In this video, I will share how I got my LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE for a Study Permit to Canada. Find out the step by step process I followed to receive a letter of acceptance from BCIT. I have also shared an elaborate timeline for each step.
To start, I have explained what I considered to narrow down the search of My Top 3 Schools before choosing BCIT. I'll also explain steps in the registration process in signing up for my Student ID at BCIT. Moreover, I'll break down the documents I submitted before lodging in my BCIT program application. After, I'll explain how I managed to get my LOA within a MONTH with the TIMELINE shown in this video. Lastly, I'll reveal some details found in my Letter of Acceptance that IRCC requires before getting your Canada Study Permit Application approved!

Hi John. I just checked for you. The processing time for study permit applications made outside Canada from the Philippines is 23 weeks. There has been massive delays due to the pandemic.

Hi Ate Rachel. I started doing research since November 2021 and I've always wanted to study in BCIT for their Digital Design & Development (D3) Program. You've been a part of my months of research and I just want to say thank you for setting up this youtube channel, would've been lost without your help. I just got my results today and I got waitlisted (I'm #4) now idk if I can ask for a conditional letter of acceptance so I can start my study permit processing or if I should just wait to be fully accepted in the program with a LOA. Hi Rachel. I already paid the BCIT application fee and they required me to take upgrading class in math 11 as well as in english. I guess they didn’t acknowledge my english and math subjects in college. Huhu.

Nag aapply po ako ngayo sa isang school sa canada. Hi dear! Thanks for your question. Each school has different admission requirements and most of the time, schools require Academic tests results for program entry. While some schools exempt this, it usually is for a short period of time due to the current situation with covid. So best to check with admissions if this may be required for her chosen program of interest... ☺️👍

Yes it’s very possible, as long as you meet program entrance requirements and then explain your intentions for studying that program in your SOP or letter of Explanation when you apply for a study permit ☺️👍 I took up Graphic design when I have an engineering background but managed ☺️ it may be different from case to case but it’s possible ☺️

You will need to check admission requirements for the school and program you wish to attend. You may need to take an English Proficiency Exam. And also prepare finances since studying in Canada as an international student is costly. What program were you looking into? 😊❤️

Hi, dear. at the time, I was not required to submit an ECA for program entry. I only applied for an ECA when I was applying for PR to Canada via Express Entry :)

The toughest part about the BCIT Application ITA was producing a design portfolio before I got accepted into the Graphic Design program. Oh and also I needed to get good IELTS scores (average of 7 in all categories). They are not so strict with grade requirements, at least from my experience. 😋

But I think those are Canadian school subjects, not sure kung ano ang equivalent for the subjects I finished sa bachelor's degree ko here in the Philippines. Your official transcripts from your secondary and post secondary school in Philippines will help them evaluate if your education passes their pre-requisites for program entry.

Another way to check is to get an Edcuation Credential Assessment which BCIT also offers called ICES. If that’s required from you, you may need to apply for one and pay $200 CAD for the assessment. But when I did mine back in 2017, it wasn’t required from me. I just submitted all the transcripts from PH.

Yes you most certainly can. As long as you are able to apply to a DLI or designated learning institution in Canada (that also offers PGWP) you can pursue your post-secondary studies here ❤️👍

When I got my conditional acceptance, I was asked to pay the non-refundable commitment fee of $1,000 and then a week after got my official LOA :) it also depends on the program and school, but everything I did has been elaborated on this video.

It takes awhile and issuance may be program-specific. However if you feel there’s a bit of delay, you can follow up by contacting the admissions office of BCIT ☺️ what program did you take?

international students pay 3-4x in tuition... they actually subsidize the tuition of locals (citizens and permanent residence) students just like me. For example, she paid a $1000 commitment fee, when it's usually $100-200. You can buy a new iPhone with that money.
