Dude I love this. It’s how I feel as well. Negative reviews and whatever always get more views. Humanity inherently gravitates towards negativity, but it’s good to have you on this platform to offer honesty. Also, CSI on the spectrum 💀💀💀

It's a weird situation but I think it should be obvious to viewers that if good brands with good ethics choose you or other demo people to make content for them, then likely you as a youtuber are doing a decent job of good ethics, even if it is behind the scenes. Loyal followers know our rigs as youtubers, and they get a place to go to hear new stuff through a rig and platform that they are (or can eventually be) familiar with. Nice to know you keep it real in the background. I always tune in here because it feels genuine. Well done!

It's funny how much crossover there is from the guitar community to the photo/video/video editing community. I feel as if some of those commenters are just saying things like that out of ignorance. Maybe they just want everyone to be super honest, or at least ONLY point out flaws. Thanks for pointing out why that's tricky. But I also feel as if other people need to understand how RU-vid works. For 99% of RU-vidrs....we don't WORK for RU-vid. We all START making videos for free. But unless the commenters want to order me a pizza or pay my bills, stop accusing RU-vidrs of being too positive. We don't have to sell trash,. But if we seem like we're promoting something, BIG DEAL. Besides, people, never buy something ONLY from a good review. (except from Sasha, he deserves it) Anyway, thanks for putting this video out!

I don’t care how you make your money brother! You provide a service by creating awesome content on gear that happens to be under my umbrella of interest. I pay for youtube premium so I don’t have to deal with watching the ads, but you still get credit for me watching the ads if I watch the video. Absolutely fine with me, don’t bother me at all. I comment, like, and subscribe to express my excitement and gratitude for the time you spent making the content. Because I realize it helps the algorithm to grow your channel here on youtube. I often buy the gear you review or show on your channel if I like it. I also became a Patreon member to further help support in a small way your passion and creativity. Soldier on Good Man! To HELL with the nay sayers. ❤️🙏🏻❤️

I think people are so used to polarized, sensationalized news, they're looking for it. Even news outlets are becoming more clickbaity by the week. For a large part companies and people want clicks. Clicks are not 'votes', 'likes' or anything, they're just engagement. Triggering people is a great way to get people to engage. I like the vibes on the channel. And of course the tones, gear and banter. I think that is on brand and this is exactly the message we need!

Your videos are rad as is. You're honest. You showcase the gear very well. Viewers who take an issue with you being positive and choosing not to bash brands on your channel, have a limited field of view. 99.9% of the people who say that, likely have never made a video and posted on RU-vid. They don't understand the work it takes to run a channel and partner with brands. They're not factoring in the actual relationships that are at play. It's not cool to publicly shit on someone else's hard work without giving them the professional courtesy of discussing that with them in private first. When you only understand RU-vid through the lens of a consumer you can't see that. Keep doing what you're doing. Thanks for providing the guitar playing community with a niche service that we pay nothing for.

You have my respect and my trust. I bought the Asheville Music Tools - ADG-1 because of the video you made demonstrating the pedal. My only regret is that you didn't answer my question about the dynamics of the pedal in time. Maybe I didn't give you enough time to answer... I went and bought it straight away. LOOOOL -Best Regards from Portugal!

Not a fan of recent Gibson either. But, on the positive side, they're making room for others to come in offering better value. You've featured the Baum Wingman, which is great, in that 1-2k price brand. And Sire and Epiphone offering amazing value at the lower 300-600 band. But one guitar that really impressed me recently is the Guild Polara Deluxe. Love my Sire 7-series, but the Polara is a cut above in quality. For 200 more, it's more lightweight, hardware is better, tonally more full. More tonal variety through the push-pull pots. I even prefer the neck, which is saying something because the Sire's neck is great. I much prefer it to Gibson's SG Special, and it's half the price.

Speaking just for me here… I’ve bought some of the pedals you’ve featured and I now trust your opinion… you can’t buy trust from viewers. You have to put in the work and it’s obvious that you do. I appreciate it 👍

I get what you mean, Sasha, yet, as a consumer of this free content, I sometimes lack the "negative" reviews. And by that, I don't mean "bashing a brand", but, to give an example: I've got a Formula B Mini Bender combo. Amazing fuzz, yet when you plug it into a solid state amp (I've got a Quilter 101R, which is about the best amp I've owned), the fuzz just doesn't work. No clean-up, fizzy...It would be nice to also get to see those kind of reviews. You know: also mentioning the flaws. I guess it's the scientist in me that wants to hear the full picture ;-) But in the end: I just watch your content for your enthousiasm and humor :-) Who cares about the gear ? 😛

It's soooo awesome you made that video because I subconsiously thought you like everything people sent you. I know it's stupid Man but you seem to be such a positive person that literally I thought "Man, he propably likes everything he gets" 😅 So good to know that. Ps. Just asking because of curiousity. How big is the percentage of pedals you sent back and there are no videos of them? I FEEL like most of pedals I have touched didn't click with me 😅😅 Cheers Sasha

I turn down around 30% of requests because I know I won’t jive with the product or don’t want to work with the brand at all. What gets sent back is maybe 5%?

I think negative or critical reviews of products are necessary (without slamming the entire company or their whole product line). How can viewers trust that reviews are honest and unbiased when everything is positive all the time? Well, we can't! We all know that no product is perfect, some are just OK, and some products just suck. We all know this, we all expect this, but the guitar RU-vid ecosystem does NOT reflect that reality AT ALL. That means some reviews must be biased and not truthful. But when all product reviews are all equally positive, we have no way of knowing which is fair and unbiased and which is not to be trusted. That affects the trust of all reviews and all channels. And that's a problem!

Negative content engages people. It keeps them clicking and reacting. In the short run, somebody might get something out of it, but in the long run, it's ruining communities, the internet and even society as a whole. Truth before anything, but it doesn't hurt to see the bigger picture, have a high level view of life and a minimum of compassion and understanding.
