UPDATE: Since some of you requested it, I have now added a template of the sheet I used in the video in the description of this video. You can make your own copy and rename things according to your own finances. A bit more info in the description box. Hope it helps! Please let me know if for some reason it doesn't work, and I'll try to fix it ASAP.
@@litokoba9976 everyone has access to it with the link in the description box - All you have to do is hit "File -- Make a Copy" and you'll have your own copy to edit.
thanks for the template! I'm planning to use it as base and automate it bit more to provide margins, cashflow info along with assets, liabilities . If you want me to share this file, please do let me know, I would feel happy to help
Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance- wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life..
Your template was so helpful! I worked out my spending for the year, figured out where I should cut back on subscriptions, and set up a new blank version with a potential budget for next year. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this informative video on budgeting! I really appreciate the clear and concise explanations, and I feel much more confident about creating a budget for myself. Great work!
A massive thank you Lina! This advice and spreadsheet has definitely saved my finances for the future!! I have always been lazy with managing money because havent had the need for it. Last few years have been tough since my monthly commisson has changed drastically and I didnt react to it. Started going into debt with budgets. With my calculations I will be debt free in 7 months. Im so happy! Greetings from Finland!
you're right, there is a better way to do it. I was doing it like you and now it's all automated for me. If you're interested I can share my template with you.. it gives you a dashboard too. All in google sheets.. all you have to do is do the daily journal entries and everything else is automated.
"Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It's quite simple, really: Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn't at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, so go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that's where you will find success." -- Thomas J. Watson----
Hi Lina -- this template was super helpful, thank you so much for sharing! Just had a quick question on the Credit Card section. I'm trying to keep track of how much my CC spend is but also have it be included as part of my overall spending (as I will be using money from my checking account to pay off this card every month). Not really sure the best way to go about tracking for both at the same time without double counting? (Not sure if this makes sense).
There’s also a ‘sum’ button in excel which you can just click, whilst the values you want to add up are highlighted. It’s a Sigma symbol in the top right.
Too much on the advertisement and promotion stuff. First, you should go through the "how I manage my money...". Or at least put much more time into that instead of discussing the watch stuff. Too much self-promotion.
It's a good thing you can easily skip through that! As I mentioned in the video, sponsorships are one of my income sources, I have bills to pay hahaha - And most sponsors will only be okay with the info being near the beginning of the video.
I clicked to see if I can probably see amy adjustmemts my Excel expense sheet but seems like it's very similar. I haven't been doing a good job with tracking my Bank account and paid a $5 from December 2022 so I am watching this video for motivation to do better. The pandemic got me fucked up eith stay at home for 1 year made me lazy.
Thank you so much for this video! I ve been looking for a template and a way to track my money, in a way which speaks and appeals to me, and which feels intuitive, without being too overly complicated. Thanks a ton, this has been a great start and has helped me get going!
50 bucks fog heath insurance where is that? Try 500 dollars a month must nf the obama one. Gas 50 wauu. Parking 30 dollars where do you lived Nicaragua.
Thanks for the tips! Just a suggestion that will make things easier for your subscribers: Sharing the template of the sheet you used in a video will be very helpful to people who enjoyed your model and want to start using your template, so they don't need to spend time going through the video to make a similar template, instead they can just download it.
Forget typing sum and brackets etc when wanting to add up just select the column or rows and add an empty box at the end then click auto Sum or the Greek E button and it adds it up for you and fills that number in the empty box. Bit easier.
I agree it was a bit long! But I do have bills to pay and like I said in the video sponsors are part of my income! The video is free to watch and the ad is easy to skip by.
Thanks for the work. The Daywork alouds awesome personal overviews and graphics for yourself. Make this for years ... and is going every day better and better.
If you always put SAVINGS as the top line of Expenses you will never be short and will be wealthy within 40 years. The book The Richest Man In Babylon by George Classon explains how to PAY YOURSELF FIRST. I read it at 24 and was financially-free by 46.
6 months late but how would you fill out the bank account and credit card portions? From what I grasped in the video, I think you track how much is in your account at the beginning of the month for bank accounts and for credit cards, it's how much you've accumulated within a month?
Nope at the end of the month!! Everything I do for each month is calculated at the end of the month. So I would state how much money each of those accounts has at the end. For credit cards, I'll put in whatever my statement balance was for that month - the exact number that's on my statement. Thankfully, my statements come pretty close to the end of the month, so it works out that way... but if your credit card statements come midway through the month or something and you want to reorganize yourself, I know some credit card providers will let you change the statement closing date by calling them up! :) hope that makes sense!
