

Thank you for another great video, Tracy. I knew there was a good reason you were choking down steak. Lol. I have a question and a request for you to consider. First, could you please share the best (easiest) way to figure out your macros needed for weight loss AND building muscle? Macros seems to be the new buzz word but I still find it confusing. Secondly, would you please consider doing another Walk With Me video? I loved the one you did last year. I watch it while I’m on my treadmill. I understand that it’s discipline and not motivation that keeps us going, but I know you’ll understand when I say that walking “with you” and listening to your powerful message is so motivating to me. Thank you in advance!

Thank you for the nice feedback. I am getting used to the steak. I have the perfect way of cooking and seasoning it-only a couple of more weeks. I don’t plan to add it to my next plan. Mastering the proper Macronutrient breakdown is specific to each person. In my Healthy & Fit Coaching Bundle, I write a personalized Nutrition Plan for the client, which includes a Macro breakdown to complement the client's goals and what we are working with, to begin with (where they are coming from .. physique-wise). In one-on-one coaching, while I don’t write a Nutrition Plan for the client, we can discuss the diet, and I can make suggestions on what Macros should provide the best results in the timeframe we are working with. It’s funny that macros are a new buzzword. People have been counting Macros forever. There’s always a new craze out there, but often, there's nothing new at all. Thank you for suggesting the ‘Walk with Me Video’. Funny, I was just thinking about how I need to do another one soon. YES, I definitely will film that video. Keep up the great work and getting the jb done.

Great video! My arms are pretty toned, but the skin is so creepy. Especially on the front of my biceps I haven't lost weight or gained and lost weight over my lifetime. I don't understand how to fix that part. Any ideas? Thanks!!❤ By the way, I'm 71 is it's just something I have to accept?

Thank you and for sharing, too. It sounds like you have managed yourself well. Congratulations and keep up the hard work! The creepy skin just comes the more years gravity has an advantage. Yes, I do believe skin is something you must come to terms with. I rarely wear shorts because my thighs are extremely fit, but my skin doesn't look taut anymore. The same applies to my stomach from 5 pregnancies and the stretching. I focus on what’s in my control and not emphasize what is not in my control.

Even though I’m slim, I have too much body fat. Hard to tell I work out with weights. It’s frustrating. I’m 5’5”, 121 pounds, but kind of flabby. Ugh! I’m mostly plant based but maybe too many cheat meals. Just got back from a Florida vacay and ate too many snacks.

Thank you for sharing. The ‘SAD’ Cheat Meals and lack of quality Protein are likely the culprits. Everyone will see through a different lens when it comes to food choices, my experience in working with middle-aged women and something to consider and research: Protein is critical, especially as we age (animal protein, mainly) to lessen the likelihood of Osteopenia and Osteoporosis and simply the breakdown of our bodies.

@@TracyHensel thank you for your reply. I did some research on protein intake and many studies show no difference on muscle growth with more protein. I looked on PubMed and saw this one: Bhasin S., Apovian CM, Effect of Protein, in addition to other good studies. Some of the greatest athletes, like Rich Rolls, are vegans. I’m not a vegan but I limit my animal protein to no more than 3 x a week and only organic. Dr. Pam Popper of The Wellness Forum, in Columbus, Ohio, recommends much less protein based on good RC studies. I am a concierge member with her. She is about my age, a vegan, and has good muscle mass because of her work outs and healthy plant based diet. I also read The China Study and it showed the more protein, the more cancer. I’m not trying to argue with you but based on my decisions on good data. You do look very toned so obviously what you are doing is working for you.
