Hi Shaun, I’d just seen you in my home town in Swinton! I turned round to come back to say “Hi I love your videos” but you had already gone! Busy guy and small world! All the best Connor 👍
Hi mate, did you say there was a cheap napsack sprayer (oregon) going on some website recently, I can't seem to find that video where you mentioned it.
Hi this is the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ocfcYMYoMnU.html but to be fair any half decent sprayer should be ok.. All bieng well anyway
Apart from Weedol and Resolva for lawns, Doff do a weedkiller for lawns. You can also spot spray weeds with SBK as it’s safe for grasses. I wouldn’t spray after seeding though and any weeds that appear in Autumn I just mow over them and leave until the Spring. Nice to see the dogs again too.
Hi it's an incredibly old swordsman 14 cylinder mower.. The heavy steel rear roller is what brings them out.. It's not been working for a few months so I just push it over the lawn
Hi, I've got a quick question, I've just thrown seed down on Saturday, but the last couple of days has been really heavy rain, I didn't use compost to cover it, I did rake it in the soil then tread over the seeds. Will that be enough protection? Is there anything I can do to give the seeds a better chance to grown
Hi the rain may well have washed some seeds, floating them up into a new spot. Either wait a week and see what comes up then overseed bare spots, or just overseed it all but that is probably overkill. A fleece can help minimise things too
The seeds need contact with soil and water in order to germinate. They will germinate in total darkness as long as the other two conditions are met. After the stored energy in the endosperm is used up and the new leaves poke through the soil, photosynthesis will take over and continue the growth process.
You might have to use an alternative product that's available in smaller doses, as I'm not sure or even aware that they do smaller bag sizes I'm afraid
Do you think turfsolve is good to use on a lawn that has had a few crane flies about? I put nematodes on 3 weeks ago but I was thinking of trying this too as nematodes did nothing last year (although I have sandy soil now). If there are no negatives then I'll give it a go as its supposed to help disease which occurs easily due to the density of the grass types.
@@stevenbelcher5658 I've done it the other way around! Did Turfsolv a few weeks back and going to do Nematodes in a few more weeks! Don't know if it's the other stuff I did at the same time, but the lawn is looking better already and I know I've got grubs in there as the new dog randomly attacks the lawn and the birds have done it for years, wish I'd watched this channel earlier!
Hi yes you can spray the whole lawn. They do a squirt bottle version with trigger for squirting weeds, or there is also a resolva concentrate which can be mixed with water for spraying entire lawns.
@@appiconll It's shaded until sunset then the surrounding houses and tree casts a shadow a few mins after lol. Some has been in full shade for over a month.
Hi Shaun well done you keep it up you are doing a great job and having fun making some brilliant videos superstar Ali Walsall west midlands england junction 10 m6 Walsall churckery up the walsall 😢😮😅😊
Hi 👋😊 not really, but each fertiliser will describe how long it lasts.. Liquids usually last a couple of weeks, granular last anywhere from 3 months to 6. The bag tells you how long it lasts. There are Fertilizer for all seasons but I wouldn't really put granular down in winter
Nice work man - looks good. I did my renovation about 3 weeks ago. Got rid of loads of meadow grass with a scarifier so there's bare patches. The seed isn't happy with the temperatures and lack of sun so? I'm gonna grow some seed in the greenhouse and do plugs of grass. It's a quicker solution
Sean can i use resolva on clover which is starting to take over i usually pull it out but now there is too much also do the americans call clover creeping charlie
